1. Josie
Puppy · Female · Chihuahua / Pug (short coat) · 15 mi from Bristol

Welcome Josie to CCPAL Rescue. Josie is a Chug (Chihuahua/Pug) puppy. She weighs 4 pounds and is 9 weeks old. She will be a small dog full grown. She should be 12 pounds or less. She is very sweet and has an adorable rounded head. She likes to be held, is good in a crate, goes on a wee pad and loves to play with toys. She was born at the Rescue. They took in a stray female and she was pregnant. This means the puppies get lots of attention and are very used to being in a loud and rowdy environment. Josie would be best in a home that the person doesn’t work all day every day. She needs to finish up her puppy training. Social pups make great adults and now is the time for her to spend time with her family and to go places and let people pet her. She is an AMAZING puppy. She would be fine with children. Due to her small size, we would like children to be 8 or older. She is getting her puppy vaccines and will have 3. She will then be ready for spay and adoption. She can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states.

10. Blanca
Adult · Female · Rat Terrier (short coat) · 15 mi from Bristol

Welcome Blanca to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 2 year old Rat Terrier mix. She came in from a hoarding situation. We received 3 dogs from this case. One was adopted already and one had to go to a specialized trainer in another Rescue. Blanca has started opening up and allowing people to pet her and hold her. She never got any attention in her original home, the hoarder. She is good with other dogs and causes no issues. She is kennel trained and her response to being afraid is to run and hide. She is a timid girl and not the social butterfly. She would be perfect with a person that is more introverted and wants a pet that is also similar. Blanca would be satisfied being at home with you all the time. A small walk in the yard would be fine. She until now, has not walked on leash. She is learning to do it at our Rescue. She would like a patient owner and a quieter home. An older couple or older single person would be great. Someone with a quieter home. She would be fine kenneled away if you had a party or people over. She is not very vocal and prefers to blend into the woodwork. She is really a great dog for the right family. He knows “go for a walk”, “stop”, “leave it”, “It’s the neighbor” and a few other commands. He has some allergies to grass. He has taken Apoquel successfully to handle the allergies. He warms up slowly and is very loyal and bonded once he has bonded. He would be great for a senior couple or single wanting a companion. A nice yard for him to get exercise in would be nice or someone that could have the time to take him on a couple of walks would be great. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. He was very workable and stood still and sat willingly on the table for the photo shoot. They are all affectionate and cuddly. They are very playful with their siblings. Johnny is social and would be a great dog to take to the local coffee shop. He loves all people and is call in loud situations. They go on a wee pad but are not fully potty trained. They are good in a crate and are getting regular attention and love at the Rescue. We don’t have the privilege of adopting out many pugs. We are excited to find the pug pups their forever home. We would love pug people for these pups, as they know the breed most. They will be spayed and neutered and ready for their forever home soon. 17. A Sebastien
Young (1 year 5 months) · Male · Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie · 10 mi from Bristol

Sebastien is available for adoption.
He is 18 months old and weighs 10 lbs.
His adoption fee is $900.00.
Hi ! I’m Sebastien I was picked up as a stray by animal control in NJ. There I had two previous adopters. One said I had too much energy and barked too much at his clients. The other had a large pig which they thought would hurt me. It was at that point SAYR pulled from the shelter and transported me to CT. where I’ve been at my foster family for a little over a week.
Read more about A Sebastien
I’m learning a lot and still have more manners to learn: I can be protective of food, and treats. I think I’m figuring it out, I don’t have to worry about getting food regular now. I love treats! Have I mentioned, I have lots of energy? I’m in good shape, very trim and have good teeth.
I love toys, hugs and cuddling. I’m okay with cats, but not gonna lie… when I get bored, I chase her. Foster mom said this is a NO. I’m still learning. I have a foster older brother, another Yorkie. I sometime play very rough, but he corrects me. I can be spicy to new people, but I warm up quick when I realize they won’t hurt me. (He is the sweetest and most playful boy once he feels safe)
Sebastien is staying with Gisele in Waterbury, CT 06710.

He should be small enough to take with you in a doggy sling or bag. He is a fun pup to pet because of his coat. He is full of personality and very good with his litter group. He goes on a wee pad and is good in a crate. He likes all people and is not shy around strangers. Her mom is 15 pounds. Our guess would be 10 to 12 for him. He is not a big shedder. He will make some lucky family a good pet. Anyone who adopts a puppy should not work all day every day because a puppy needs to be with their family and not home alone all day. He needs to finish up his puppy training. He will be a great dog for a social person wanting a matching puppy personality. He would be fine in a smaller condo size yard. He would be fine with other dogs. He can go with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is getting neutered, vaccinated and he will be ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can also use one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. 20. Daisey Mae
Puppy · Female · Chihuahua / Dachshund (short coat) · 15 mi from Bristol

Welcome Daisey Mae to CCPAL Rescue. She came in with her mom Layla. We think her breed is Chiweenie. She is 13-weeks old and she weighs about 5 or 6 pounds. We think full grown would be 25 pounds or less. She is beautiful and looks a lot like her mom. She was fun to take photos of at the photo shoot. She is good in a crate, good with other dogs, playful and sweet. She is smart and trusting of people. She would be great with a family that is moderately active to highly active. She would be best with someone that is not gone all day every day and can spend some time with their puppy to keep her social and to finish up her puppy training.

She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older as older children can be taught to respect and be careful with their dog. She is sturdy and would make a great walking companion. She is social and would be fine taking her out places that have lots of people or a doggy daycare. She is up on her vaccinations and will be spayed soon and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Adult · Female · Fox Terrier / Italian Greyhound (short coat) · 15 mi from Bristol

Welcome Monica to CCPAL Rescue. Monica is a 2 year old Flat Coated Fox Terrier/Italian Greyhound is our best guess. She is a mix of breeds we are sure. She weighs about 15 pounds. She was found on the street big and pregnant. Her pups all look very different. Some are fluffy and some are not. She is a wonderful dog. She doesn’t jump up, is good with other dogs, good in a crate and good on a leash. She is also nice in her kennel and was the very best and most attentive momma. She isn’t very vocal which is wonderful and would make an easy dog to bring into some family. She has weaned her pups and will be spayed soon and ready for her very own forever home.
