1. Maizy meet me

Puppy · Female · Beagle / Rat Terrier / Mixed · 15 mi from New Haven

Maizy is a sweet, fun, silly pup and she's ready for a home of her own. She's currently almost 5 months old, she LOVES people, and she also really loves playing with her litter mates. She is going to be a pleasure to train as she grows up and she's going to be an amazing best friend for her people. If you'd like to add some fun & joy to your life, Maizy is ready to bring it! Her foster mom would love to do a virtual meet so if you think Maizy could be a good fit for your household, we'd love to hear from you. *More pics coming soon! This puppy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative.

Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pups with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event! The adoption fee is $600 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get an automatically generated confirmation email. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

4. Jack meet me

Adult · Male · Chihuahua / Rat Terrier / Mixed · 15 mi from New Haven

Jack is a pint-sized, Very Good Boy and he's ready for a home of his own. He's sweet & friendly, gets along well with other dogs, and is doing a good job going potty outside. He came to CPR recently and is doing very well in foster care. His foster mom was told he was blind in both eyes but he must have some vision as he has been getting around his foster home without any issues since his arrival. As his vision is certainly very limited (or he is blind), whoever is lucky enough to adopt this gem of a pup will need to ensure his safety as he is quite small and whatever vision he may have is impaired.

Jack is a happy, loving, social pup and he is going to be a joy to his new family. He's currently in foster care in CT and available for meets! 8. A Sebastien

Young (1 year 5 months) · Male · Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie · 19 mi from New Haven

Sebastien is available for adoption.

He is 18 months old and weighs 10 lbs.

His adoption fee is $900.00.

Hi ! I’m Sebastien I was picked up as a stray by animal control in NJ. There I had two previous adopters. One said I had too much energy and barked too much at his clients. The other had a large pig which they thought would hurt me. It was at that point SAYR pulled from the shelter and transported me to CT. where I’ve been at my foster family for a little over a week.

Read more about A Sebastien

I’m learning a lot and still have more manners to learn: I can be protective of food, and treats. I think I’m figuring it out, I don’t have to worry about getting food regular now. I love treats! Have I mentioned, I have lots of energy? I’m in good shape, very trim and have good teeth.

I love toys, hugs and cuddling. I’m okay with cats, but not gonna lie… when I get bored, I chase her. Foster mom said this is a NO. I’m still learning. I have a foster older brother, another Yorkie. I sometime play very rough, but he corrects me. I can be spicy to new people, but I warm up quick when I realize they won’t hurt me. (He is the sweetest and most playful boy once he feels safe)

Sebastien is staying with Gisele in Waterbury, CT 06710.
