Billy is a male mixed breed. He is sweet and goofy. Loves to have pets and give kisses.
2. Leonardo
Leonardo is a male Shiba Inu mixed breed puppy. He is a voiceterous and energetic pup. He has loads of energy and loves to run and play. He loves to follow you around and is eager to please his people. He is a loving boy who is also good with children.
Leonardo is leash trained and loves to go on walks.
3. Otto
Otto is a male Havanese. He is shy and nervous but working hard on coming out of his shell.
Otto is still working on his leash skills, so a fenced in yard is required.
4. Wilma
Wilma is a female Havanese. She is shy and nervous around people. Wilma however really opens up around her doggy friends.
Wilma is working on her leash skills, so a fenced in yard is required.
5. Pebbles
Pebbles is the cutest, sweetest, gentle little girl. Smaller and cuter than she appears in photos. She is only 3 years old, under 40 lbs, and has not had a great life. Bred several times (probably not on purpose) and not well cared for, this happy, silly girl is a love, once she comes out of her shell (takes a day or so). A touch timid with new people, but then super playful, affectionate, and a bit goofy, once she knows you. She should have a fenced yard (or experienced people), since she is a touch skittish in new situations, and on leash. Good with dogs and cats. Pebbles truly is a happy, silly girl, who just wants to be with her person/people. A must meet, for again, so much cuter and smaller in person and she will steal your heart, for sure.

All of our dogs do well with other dogs and many do well with cats. Adoption donations vary with age, breed, vetting, and training of the dog, and range from $250 to $695 (most being $595). 6. Molly
Molly is the cutest little thing. Just a sweet, mini-cattle dog. She is only about 1.5 years old and 22 lbs of an adorable and playful little herder. Molly is super friendly and social and good with dogs, and cats (but with cats, she needs correction from time to time). She is truly such a good little girl and so easy to work with and train, and such a happy, bouncy, fun, companion dog, although a touch timid at times, with some new people. BUT, she is a cattle dog and needs folks who understand what this means, so she can get the home she will thrive in. Way smaller than she apears in the photos and SO adorable! Knowing this type of breed is a must, for her to get what she needs, and so folks understand what a little dog like this is all about.

7. Ralphie
Ralphie is a goofy, silly, playful, affectionate pup. He is only about 1 year old and about 43 lbs. He is smart and easy to work with, but a fenced yard and continued training would make him even better than he is now. He is affectionate and loves to play with other dogs. could be trained around cats, but would need an experienced person to guide him. Ralph is good in any situation and truly just a wonderfull, hypoallergenic buddy. A must meet, for this boy is so much cuter than the photos show. Great active (not hyper) companion. Guessing at his breeds, but this is what he looks like to us.

8. Suki
Suki is a magnificent and wonderful long haired GSD. She is athletic, but not hyper, and very smart. Eager to please. Suki is only about 1 year old and 48 lbs of beautiful. She is good with dogs and we can cat test. Shepard experience is important, so she can continue to train, and become the best dog she is meant to be. A fenced yard is important. Good with everyone she meets. She is stunning and incredible - just a rare gem. Truly a wonderful young gal, in need of her forever home.

9. Hank
Hank is the best boy! He was found wondering the streets, either left behind, or lost, but no one showed up at the shelter to claim him. He is so friendly and affectionate and gentle. We believe him to be only about 3 years old and a lean, 70 lbs at this time. He could use a good grooming, but all in all, is jsut an incredible family dog, for folks who like the bigger breeds. Hank is good with everyone he meets and with dogs - we can cat test. SO handsome in person. A must meet, for this great dog will steal your heart, for sure. 10. Harry
Harry is the cutest guy, and super sweet and silly. His owner got sick, so he ended up at the shelter. His coat was a mess and his hair was almost glued over his eyes, but he is a lot better now and on his way to a beautiful coat (will take several more months of good nutrition). He has clearly been fed junk and not cared for very well for a long time. He has a little vision and hearling loss, but gets around fine and will follow us everywhere. He is a diamond in the rough, for sure. Harry is 7 to 9 years old and 17 lbs of affection. Harry is so gentle and loves being in the yard or going for a walk, and would do best if not alone all day without his humans. He does not shed and loves being with his person/people. Not an ounce of agression, but we prefer no very young kids who are not super experienced with smaller dogs. He is good in most any situation and good with dogs, and cats. A must meet, for this adorable little hypoallergenic boy is just the best. So much cuter than these photos. Sweater photos show him with his face groomed up a bit. Harry will steal your heart, for sure.

Max is the sweetest boy you could ever ask for. He is gentle and so affectionate. Max is great in any situations with people and dogs, and cats. 12. Timothy
Timothy is the best, especially considering the terrible situation he came out of. Left in a filthy trailer with over 20 other dogs, this poor guy did not have a great start. Yet he is so friendly and social and affectionate. He walks as if he is high stepping, and could use some weight, but other than that, he is playful and a real velcro sweetheart. This great little guy is about 7 or 8 years old, and about 20 lbs. Just a wonderful little companion for anyone! A must meet, for he is so cute in person.

15. A Dean Martin
Dean Martin is available for adoption.
He is 5 years old and weighs 9 pounds.
His adoption fee is $650.00.
Introducing Dean Martin or Dino as we call him! He’s a 9 pound Yorkie we guess is between five and seven years old. He’s very curious and playful. He likes to play fetch, tug-of-war, and enjoys a good brisk walk through the neighborhood. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys a good snuggle on the couch with his human. He’s all up-to-date on his shots, has been neutered and is ready for adoption. He is very new to our rescue so we will update his bio as we get to know him a little better.

Camp Papillon Adoption Process & Policy The goal of Camp Papillon is to place our companion animals in lifetime, loving homes. Every home and every companion animal has it 's own unique personality and requirements. We place our animals in the supportive and loving environment of home foster care. While there, we gain knowledge about their personality, training skills, likes and dislikes. To assist us with matching the correct companion animal with the most appropriate and compatible home, please email us the answers to the below questions and any other information you think would be helpful. The emailed information may be followed-up by a Camp Papillon Adoption Coordinator, with a phone interview and then a home check. Adoption contract and post adoption follow-up checks are required as a condition of adoption. Some companion animals get multiple applicants or are not appropriate matches, so not all adoptions will be approved. Not all applicants will receive a yes or no response due to limited staff. We reserve the right to refuse any adoption without justification. Our Adoption Costs Dogs: $250 Puppies:$300 Puppies $50 Refund after proof of spay/neuter Cats: $75 Kittens: $100 Kittens $25 Refund after proof of spay / neuter Rabbits, Ferrets, etc: $25 Why the high cost? Adopting a dog in Mount Pocono
Most rescues ask you to fill in an application, meet the dog, and pay an adoption fee that usually covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip. Many are foster-based, so you'll often meet your dog in a volunteer's home rather than a shelter.
Senior dogs are often the calmest companions and the slowest to find homes. If you'd like a settled, affectionate dog, ask the rescues about their older residents.
Puppies go quickly, so if you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon. Ask how big they're expected to grow, and plan for plenty of house-training and training in the first few months.
