Lyra is a fun little pup that did great with other pups at the shelter, may be ok with cats (all cat/dog relationships are different), and is a social butterfly! Lyra is a sweet, excited young girl with a big heart and an even bigger desire to please! She can be a little anxious in new situations, and often looks to her handler for reassurance, wanting to stay close and know she’s doing well. Even with all her puppy-ness, Lyra is eager to learn and loves being praised. She absolutely adores plush toys and will happily carry them around or run joyful laps outside. Nutella is approx. 13 months old (approx. DOB 5-22-25), female, 34 lbs., initial vetting done, spayed or will be, and microchipped! This cute little munchkin went overlooked in the shelter and has passed by day after day since May. Is it because she's black?? We think she is beautiful, inside and out!

Tella was found on a busy highway, alone and confused. She is a gentle, quiet girl who may be a little shy at first, but her sweet personality shines through with patience and kindness. She gets along with other dogs, maybe cats (all cat/dog relationships are different), enjoys leisurely walks, taking in all the sights and smells, and she's highly motivated by tasty treats—especially cheese and hot dogs! Tella prefers a calm lifestyle over toys and playtime, and she responds wonderfully to sweet talk and gentle encouragement. Apollo is 4 years old (approx. DOB tbd), 52 lbs., male, vetted, and is or will be neutered! Apollo's human dad was deployed and couldn't find him a home in SC, so he had to bring him to the overcrowded shelter. We cannot imagine the worry and devastation his dad must have felt leaving him there. We greatly appreciate our service members (and military dogs), so we wanted to make sure Apollo was saved! He previously lived with other dogs (big and small), cats, and even young kids! A dog that is dog, cat, and kid friendly!

Mossby is 2 years old, male (approx. DOB 4-20-24), 40 lbs., vetted, and is or will be neutered! Mossby's SC foster says Mossby has been doing great. He is super dog-friendly and gets along with every dog he meets; he is very good at matching their energy and even staying out of their way if they show that they don’t want to play with him. Mossby does great in car rides and is super good in his crate. His crate seems to be his safe space; he sleeps so well in there. Mossby likes lying on his back with his feet in the air when he sleeps! He is doing well with his potty training and learning to walk on a leash. He can get nervous meeting new people. Bongo is 3 years old, male (approx. DOB 4-20-24), 60 lbs., vetted, and is or will be neutered! Looking for an easygoing best friend with a goofy personality? In his current dynamic, Bongo might be your perfect match! Bongo is the total package! He is great in the car, dog-tested, kid-tested, and cat-tested. He is fully house-trained and will sleep silently in his crate all night long. His favorite hobby is giving kisses to his foster cat siblings, and he’ll happily spend his day loving on everyone he meets. This sweet boy does have one learning curve: slippery hardwood floors. Give this king a carpet or rug, and he’ll confidently follow you from room to room like your loyal shadow. Bongo enjoys playing with toys and following his foster siblings around, but if given the choice, he’d much rather claim a comfy spot on the couch and nap the day away. When you first meet him, he may seem a little shy or reserved, but don’t let that fool you. Raksha is approx. 2 1/2 years old (approx. DOB 12-17-23), female, 35 lbs., initial vetting done, spayed, and microchipped. Raksha is a mama; we LOVE our mama dogs! She was rescued from the bushes in Aruba with her newborns, who were only a day or two old when they came to the shelter. She's been a great mom, and now it's her turn! Raksha has a balanced low-medium energy, is good with other dogs, maybe cats, but fun to chase (all cat/dog relationships take time and are different), is a social butterfly that loves the outdoors, and did we mention she is a great model for the camera?
