their mesmerizing eyes, unique coat colors and patterns, they are sure to win an Oscar!
Doc is approximately 12 weeks old and weighs approx. 10lbs. Like any
puppy she is in need of

True to her Aussie heritage Doc does like to herd her people. However, she is smart and takes corrections well so will thrive with a committed family to train her on the "do's and don'ts."

Foster Home Update: Any children in the home should be older. She plays very actively and loves to play "hard" with the other dogs in her foster home. She would love to have another dog in her forever home to wrestle with. Probably one on the younger side as she wrestles hard and I imagine it would be irritating to an older dog. She likes to follow you around the house. Is not found of the crate and does bark in the crate, will settle, however this is when there are other dogs in the same room with her so I do not know how she would be alone. Loves bones and toys!
She would excel in obedience training!

20. Chi-Chi
Chi-Chi was a local stray saved after being placed on the top of a dumpster with no way to get down - how cruel! When he arrived, he weighed only 4.5lbs and he looked it!
Since being in his foster home with good, nutritious food, receiving appropriate vetting exam, he has double his weight and the transformation is heartwarming and makes every rescuer smile with happy tears! (see photos for his glow-up)!!!!!
He is estimated to be 3-4 years old and weighs approximately 9-10lbs and is still filling out to a healthy weight!
Foster Home Update:

He LOVES women and food (understandable!) is good with other dogs in the home (a Shepherd and another foster puppy) and doesn't care about the resident cat either! He is an 'atypical Chi' that gets comfy and accepts adults in the home and those he is familiar with that do not live with him when allowed to warm up on his terms. He does like to be the apple of your eye and will tell the other pets in the home "mine, mine, mine - go away". He is crate trained too! Kids should be older (no toddlers) and Chihuahua personality 'savvy'!

Adoption Procedure APPLICATION The first step to be considered to adopt a dog through Echo Dogs White Shepherd Rescue is to complete an application. The Application can be found at the Adoption drop-down menu on the navigation bar above or by clicking here: Echo Dogs Application Form The application is sent electronically to our processing team, where references are checked. (Yes, we really do call your references!) REFERENCES We will call and speak with references listed on your application. The information provided to us by your references is kept strictly confidential. We believe that we get honest information by assuring references that we will not disclose to anyone the content of our conversations. You should call your references to let them know that they may be contacted by Echo Dogs. Adopting a dog in Bellwood
Most rescues ask you to fill in an application, meet the dog, and pay an adoption fee that usually covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip. Many are foster-based, so you'll often meet your dog in a volunteer's home rather than a shelter.
Senior dogs are often the calmest companions and the slowest to find homes. If you'd like a settled, affectionate dog, ask the rescues about their older residents.
Puppies go quickly, so if you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon. Ask how big they're expected to grow, and plan for plenty of house-training and training in the first few months.
