Angel is a gentle, sweet, easygoing girl with so much love to give. Despite a difficult start marked by neglect and starvation, she still greets people with an open heart. She’s spayed, gaining weight, learning new things, and enjoying time with her pack of friends.

Through everything she endured, Angel was a loving mama. Sadly, only one of her puppies survived. Her little one, Peanut Butter, is also looking for a forever home.

MEET MILO! ❤️ Looking for His Forever Home! ❤️Meet Milo, an approximately 1-year-old male pup with a wonderful, goofy personality and so much love to give!Milo was found at an apartment complex by some caring residents who wanted to help him. Sadly, Milo had been struggling to survive on his own and ended up needing surgery to remove a blockage after eating things he found along the way.Thankfully, Milo is now recovering in his foster home! He’s currently on crate rest while he heals, but being stuck resting is not his idea of fun. This playful boy would much rather be out running around and playing with the other dogs in his foster home!Milo has been through a lot in his young life, and now he deserves a family who will give him the love, safety, and happiness he’s always deserved.

Cinnamon is an energetic, playful, and social gal! She loves to play with ropes and tire toys, and is great in her kennel at night. She's also doing really well on her house manners/training. Bambi is a sweet, gentle girl who adores the women in her life. She is very uncomfortable around men and would be ideal for a single woman or an all-female household, with no men visiting often. Calm kids 12 and up are probably fine.

Hi, I'm Lumen! I've had a rough life, but thankfully these nice people rescued me. The first time I was here a few years ago I came from a big rescue with several other dogs. I was covered in mange and therefore why I have some bald patches and scarring on my face and body.Through no fault of my own I'm back at the shelter again, but I haven't let that dim my spirit at all! Money is a true survivor who has already overcome more than any dog should have to. He was confiscated from a property after being abandoned, and we later learned that before he was left behind, Money had been hit by a car. His front leg was so severely mangled that it could not be saved, and he ultimately had to undergo an amputation. But losing a leg certainly hasn’t slowed Money down! This sweet boy is house-trained, crate-trained, and dog-friendly. He has adjusted incredibly well to life on three legs and is ready to put his difficult past behind him. Jade was found living in the woods of rural Newton County with a group of dogs, likely her littermates. After months of looking out for herself and her pack, she's figured out how to survive. Now she needs someone to teach her how to be a house dog.

Jade lives with a large pack currently and generally gets along with most dogs, though she can be bossy and pushy with some, especially other females. She's also vocal and will bark to announce strangers, but she listens and backs off when she's corrected. A meet-and-greet with any resident dogs is required, and she'll do best with someone who can give her consistent structure.

Hi, I’m Buckeye! I’m a 3½-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix, and at around 40 lbs, I’m the perfect size for just about anything. I can be a little shy when I first meet new people, but the nice folks here are helping me learn that new friends can be pretty great. Honestly, it doesn’t take me long to warm up—especially if you have treats! Once I get to know you, I’m all in. I’ll stick to you like glue and happily accept hugs, kisses, and any opportunity to be close to my people. I’m an active guy (it’s the Cattle Dog in me!) and I love to play, but I also know how to settle down and enjoy some quality cuddle time.

Joker and Jedi are two brothers, estimated to be around 2 years old, who have been through more together than any dogs should have to endure. They were abandoned and left to survive on their own, relying on each other every step of the way. We believe Joker was even hit by a car during that time—but through it all, these two brothers never left each other’s side.
Today, their story looks very different. Safe at the rescue, Joker and Jedi have shown us just how incredible they are. Despite everything they’ve experienced, they are outgoing, loving, and full of joy. In fact, their friendly personalities are so wonderful that they now help us socialize other dogs and show them that people—and life—can be pretty great.
These brothers love spending time outside exploring and enjoying the day, but with all that fur, they know when it’s time to head inside! Once the temperatures rise, you’ll find them happily stretched out in the air conditioning, relaxing with their favorite humans.
Joker and Jedi are the definition of resilience. They survived together, healed together, and now they’re ready for the best chapter of their story—a life filled with love, comfort, and a family of their own.

Hi there! I'm Cheech and I am a 4 year old Lab/Bully mix. I was at the city pound for almost a whole year with no luck at finding my forever home. I was brought to PCHS in hopes of getting a better chance of being adopted. I'm a sweet boy and just need someone to teach me some manners. I'm highly food and treat motivated and have already got sit down pat, so I'm excited to know of all the other things I can learn! I seem to do okay with other dogs but would need a proper introduction to be safe. Cats on the other hand seem a little too interesting so I'd be best to go to a home without kitty friends.
