1. Ruby Red

Senior (9 years) · Female · Beagle

Ruby is a tiny girl who came from a rural Georgia shelter with almost no hair and
red skin… thus the name Ruby. Since being with TBBR she has been treated and her hair is
growing back rapidly. She is about 9 years old. Apparently she was a bit of a runner but I have not see that here. Ruby is all love. She is very smart and a tiny bit sassy if you don’t make her breakfast fast enough. She is very sweet and friendly. She is crate trained and doggy door trained. She is great with other dogs. She is not cat tested but she is not aggressive in anyway with adults or dogs so may do well with cats also.

2. Banjo J

Young (7 months) · Male · Beagle

Banjo is a 7-8 month old male Beagle from an owner surrender in Pensacola. He's a playful, sweet, silly puppy. He loves all toys, he is crate trained, dog door trained, and house broken as long as he gets let out especially after playing or waking up. He knows sit and he's learning come here, stay, he is starting to play fetch, and he takes treats gently. He needs more work walking in a leash, he has only chewed on one thing he should not have, he likes water and playing in puddles, he has separation anxiety. He would do best with another playful dog that doesn't mind sharing toys, and an owner who is home often.

Read more about Banjo J

He learns fast and he wants to please and he is happy to be your shadow. He barks when left alone or excited or anxious about going to a new place, but he does well at the dog park playing and only barks upon arrival. He is chocolate and light brown with white "socks" and light eyes. He is about 25-30 pounds. He is very sweet and loves curling up close by and getting pets. He needs consistent training like any puppy, but he has a really good start and he will be a most loved pet for the right person.

3. Cassius

Senior (8 years 2 months) · Male · Beagle

Meet Cassius
Cassius is an 8-year-old boy looking for a special home with someone who understands deaf dogs and is willing to give him the time and patience he needs to build trust.
Because he is deaf and hasn't had much socialization, he can be fearful of unfamiliar people and situations. He needs someone who understands that trust takes time and will allow him to adjust at his own pace.
I don't believe Cassius has had the opportunity to learn that the world can be a safe place, but he's making wonderful progress in foster care.
At first, he wasn't comfortable being touched. Now he lets me pet him and even kiss him on top of his sweet little head.

Read more about Cassius

He's also become my little shadow, following me everywhere I go.
We've also discovered he loves helping with the dishwasher! Every time I open it, there he is. If I turn my back for even a second, he's right up on the door, supervising the entire operation. Apparently, he takes his kitchen duties very seriously!
Cassius also loves food! Whenever I'm eating, he gets so excited that he jumps up and down, hoping I'll share a bite. His personality is really starting to shine through.
He's also making great progress with house training. He knows how to use a doggy door, and in the last 48 hours, he's only had one accident.
Medical Information
Cassius is deaf and heartworm positive. He has completed the oral medication portion of his heartworm treatment and is expected to begin his heartworm injections in approximately one week. He will need continued veterinary care and activity restrictions during treatment and recovery.
The Home Cassius Needs
His ideal adopter will be someone experienced with fearful or reactive dogs who understands that trust takes time. A quiet, predictable home with people who can recognize his body language, avoid startling him, and respect his need for space would be best. Introductions to new people and other animals should be slow and carefully managed.
Cassius has already made tremendous progress, and I believe he will continue to blossom with the right person.
At eight years old, he deserves a home where he can finally feel safe, loved, and understood.

4. Siri

Adult (1 year 1 month) · Female · Beagle / Treeing Walker Coonhound

Don’t let those long, elegant "Bambi" legs fool you—this 2-year-old Kentucky hound mix is lightweight, easy to scoop up, and 100% sweetheart. With a cute little notch on her ear and an endless supply of goofy puppy antics, Siri is sure to steal your heart.

Read more about Siri

Siri is on the timid side initially and will need a patient family who understands she requires a little time to decompress. While she’s cautious around new people and unfamiliar surroundings at first, she warms up quickly once she feels safe! She hasn't mastered her basic commands yet, but her recall is coming along wonderfully when a tasty treat is involved. She is normally very quiet both inside and outside, crate trained with a snack, and does great with house training when she has dog door access and a little supervision.

Leash manners are still a work in progress, though she does noticeably better on solo walks where she can focus without other doggie distractions. Siri loves to zoom, but those long legs have some serious spring—she can clear a 4-foot fence with ease, so a taller fence (at least 5–6 feet) is a must to keep her safe. Once playtime is over, she has a wonderful off switch and curls right up beside you.

Her Dream Home:

A patient, loving family willing to give her time and space to settle in and build confidence.

An active home with kids and/or another playful dog to match her friendly energy once she’s comfortable.

A handler who can step in with gentle redirection—she gets along great with most dogs, but her enthusiasm means she doesn't always know when to tap out of playtime and needs help taking breaks!

A securely fenced yard with a fence higher than 4 feet for safe zoomies.

Someone excited to continue her leash work and basic obedience using positive, treat-based praise.

Siri also has her own crate and dog bed that she will be adopted with to help her on her way.

5. Herby

Adult (4 years) · Male · Coonhound

Meet our big baby boy Herby,

He is a 4-year-old Hound that thinks he is a little puppy

He loves to play in the backyard and likes to take naps on the shaded grass.

Herby has our routine down; he goes to lay down on his doggie bed when we go to the bed room, and in the morning he loves to give kisses to the kids to wake them up

We are working with him on walking on the leash; he gets very excited when he sees other dogs on our path.

Herby is neutered, microchipped, and up to date with his shots.

Our big baby is in diapers because he is still marking the house. It is a lot less now since he got neutered.

6. Angus and Rosie

Adult (7 years) · Beagle

Angus and Rosie are siblings who are looking for a home together. Angus is 7 years old and Rosie is 6 years old.
Meet Angus & Rosie ❤️

Angus and Rosie are a sweet brother-and-sister bonded pair who have spent their entire lives together, and you’ll rarely find one without the other close by. After being owner surrendered, these two are looking for a family who will give them the happy ending they deserve — together.

Read more about Angus and Rosie

They truly are the perfect yin and yang. Rosie is the resident couch potato who believes there is always time for a belly rub. She’s the more vocal of the pair and isn’t afraid to let you know what’s on her mind. Angus is a little more reserved, but what he lacks in words, he makes up for in cuddles. He loves being next to his person — although if you ask Angus, on top of you is even better. ❤️

Both are incredibly sweet and well behaved. They are almost completely potty trained, eat peacefully side by side with no need to separate them at mealtime, and do wonderfully left loose in the home when their humans are away — no crates necessary. They’re also great with other dogs and have been very respectful of nearby bunnies. ❤️

But be prepared for your homecoming! Whether you’ve been gone five minutes or five hours, Angus and Rosie will greet you with enough excitement to convince you that you abandoned them for several years.

Angus does have a history of occasional seizures, but he has not had a known seizure in at least six months and does not currently require seizure medication due to their sporadic occurrence.

Most of all, Angus and Rosie simply love being together and being with their people. They’ve already spent their whole lives side by side, and we would love nothing more than to see them live out the rest of their days that way.

If you’re looking for double the love, double the cuddles, and a perfectly matched pair of best friends, Angus and Rosie may just be your two. ❤️

7. Mabel Joy

Adult (6 years 3 months) · Female · Beagle

Mabel was found in March, dumped, and roaming in a large hunting preserve. She was severely underweight and covered in ticks and fleas. Despite all of that, she was immediately friendly and just wanted love—even while we were pulling ticks off of her. For the first two weeks, she was so afraid of being indoors that she slept in our Florida room and would not come fully inside the house. With time and patience, she has warmed up and is now a total ham.
She is fully vetted:

Up to date on vaccinations
Microchipped
On Simparica Trio for fleas, ticks, and parasites

Read more about Mabel Joy

Personality & Household CompatibilityMabel is affectionate, playful, goofy, and has a classic beagle personality. She has discovered the joy of:

Having her own bed
Sharing human beds with people and other dogsShe loves snuggles, belly rubs, and light play/wrestling. She’s on the clumsy side when she’s excited on the bed, which just adds to her charm.

She currently lives peacefully with:

Multiple dogs
Cats
A ferret
A 9‑year‑old child

She has done well with all of them. She genuinely enjoys other dogs and likes to cuddle and play with canine friends. She’s estimated to be around 6 years old, but still has a good amount of play in her.
Known Challenges & Training NeedsGiven her history, I strongly suspect she was an outdoor dog and likely abused. She has physical scars, and behaviorally she tends to shut down with any negative reinforcement, so she absolutely needs a positive‑reinforcement, beagle‑savvy home.
Areas we are still working on:

Potty training:She’s made progress but isn’t 100% consistent yet. To be fair, we have two senior dogs who use potty pads, which makes things confusing for her. A more straightforward setup and consistent routine should help her continue to improve.
Resource guarding:

Mabel came to us extremely thin and food-insecure. She has gained over 10 pounds since arriving and looks much healthier, but she still guards food and will steal from other dogs if given the chance. She currently eats separately and does best with structured mealtimes. Her guarding has only involved growling and occasional barking—she has never bitten or made contact over resources in my home. She can also guard human attention and bed space a bit, so adopters should be comfortable with management and positive training around this.

Recall: Her nose is all beagle—once she’s on a scent, her recall can suffer. A securely fenced yard is strongly preferred, and off‑leash should be limited to safe, enclosed areas.

Chewing: She is still a chewer and is learning what’s appropriate vs. off‑limits. She does well when supervised with proper chew options and will need ongoing guidance here.

Ears: She has chronically yeasty ears and will need regular at‑home ear care (enzymatic washes and otic cleaner) to keep them comfortable.

Crate & vocalization: Mabel is not great in a crate at this point and is very vocal, as you’d expect from a beagle. She uses her voice outside and will bark at the door when she’s ready to come in. A home that understands beagle volume and doesn’t share walls with sensitive neighbors would be ideal.

Ideal HomeMabel would do best in:

A beagle‑experienced (or hound‑experienced) home
With at least one other dog of similar age and energy level for companionship and play
Ideally, with someone who works from home or is around a good portion of the day
A securely fenced yard, as we are still working on leash manners, and her nose can override her recall

She’s spayed, loving, and absolutely has the makings of an excellent family dog—especially for a family that likes a goofy, cuddly, vocal beagle and is willing to continue her training with patience and positive reinforcement.
Mabel has survived a lot and truly deserves a life that is much better than how it started. Won't you give her a forever home?

8. Duncan Hines

Adult (5 years 4 months) · Male · Hound

Duncan is a gentle male hound who is looking for a patient, loving heart to help him write his next chapter.
Duncan is a sweet, quiet soul who hasn't had the easiest start in life. He is naturally timid and shy, preferring to observe the world from a safe distance. Day by day, he is learning what it means to be a pet and is becoming accustomed to the comforts of home life.
Duncan's timidness makes house training a little difficult at first, He loves to take leash walks, making his daily care easy and enjoyable. He is incredibly friendly with other animals and gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes, making him a great fit for a home with existing calm pets.

Read more about Duncan Hines

Duncan has not been tested with cats but he doesn't seem like he would bother them. He loves having his own quiet space and thrives when curled up on a soft, comfy bed (yours is preferred)
Because the world can still feel a bit overwhelming to him, Duncan needs a quiet household with an adopter who understands that trust takes time. He won't be a dog that rushes to the door to greet strangers but once he knows he is safe, his loyalty is absolute. If you have a calm environment and plenty of love to give, watching this resilient hound blossom into your loyal companion will be the most rewarding journey you will ever take.
