7. Blinky

Young · Female · Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat)

Blinky is a 1.5-2 y/o old female Lab mix who weighs in at 40 pounds. This dog's adoption fee is $400. If you are still interested, please read more below.

Now that Blinky is comfortable in her foster home, her goofy and fun loving personality is coming out!! Blinky absolutely loves to play with her foster family's dogs, loves to shake toys as hard as she can, and enjoys sprinting around the backyard at top speed. She will take any opportunity to crawl in your lap and smooch your face, and although she prefers to sleep in her crate, Blinky is happy to snooze on the couch cuddled up to you.

Read more about Blinky

Blinky is a sweet, gentle girl who is looking for a patient, loving home. Once she feels safe, Blinky is affectionate and loves being petted and staying close to her people.

Blinky is a sensitive girl who can be nervous in new spaces, around loud noises, and when getting into the car. Her crate is her safe place, and she does best when given time and patience to build confidence. She settles well in the car once she’s comfortable.

Blinky slowly learned to make friends with other dogs. She was very nervous at first, but she has made great progress with her foster family’s two dogs and learned how to play and interact without being scared.

Blinky loves going outside and walks well on a leash! She is now potty trained, after very few initial accidents. She will do best with someone who will let her take things at her own pace and give her the reassurance she needs to blossom. She would do great as an only dog but would also be okay with other dogs once she gets comfortable with them. Blinky has not yet been tested with cats or children. Given her nervous tendencies, a home with older/respectful children would be best, if children are present.

Blinky is microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, housetrained, and spayed. This dog's family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing. A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you are interested in adopting this dog, fill out an Online Application today! 8. Julia

Adult (4 years 1 month) · Female · Pit Bull Terrier (short coat)

Meet Julia

THIS IS A COURTESY POST ONLY. THE SURRENDERING OWNER, NOT A.R.F., IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL INFORMATION PROVIDED, AND FOR COMMUNICATIONS WITH AND APPROVAL OR DENIAL OF APPLICANTS FOR THIS DOG.

Julia is a 4 year old female Red-nosed Pitbull who weighs in at approximately 60 pounds. Her brother, Caesar, is available as well. If you are still interested, please read more below.

Read more about Julia

Julia was abandoned with her brother, Caesar, in a park by her human about 1 month ago. After a short stint at the local animal control as a stray, she and her brother were claimed by a very kind person who knew the dogs and gave them a temporary home to keep them safe until they could find their forever home(s). Julia is a low-key girl but she insists on getting the lion's share of attention when love is being handed out. She is confident and happy, loves naps and people. Julia enjoys children age 10 or older due to her larger size and exuberance. She has not been exposed to cats and is yet to be tested with other dogs other than her brother. She was housetrained but with the upheaval and uncertainty in her life recently, there have been mishaps. With a routine schedule, she should be reliably trained again quickly. She has not yet shown that she understands commands and needs work on leash-walks. She is eager to please and treat motivated, so additional training on these should be a breeze and will be an opportunity to form a solid bond with her person/people! Julia is the leader for her brother, Caesar, when they are together but they can be adopted separately. She is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm negative. As with all dogs, she will need to be placed on a heartworm preventative during mosquito weather to keep her healthy.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, fill out an Online Application today! Once your application has been processed, the owner will contact you to arrange a meeting. The owner will be asking for a donation from adopters of $225 each or $375 for both.

Caesar was abandoned with his sister, Julia, in a park by his human about 1 month ago. After a short stint at the local animal control as a stray, he and his sister were claimed by a very kind person who knew the dogs and gave them a temporary home to keep them safe until they could find their forever home(s). Caesar is a sweet, loving guy who stays very close to his person(s) for a sense of security. He is curious and loves chew toys. He is less out-going than his sister and looks to her for confidence at times. Caesar enjoys children age 10 or older due to the sometimes unpredictable behaviors, movements and vocals of younger children. He has not been exposed to cats and is yet to be tested with other dogs other than his sister. He was housetrained but with the upheaval and uncertainty in his life recently, there have been mishaps. With a routine schedule, he should be reliably trained again quickly. He has not yet shown that he understands commands and needs work on leash-walks. He is eager to please and treat motivated so additional training on these should not be difficult, and this is an opportunity to form a solid bond with his person/people and increase his confidence and your enjoyment! Caesar's sister, Julia, is currently his "go-to" for comfort when they are together but they can be adopted separately. 10. Michelle

Adult · Female · French Bulldog (short coat)

Michelle is a 6 year old female Frenchie who weighs in at 20 pounds. This dog's adoption fee is $400. If you are still interested, please read more below.

Meet Your New Sweetheart

This sweet lady is a gentle soul who may be a little shy at first, but give her some patience and a little time, and you’ll see her personality blossom. She’s the kind of girl who quietly follows her favorite person around, happy just to be near you.

Read more about Michelle

She does best with soft, calm affection and would love a cozy space of her own where she can retreat and feel safe. She doesn’t need long to open up when she knows she’s in a patient, loving home. Once she does, you’ll have a devoted little companion by your side.

She’s potty trained as long as she gets regular potty breaks, and she walks very nicely on leash. She enjoys short walks and exploring at her own pace. Loud, fast-moving cars can still make her nervous, so she’ll appreciate a little reassurance and understanding while she continues building confidence.

She is wonderfully friendly with children, as well as both dogs and cats, making her a great fit for a home with furry siblings.

Michelle has been treated for heartworm and will have no lasting negative health effects.

If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle companion who will happily follow you from room to room and become your little shadow, this girl is your gal. Give her the patience to come out of her shell, and she’ll reward you with a whole lot of love.

11. Waylon and Cash

Senior · Male · Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler (short coat)

Waylon and Cash are 8 year old bonded male Australian Cattle Dogs who weigh in at 70 and 60 pounds respectively. The combined adoption fee for both dogs is $300. If you are still interested, please read more below.

Waylon and Cash find themselves in need of a new home. Their human dad had a major medical event and will be selling his home with a fenced yard and moving into more of an apartment type setting where the dogs would need to be walked. Due to balance issues, this will not be feasible for their dad to do. These brothers have been together since birth and are looking for a new home with a fenced yard where they can stay together.

Read more about Waylon and Cash

Anyone who is familiar with Australian Cattle Dogs knows they need regular activity and exercise. Waylon and Cash would love a new home where they have the opportunity for daily walks/exercise. They do get excited when seeing other dogs on walks but will bark and react more toward each other than the other dog(s).

They were raised with young children and continue to see little kids regularly. They are sturdy herding breed dogs so a family who would keep them well exercised and monitor interaction to avoid anyone getting knocked over or too excited/mouthy will be important.

Waylon and Cash will sleep in the bedroom with you at night, but not on the bed. They are good with free roam of the house for approximately 6 hours. Waylon and Cash have always been treated well and have had a great home. Will you give them a chance and provide their new forever home?

Waylon and Cash are microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, housebroken, and neutered.
