He likes to play fetch, tug-of-war, and enjoys a good brisk walk through the neighborhood. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys a good snuggle on the couch with his human. He’s all up-to-date on his shots, has been neutered and is ready for adoption. He is very new to our rescue so we will update his bio as we get to know him a little better.

Read more about A Kalipso
For eight years, Kalipso was the cherished companion of a loving woman who recently passed away. Her mom gave her a wonderful life filled with love, comfort, and lots of toys.
Although she has been through significant changes recently, Kalipso continues to greet each day with a wag of her beautiful plume-like tail and a good appetite. Many kind and dedicated people at Save A Yorkie Rescue have worked hard to help her navigate this transition and prepare for her forever home.
Kalipso may be small in size, but once she has had time to settle into her new home and build trust with her family, her strong, curious, and determined personality begins to shine. When she first arrives, she can be scared, timid, and nervous as she adjusts to unfamiliar surroundings. With patience, understanding, and love, she blossoms into an energetic little girl who enjoys exploring her surroundings and taking an interest in everything around her. She rides beautifully in the car, sleeps peacefully through the night, eats all her meals, and has good house manners. She uses pee pads and will also happily go outside when taken on walks.
Having been an only dog her entire life, we believe Kalipso would thrive as the only pet in her new home. She enjoys being the center of attention and would love a family where she can receive all the love, affection, and companionship she deserves.
If you are looking for a loyal, spirited, and loving companion, Kalipso may be the perfect little girl for you. She is ready to begin the next chapter of her life with a family who will cherish her as much as she cherished her beloved mom.
Kalipso is staying with Kathy in Voorhees, NJ.

She is fine with the other dog in the house, not a lot of interaction but that may come. Would be fine as a one an only. It appears separation anxiety will be an issue and
needs
work on leash skills
but I’m confident that will come!

Sebastien is available for adoption.
He is 18 months old and weighs 10 lbs.
His adoption fee is $900.00.
Hi ! I’m Sebastien I was picked up as a stray by animal control in NJ. There I had two previous adopters. One said I had too much energy and barked too much at his clients. The other had a large pig which they thought would hurt me. It was at that point SAYR pulled from the shelter and transported me to CT. where I’ve been at my foster family for a little over a week.

I’m learning a lot and still have more manners to learn: I can be protective of food, and treats. I think I’m figuring it out, I don’t have to worry about getting food regular now. I love treats! Have I mentioned, I have lots of energy? I’m in good shape, very trim and have good teeth.
I love toys, hugs and cuddling. I’m okay with cats, but not gonna lie… when I get bored, I chase her. Foster mom said this is a NO. I’m still learning. I have a foster older brother, another Yorkie. I sometime play very rough, but he corrects me. I can be spicy to new people, but I warm up quick when I realize they won’t hurt me. (He is the sweetest and most playful boy once he feels safe)
Sebastien is staying with Gisele in Waterbury, CT 06710.

7. A Beckett
Young (2 years 2 months) · Male · Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie

Beckett is available for adoption. He is 2 years old and weighs 11 pounds. His adoption fee is $850.00.Hi! I'm Beckett. I was found as a stray in Harrisburg, PA but luckily SAY Rescue pulled me out of the shelter and brought me to my new foster family in Livingston, NJ! I am around 11 lbs and estimated to be around 2 years old.
Read more about A Beckett
My favorite activities are:
1. Cuddling and being close with my foster mom or foster doggy brother
2. Short walks (I'm great on a leash!)
3. Rolling around on my back and digging imaginary holes
4. Sleeping in bed between my foster mommy and daddy
My foster mommy says I'm the cutest thing ever. Just look at me! I'm not a fan of being in my crate but I will tolerate it after some whining. I am learning to play fetch and to ring the bell when I want to go outside. I get along great with my foster brother and love to chase and follow him around the yard. I do like getting all the attention, though. Whenever my foster mommy pets my foster brother, I try to wiggle in to get in on the action. I am very good at doing all my business outside but I occaisionally like to mark my territory so my foster mommy sometimes puts me in a belly band. With some consistent training, I should get over this pretty quickly and am doing much better already.
I am a playful, spunky guy that also enjoys relaxing and cuddling. I love being close and am looking for a forever home to give me all the love and attention I deserve. Could that be you?
Beckett is staying with Maryanne in Livingston, NJ.

Meet Dylan: The Resilient, Toy-Loving Shadow!
Look at this little face and try not to fall in love! Dylan is a 15 pound Yorkie with a big personality, an even bigger heart, and a spirit that simply couldn’t be broken.
Found severely emaciated on the streets of Philadelphia, Dylan was so fragile that rescuers had to use soft blankets just to lift him safely. But this brave boy is a true warrior. After dedicated hospital care and a specialized refeeding program, Dylan has tripled his weight, regained his energy, and is ready for his true fresh start.
Why You’ll Fall Head Over Heels for Dylan:
Ultimate Shadow: Dylan adores toys, but his favorite place in the world is right by your side. He will happily follow you from room to room as your most loyal companion.
Smart & Eager: He already knows basic commands and is diligently making great progress on his house training!
A Total Sweetheart: Despite everything he’s overcome, Dylan trusts deeply. He is a rockstar at the vet... handling all his checkups and greets every human he meets with warmth and affection.
Cozy Pack Member: Dylan gets along well with other dogs in the right circumstances. He currently curls up to sleep in a little Yorkie snuggle pile with his foster siblings. He can share a home with other pups (with proper, patient introductions) or happily soak up all the love as your one-and-only.
Adventure Companion: He loves car rides, craves outdoor playtime, and is always up for a fun day out.
Dylan’s Ideal Home:
Work-from-Home or Present Humans: Dylan thrives on connection and would love a family where someone is around often.
Active Lifestyle: He’s looking for an active family who loves getting outdoors and taking him along for the ride.
Door Safety Conscious: Dylan has a fast pair of legs and loves to bolt! A secure front door, cautious family members, and a safe yard/leash routine are a must to keep him safe.
We don't know much about Dylan's past but he is a brave little survivor, and now all he needs is a forever home to complete his story. If you’re looking for a loving, resilient, and affectionate companion to fill your home with joy, apply to meet Dylan today!
Dylan is staying with Amanda in Washington, DC.

9. A Armani
Adult (3 years 10 months) · Male · Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie

Armani is available for adoption. He is 3 1/2 years old and weighs 8 lbs. His adoption fee is $800.00.
Meet Armani
Hi everyone! I’m Armani, a 3½-year-old Yorkie boy weighing 8 pounds, and I’m staying with my foster family in Voorhees, NJ.
I’m still working on some things, especially my walks, and we’re trying different techniques to help me feel more comfortable. I’m a work in progress, but Foster Mom says that’s okay—some things just take time.
Read more about A Armani
I’m also making little steps with being left alone. My foster mom has started leaving me with her dogs for short periods, and having my furry friends around seems to help me feel less worried. I’m slowly learning that she always comes back.
But the best thing about me? I’m a total sweetheart! I love my foster mom, stay right by her side, and follow her around like her little shadow. I’m looking for someone patient and understanding who will give me the time, love, and guidance I need to keep growing.
I may need a little extra patience, but I promise I have lots of love to give!
Armani’s perfect forever home will be with someone patient, gentle, and deeply loving — an adopter who understands that trust grows slowly and beautifully with time. He thrives when someone is home often, ideally a person who works from home or is around during the day, so he can feel secure and supported as he continues to blossom.
His ideal family will enjoy taking long, steady walks to help him build confidence and explore the world at his own pace. Regular socialization, calm reassurance, and a predictable routine will help him feel safe and grounded. Armani is a sensitive little soul who wants to be close to his person, and with the right adopter, he will flourish into the happy, confident companion he’s meant to be.
Armani proves, every single day, that he’s absolutely worth the time, love, and commitment that is given to him.
Armani is staying with Kathy in Voorhees, NJ.
