How handsome is Brodie. He has such great coloring and his eyes are beautiful. He has short hair and long legs for a beagle mix. Brodie is about 2 yrs old and 30 lbs. Brodie is doing good on a leash when he goes for walks. He will pull in the beginning but settles quick and enjoys the rest of the walk. Brodie is a people dog and loves to be with people and given any chance he can get, he will get in your lap to watch tv and just relax. He does love outside time too where he can run and play fetch in the yard. He is very good, he will even bring the ball back to you. Brodie has been around several different dogs of all sizes.

Miss Jolene is all ready to find a place to call home! She is up to a healthy weight and her skin infection is all healed up! Jolene is about 2-3 years old and a beautiful brindle with the coolest markings. Jolene enjoys being with her people - she would love a lap to lay across or someone to take her for casual walks so she can sniff the ground. Jolene has done great with the female dog in her foster home after a proper shutdown. Her preference would be a laid back dog should she have to share space with another 4 legged friend. Jolene went from a dog starving on the streets of Philly, to a dog enjoying the warmth of a home. We are still working on her housebreaking as she occasionally still has accidents in her crate. Now that her body is properly processing her food, she is able to hold it longer. Jolene will be spayed next week and is up to date on vaccines.

Krypto came to us from ACCT Philly a few weeks ago after being diagnosed with pneumonia as a result of the respiratory infection circulating through the shelter. Thankfully, he's on the mend and ready to start enjoying the good things in life!

Hi! My name is Rollo and I am looking for a forever home! I was picked up as a stray by animal control and taken to a scary place called a shelter where, after no one came to claim me, I was about to be put on something bad called “the list.” Fortunately for me, BCAA saw me and said they would help me… yeah! I appear to be a Standard Poodle mix— but whatever I am, my foster mom thinks I’m one handsome dude! I had to be shaved down when I first arrived because my coat was in quite a hot mess, but just wait until all that fluffy hair grows back and it's already started.I’m a little over 50 pounds and about 18 months old.

Beau is a handsome 1-year-old Lab mix weighing about 55 pounds, although he’s a little on the skinny side and is working toward his goal weight of around 60 pounds. We think he may have some Hound or even Great Dane mixed in — and those long legs, slender build, and gorgeous floppy ears certainly make us wonder! Beau has the most beautiful jet-black coat and an even more beautiful personality. This boy has never met a stranger! He absolutely loves people and is always ready for pets, attention, and plenty of love. He’s great with kids, although because he doesn’t realize he’s a big boy and not a lap dog, he may be a little too much for very small children.Beau is wonderful with other dogs 30 pounds and up.

Oliver is a cute little guy weighing in at just 14 pounds and estimated to be around 6 years old. This sweet boy has already been through a heartbreaking change. His dad passed away, and sadly his mom was not able to keep him. Oliver was left without a home. Now he’s hoping to find someone who will make sure he never has to wonder where he belongs again. He becomes very attached to people quick so a home where someone is around more often would be perfect for him. Oliver is happiest when he’s with his people. He’s a total couch companion who would love nothing more than to curl up beside you and hang out for the day.

Luna is a 3-year-old, 25-pound petite chunky girl with the most adorable little face! We can definitely see some Frenchie or Boston Terrier in that sweet face, but her breed mix is unknown. Luna is such a little love bug! She absolutely loves to snuggle and will happily be your little shadow. More than anything, she just wants to be close to her people and soak up all the love she can get. She does well with other dogs and is happy to have some furry friends around. She also LOVES being outside and is enjoying getting out and exploring. She is still working on her leash skills and needs some help with potty training, so her forever family will need to be patient and continue helping her learn.Luna is a sweet, affectionate girl who is ready to leave her past behind and find the people who will love her as much as she loves them.

Meet Sheba! This sweet Beagle mix is about 2 years old and weighs around 33 pounds. And after almost two months in her foster home, we are so happy to say that Sheba has completely blossomed! When Sheba first came to us after spending more than a year in a shelter, she was incredibly scared and shut down. But with patience, love, and the safety of a foster home, she has discovered that life can actually be pretty wonderful. And now we’re getting to see the playful, affectionate, silly girl who was hiding underneath all that fear. Sheba is fully house trained and fully crate trained, and she is an incredibly well-behaved girl inside the house.

Meet Cody!! This 30-pound lovable fellow is about 6 months old and is a sweet mix of heeler and maybe a sprinkling of beagle. He keeps himself busy--inside, following the Swiffer is a very popular activity; outside, collecting sticks is a must-do. He loves playing with the resident dogs and exploring the fenced-in yard--after all, leaves are just asking to be pounced on and plants that haven't been cut back yet are perfect places for afternoon naps. He enjoys his walks around the neighborhood and seeing birds of all sizes adds to the fun. He loves snuggling on a favorite lounge chair--as long as a foster family member provides a warm lap and blanket--plus the gentle rocking brings the final dose of comfy and eyes closed.

Golden Freddy is a 10-month-old mix of Golden Retriever and Great Pyrenees. He presently weighs 35 pounds and will mature to about 50 pounds. Smiley is a 3-year-old Chihuahua mix weighing only 7 pounds. She came to us from a hoarding situation and is shy at first when she meets you. With a little time, though, she’ll continue to open up more as she has done here with us. Smiley gets along well with other dogs and enjoys being outside. Even more, she loves dog beds.
