Right now, Moxie is a very timid puppy. New people, new situations, and unfamiliar things can make her unsure, so we’re spending time helping her build confidence and learn that she doesn’t have to be afraid.

She’s good with other dogs, and having canine friends around gives her opportunities to play, learn, and watch how the more confident dogs navigate the world.

Because Moxie is still young and we’re still getting to know her, there’s plenty we haven’t discovered yet. Her personality is still unfolding, and we suspect there’s a lot more puppy hiding underneath that cautious exterior.

What Moxie needs most is someone who understands that confidence isn’t something you can rush. A patient family willing to encourage her, celebrate the little victories, and give her the time she needs could make an enormous difference in her life.

We are only considering homes in our local area - 1 hour or less from Arcadia FL. If you have adopted from us before and are slightly out of that area, please contact us directly and we can discuss it. Moxie still needs to be spayed. All appointments for spay/neuter surgery will be done at our vet's office in Arcadia so you must be willing to bring him to his appointment in order to be considered for adoption.

Sebastian is a 10-month-old Yorkie/Chihuahua mix weighing just 5.5 pounds, and this tiny guy is everything you’d expect a happy puppy to be.

He’s playful, curious, sweet, and ready to discover what this whole big world is about. At his age, just about everything has the potential to become an adventure, and Sebastian is happy to participate!

Because Sebastian is a brand-new arrival at Canine Castaways, we’re still getting to know him. We haven’t discovered all his favorite things, funny quirks, or exactly what his grown-up personality will be just yet.

What we do know is that he’s a happy little puppy who’s ready to learn, play, love, and grow up with a family of his own.

Like any puppy, Sebastian will need a family prepared for all the work that comes along with raising a youngster, including continued house training, leash skills, basic manners, and plenty of opportunities to learn and socialize.

We are only considering homes in our local area - 1 hour or less from Arcadia FL. If you have adopted from us before and are slightly out of that area, please contact us directly and we can discuss it. Sebastian still needs to be neutered. All appointments for neuter surgery will be done at our vet's office in Arcadia so you must be willing to bring him to his appointment in order to be considered for adoption.

I can tell, Dolly. You're still glowin', you're still crowin', you're still goin' strong. And she is. Thanks to her foster parents' care and compassion. Dolly is gaining ground, gaining weight, and gaining the kind of trust in people that took patience and love to earn. She is becoming more interactive, more affectionate, and more herself with every passing week in her foster home. When she sees her foster parents reaching for her treats, this girl does not just sit politely. She dances. She pushes gently on your leg with all five pounds of her enthusiasm, letting you know in no uncertain terms that she is here, she is happy, and she would very much like that snack now.Dolly is a Chinese Crested Powder Puff, one of the most gloriously unique and tenderhearted breeds you will ever have the privilege of knowing. Soft, cloud-like fur like the popular Maltese breed we tagged her with for her to be more visible in searches. She deeply bonds to her foodie people. Dolly is the kind of dog who fills a room simply by being in it. She is working her way to a healthy seven pounds, and once she reaches that milestone, she will be ready for her spay, her dental care, and the forever home that has been waiting for her all along. So find her an empty lap, fellas. Dolly'll never go away again. We are looking for someone with a quiet, loving home who understands that this little girl has already been through enough, and who is ready to give her all the warmth, gentleness, and treat-fueled dance parties she deserves for the rest of her days.Dolly did not just survive her story. She is dancing her way through it. Now it is time for her to find the lap where she finally, truly stays. This dog's adoption fee is $450 to go towards their vetting (vaccines, spay/neuter, heartworm/Ehrlichia/Lyme test, fecal test, pre-op blood work, dental cleaning, and microchip as well as grooming if needed). If you are interested, please fill out the adoption application. For additional information regarding our adoption process, please check our FAQ's Page. All dogs in the care of Get a Life Pet Rescue live in loving foster homes while waiting for their perfect match. They are never kept in cages or crates unless there is a medical reason, and they are treated as family pets throughout their time with us. Our rescues are fed premium brand holistic wet food diets along with supplements and vitamins tailored to each dog's individual needs. Every dog in our care receives complete quality vetting, including full dental cleaning with pre-op blood work, spay/neuter, vaccines, and grooming. Dogs requiring specialized care are seen by the appropriate specialists, including full cardiac workups, ophthalmologist visits, and biopsy of any suspicious lumps or bumps. Every medical detail is shared transparently with potential adopters. When you adopt from Get a Life Pet Rescue, you become part of our compassionate family, and we are here for you whenever you need us.

But do not let that fool you into thinking she is all nap and no adventure. When her leash comes out, so does her pep, and she walks with the cheerful, purposeful energy of a dog who genuinely enjoys her outings and wants you to enjoy them too. She is the perfect companion for someone who loves a good walk and a little social time.Lula came to us with slightly elevated kidney levels, something we caught early and are already getting ahead of. She does not require a prescription diet, but we have proactively placed her on a thoughtful, natural food regimen with targeted supplements to keep her feeling her absolute best for years to come. We are looking for an adopter who will lovingly continue this routine, because Lula deserves someone who takes her whole health seriously, and she will give back every bit of that care in snuggles and devotion. She does beautifully with calm, gentle dog companions and genuinely thrives when her person is home often. Lula is not looking for a revolving door, she is looking for her person, her place, and her forever soft spot on the sofa. If you are someone who has slowed down just enough to truly appreciate a sweet, soulful little dog who will love you with everything she has, Lula has been waiting for exactly you. This dog's adoption fee is $350 to go toward their vetting (vaccines, spay/neuter, heartworm/Ehrlichia/Lyme test, fecal test, pre-op blood work, dental cleaning, and microchip as well as grooming if needed).
