From the Foster Family: Roscoe Lee recently joined us from Alabama. He is a sweet, playful boy who loves attention. He enjoys being outside playing with other dogs and children. It does take him a little bit and lots of sniffing to get comfortable with other dogs, but once he knows it’s okay, he loves to play. He would do great with a yard and with a family who love doing outdoor activities. Roscoe Lee is crate-trained and will go in when told but does get nervous when left alone for too long. He enjoys being with his foster family and being close to them.
About Me: Hi! My name is Roscoe Lee. I'm a sweet boy who recently traveled all the way from Alabama. I get excited when I am meeting new people and am currently working on not jumping up when I am excited. I love to play outside, go for car rides, and go for walks. I am still learning not to pull on my leash, but I just get too excited by everything around me. I prefer to be around my humans and get nervous when I am left alone for too long. I am looking for someone who will love me and give me all the attention in the world. Could I be the one for you?

If you are looking for a story of incredible resilience wrapped up in a joyful, bob-tailed package,Tankian is your guy! This young pup made the big trek all the way from Mississippi to Minnesota after being found abandoned and living outdoors. While he was initially slow to trust—a gentle reminder of a past that wasn't very kind—Tankian has completely transformed into a sunbeam of pure happiness. He keeps us smiling every day with his goofy enthusiasm, his constant hunt for the ultimate chew toy, and his nearly perfected potty training skills. Tankian absolutely adores having other dog pals to wrestle with, and his unique little tail wiggles at top speed whenever he’s happy (which is almost always!) He is also very respectful of cats and spends his days watching the two in his foster house play. He has left his tough past behind and is completely ready to shower his forever family with unconditional devotion. When he trusts you enough to jump up and lay his head on you your heart will melt.
From Tankian’s Perspective
"Hey! I’m Tankian and I rocking a beautiful multi colored coat, and officially retired from the outdoor rough-ing it life! I traded the Mississippi humidity for Minnesota's four seasons? 10/10 upgrade. I used to be pretty suspicious of people (turns out my early life wasn't great), but once I realized humans come with treats, cozy dog beds, and belly rubs, I was ALL in. My daily routine includes: smiling continuously, practicing my 'almost perfect' house training, searching for high-quality chew toys to inspect, and begging any dog in a five-mile radius to be my new best friend. I’ve got a huge heart, zero grudges, and a world-class bob tail wiggle. So, who’s ready to adopt a reformed southern gentleman with a top-tier smile?"

Read more about Lenni
Lenni is a sweet, gentle girl who just needs a little time to warm up to new people and surroundings. When she first arrives somewhere new, she can be a bit timid and reserved, but give her a few days, a little routine, and some reassurance, and she'll start showing you just how wonderful she is.
We've watched her confidence grow so much in the short time she's been with us. She now happily ventures around the house, enjoys time outside, goes on walks, and greets her favorite people with the happiest little tail wags!
Once she's comfortable, Lenni loves being with her people, chewing on toys, playing outside, going for walks, getting treats, snuggling, and taking cozy naps. She's a pretty low-key girl who enjoys the simple things in life.
She's also incredibly gentle and sweet with our school-aged children. She's been a wonderful houseguest, with no accidents in the house, and does well both on her own and in her crate.
Lenni is still getting comfortable with new people and experiences, so she'll appreciate a family who gives her a little grace and lets her settle in at her own pace. But don't mistake her initial shyness for a dog who takes forever to warm up. Once she has a few days to get her bearings and figure out her new people, her sweet personality really starts to shine.
We're looking for someone who will appreciate this gentle soul and give her the safe, loving home she deserves. In return, you'll get a sweet companion who is happy just being near her people and sharing life's little moments.
Lenni is ready for her fresh start and her forever family!
About Me:
Hi! I'm Lenni! I'm a sweet, gentle girl, and I'm looking for my forever family!
I'm a little shy when I first meet people or find myself somewhere new. I just need a few days to get comfortable, figure out my surroundings, and learn who my people are. But once I settle in, my personality really starts to shine, and you'll see just how happy I am to be part of your family!
I'm also very gentle with school-aged kids! I'm pretty easygoing around the house and I just love to be where the people are chewing on my favorite toy.
I'm not a high-maintenance kind of girl. I don't need much to be happy: just a safe home, a little patience while I get settled, some toys, and people to love.
If you're looking for a loving companion who will happily become your little shadow once she knows she's home, I'm your girl!

Meet Daniela: Future Boss of the House! About Daniela Daniela is the perfect mix of small size, big heart, and a massive personality. She is charming, sassy, and full of pure wiggle-butt enthusiasm! Daniela is happy and safe in her foster home, but she would honestly prefer not to have to compete the resident dogs for attention anymore. She has an endless supply of love and antics to share, along with a relentless dedication to making sure you don't forget about her.

The Wiggle-Butt Welcome: Expect a full-body wag every time you walk through the door, or really anytime Daniela hasn't seen you for longer than 10 seconds. Her enthusiasm for her humans is absolutely unmatched! Snack Time Focus: When it's snack time, Daniela gives her full attention to a good chew toy or a peanut butter Kong. The Sweet Snoozer: Once she has had enough activity and attention, she will snooze and snore anywhere that is cozy. She will gladly go into her kennel, as long as it is comfy and comes with a treat. Training & Home Manners Daniela has been working hard on her manners in her foster home. She thrives on routine, positive reinforcement, and structure (mostly to remind her that you actually own the house). Accidents in the house have never been an issue—Daniela is far too much of a Queen to violate that particular code. The Ideal Home Daniela would do wonderfully in a home that wants a dog with a big personality to be the absolute center of their world. She’s looking for a family that will continue to guide her with love, keep her active, and doesn't mind being affectionately bullied into on-demand playing and petting. This little girl's family moved and instead of taking her with them, she was surrendered to a local vet clinic. We were contacted to help her and how could we say no?!? Lovebug is approximately 10 weeks old and has had her first round of puppy vetting. She arrived at her foster home on 6/28 and she very quickly won everyone's hearts. She is super smart, not afraid of anything and full of puppy energy! She does great in the crate overnight and loves to spend her day playing with everyone and everything....she LOVES toys. We are working on getting her in for her second round of puppy vetting then she will be ready to find her furver home.

20. Alfa SENIOR
Adult (7 years 6 months) · Female · Boxer (short coat) · 35 mi from Kilkenny

This beautiful girl was surrendered to an Indiana shelter when her family brought a new dog into the home that she just did not want to share her space with. She did not do well at the shelter at all and was completely shutdown and lost 10 pounds while in there. We are so thankful to our shelter contact and to everyone who stepped up to get this precious girl to us. Alfa is the SWEETEST and is very generous with her kisses for all. She arrived at her Minnesota foster home a few days ago and she is doing well with figuring out her new place. Alfa tested well with other dogs at the shelter, however, prefers to be the only dog in the home.

She is good with kids and good with cats. Alfa is housebroken. 7/20 UPDATE...Alfa is just the happiest girl ever. She loves toys and is great with kids. Her perfect home would have a fenced in yard or area for her to explore and trot around in. Our girl prefers to be the only dog in the home.7/27 UPDATE Alfa's foster mom & dad needed some help with her while they are out of town so her Boxersitter sent this............."Alfa is wonderful!!! Honestly if I was looking to adopt a dog, I would want it to be her. Unfortunately that's not in my near future but I'm having a great time watching her. She settled in just fine, like she's lived here forever. She really is great. She's active. Loves to run around the backyard. Eats good, sleeps good, loves to cuddle, potty trained. I hope she finds the perfect home because she deserves it! She loves kids too. No issues with loud noises or food/toy guarding. She doesn't care for being crated and has been left to free roam in the house for 4.5 hours (so far) with no issues. Alfa is wonderful with kids. She LOVES running around outside in our fenced-in area. She is a playful, bouncy, happy girl!"

How to adopt from Rejection Collection Boxer Rescue
All potential adopters must complete an adoption application which includes veterinary records for any current or past pets; adopters go through an interview process and a home visit. Once those steps are approved, the potential adopter can meet available dogs that fit the criteria and are a good match between family, home, and dog. An adoption contract is signed with the stipulation that RCBR can do a follow up visit and remove the dog from the home if any part of the contract is breached. Dogs can only be adopted once spay/neuter or other medical conditions requiring treatment are completed. An additional training contract is signed for any dog needing further training. If the adoptive family cannot keep the dog for the long term, the dog must be returned to RCBR. RCBR must be notified if family is planning to euthanize dog due to illness and/or old age or unknown behavior issues and can then elect to take back the dog.

Adopting a dog in Kilkenny
Most rescues ask you to fill in an application, meet the dog, and pay an adoption fee that usually covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip. Many are foster-based, so you'll often meet your dog in a volunteer's home rather than a shelter.
Senior dogs are often the calmest companions and the slowest to find homes. If you'd like a settled, affectionate dog, ask the rescues about their older residents.
Puppies go quickly, so if you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon. Ask how big they're expected to grow, and plan for plenty of house-training and training in the first few months.
