Meet Lance! This handsome guy is about 20lbs and around 17 weeks old. He has spent more of his puppyhood in a shelter instead of romping and playing like he deserves. Meet Delta Just look at those adorable ears! Delta is a precious 1–2-year-old girl weighing about 25 pounds, and she is still very much a puppy at heart! She has some puppy energy to burn and is always ready for fun and adventure Delta loves being outside, taking long walks, and playing with the other dogs. She also enjoys spending time with people and soaking up all the attention and affection they are willing to give her. Because Delta is an active young girl, she would do best with an active family and a securely fenced yard where she can run, play, and enjoy being a dog. She has so much love and personality to share and is ready to find a family who will continue to help her grow into the wonderful companion she is meant to be. Delta is HW negative!

Jane Female 39 lbs 1-3 YO HW positive Our Little Bookworm! Jane must be a pretty smart girl because Jane was picked up at the local library after this sweet girl wandered inside and decided to do a little exploring! We have no idea what Jane was looking for… maybe a book about finding the perfect family? Unfortunately, Jane’s library adventure landed her at the shelter, and although it was clear she had a family at some point, sadly, no one ever came to claim her. Jane is such a gentle, loving girl. She walks beautifully on a leash and gets along wonderfully with the other dogs. She truly seems to be the kind of girl who would make a wonderful companion and just wants someone to love her. Jane is heartworm positive, so she will need to complete treatment before she can travel to her new home. We are looking at October for her arrive to PA. After all, every good book deserves a happy ending… and Jane’s story is still being written.

Meet Kelsey — A Little Girl Who Has Been Through So Much

Kelsey is a 2–4-year-old female came in weighing just 20 pounds, and she was very underweight. She was picked up by Animal Control on a rural road, and it appears she had been on her own for quite some time. Kelsey was skin and bones and had abrasions on her head and back. We can only imagine what she has been through or how she ended up in this condition. Despite everything, this sweet girl is still happy and friendly with the volunteers. She has worked extremely hard at recovery and has gained some much-needed weight. The good news is that Kelsey is heartworm negative and spayed! Getting Kelsey into the shelter and securing a foster may have saved her life, but now she needs the next step - a home to call her own. She has already fought so hard just to survive. Now she deserves the chance to recover and finally know what it feels like to be safe, loved, and cared for.

Chip Puppy Alert!
This little heart throb is about 7 months old. He's a total sweetheart. Happy, playful, wants all the love and attention he can get. Chip can be a little bit shy at first, but once he warms up, his true puppy self comes to life. He will do best in a home with another playful pup that he can look up to and model behavior. He's about 35 lbs and growing. This little guy needs a chance to live life like he was meant too - a fun, loving pup!

14. Helen
Meet Helen!
Helen is a beautiful 2-3 year-old sweetheart. Not only was Helen on a countdown clock to be euthanized, but we soon learned that she was VERY pregnant. We just could not let her story end there, and we made a last-minute decision to save her and her puppies. Helen arrived safely in PA just one week before giving birth to 12 beautiful puppies in September. Her puppies are almost weened and it's time for Helen to find a home of her own where she can be loved and spoiled.

She currently weighs just 40 pounds after giving birth, and her foster is working having her regain some weight. Unfortunately, she is HW+, but her treatment is already scheduled and fully sponsored by the rescue. After her Heartworm treatment, she will also be spayed. She is up to date on all vaccines.
Her foster family is perfectly content for her to stay with them through treatment and her spay, but, if the perfect home shows up prior, she can certainty move into her forever home and undergo treatment there. The rescue will continue to support her (and her new family) through this process. she's ready to find the loving family she's been waiting for.
Helen is just a gorgeous chocolate brown and as cute as can be! But that is just the beginning. Her personality is where she really shines. She's so sweet and loving! She enjoys taking walks, she's great on the leash, she loves spending time outdoors, and is friendly with both people and the other dogs. She LOVES to be next to her person and give cuddles. She is also crate trained and is perfectly fine being left during the day. They have not observed any type of food aggression or resource guarding. She is not a jumper, so she is safe around kids.
Helen is the whole package and a family will be lucky to have her. She has a gentle, affectionate personality and would love nothing more than a family to call her own. Helen deserves a soft bed, a warm home, and someone to love her forever. She can't wait to find her happily ever after!
