❤️ Personality & Breed Information
Meet Sombra, a beautiful 7-year-old Dachshund Terrier mix weighing just 16 pounds! This lovely little lady is searching for a forever family who will give her the comfort, companionship, and stability she deserves.
Read more about Sombra
At seven years old, Sombra has moved beyond the demanding puppy stages, making her a wonderful candidate for someone interested in adopting an adult dog. Her individual personality is still being evaluated, but she has the opportunity to build a loving bond with a family who will give her time to settle in.
About the Dachshund Terrier Mix
Dachshunds and Terriers are known for their intelligence, determination, loyalty, and curious personalities. Originally bred as working dogs, both breeds can have strong instincts to explore, investigate interesting scents, and engage with their surroundings.
As a Dachshund Terrier mix, Sombra may display some of these characteristics:
Loyal and Affectionate: Many develop strong attachments to their families.
Intelligent and Curious: They often enjoy exploring, scent games, and interactive activities.
Independent: Their determined personalities benefit from patient, consistent guidance.
Playful: Even mature adults may enjoy toys, games, and daily adventures.
Alert: They can be observant and attentive to their surroundings.
Because Sombra is a mixed breed, her individual temperament and energy level may vary from these general characteristics.
At 16 pounds, Sombra is a manageable size for many households. Her ideal home will provide appropriate exercise, companionship, and a comfortable environment where she can feel secure.
Training, Adjustment & What to Expect
Although Sombra is seven years old, adopters should not assume she is fully house-trained or familiar with household routines. Rescue dogs may arrive with basic training at best.
Her future family should be prepared to reinforce house training, leash manners, basic commands, and appropriate household behavior using positive reinforcement.
Dachshund Terrier mixes often benefit from daily walks, scent-based activities, and mental enrichment. Exercise should be adjusted to Sombra's individual energy level and physical condition.
Sombra is considered suitable for homes with dogs and children, with proper introductions and supervision. Her compatibility with cats is unknown.
Understanding the 3-3-3 Rule
Every rescue dog needs time to adjust:
3 Days: Decompress and begin feeling safe.
3 Weeks: Learn household routines and build confidence.
3 Months: Develop trust and become more comfortable in the family.
These are guidelines, not deadlines. Patience, consistency, and a predictable routine will help Sombra settle into her new home.
Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care
Sombra's current spay and vaccination status have not been confirmed. Her adopter should review her medical records and arrange any necessary follow-up care.
Dachshund Terrier Health Considerations
Because of her breed mix and age, Sombra's future family should be aware of several potential health considerations:
Back and Spinal Health: Dachshunds are predisposed to intervertebral disc disease (IVDD). If Sombra has inherited a longer back, limiting repetitive jumping and maintaining a healthy weight may help protect her spine.
Joint Health: Smaller dogs may develop kneecap instability or age-related joint discomfort.
Dental Care: Regular tooth brushing and veterinary dental examinations are important.
Weight Management: Maintaining a healthy body condition supports mobility and overall health.
Age-Appropriate Care: As Sombra gets older, regular wellness examinations can help

Dickey is a happy, playful dog who enjoys having fun and would love to share life's adventures with his favorite people. Whether it's spending time outdoors, enjoying interactive games, or exploring new places, this handsome boy has the potential to make a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle.
At just over a year old, Dickey is still a young dog with plenty of enthusiasm. He's past the earliest stages of puppyhood but still has lots of growing, learning, and maturing ahead of him.
About the Weimaraner Breed
Weimaraners are known for their intelligence, athleticism, loyalty, affectionate personalities, and high energy levels. Originally developed in Germany as hunting companions, these beautiful dogs were bred for endurance, agility, and working closely with their handlers.
They are sometimes affectionately called "Gray Ghosts" because of their distinctive silver-gray coats and elegant appearance.
As a Weimaraner, Dickey may display several typical breed characteristics:
Energetic and athletic: Weimaraners often enjoy long walks, outdoor adventures, interactive games, and activities that keep them physically engaged.
Intelligent and eager to learn: They generally benefit from consistent training, positive reinforcement, and mental challenges.
Loyal and people-oriented: Many form strong attachments to their families and enjoy being included in daily activities.
Playful and enthusiastic: Their fun-loving personalities can make them entertaining companions.
Sensitive and affectionate: Weimaraners often respond best to gentle guidance, encouragement, and a predictable routine.
Naturally curious: Their hunting background can contribute to strong scent-tracking and chasing instincts.
Because Weimaraners are active sporting dogs, Dickey's ideal family should be prepared to provide daily exercise, mental enrichment, consistent training, and plenty of companionship.
At 70 pounds, Dickey is a substantial dog who will need a family comfortable handling his size and energy level.
He would be especially well suited to an active household that enjoys spending time outdoors and wants a canine companion to share in life's adventures.
Dickey has the happiness, playfulness, and enthusiasm to bring so much joy into the right home. All he needs is a family ready to embrace his wonderful personality!
Training, Adjustment & What to Expect
At approximately 1½ years old, Dickey is a young adult who will continue benefiting from training, structure, and positive experiences as he matures.
Rescue dogs may arrive with basic training at best, so adopters should be prepared to continue working on leash manners, basic obedience, recall, household boundaries, calm greetings, appropriate play, and positive socialization.
Because Dickey is a large, playful dog, establishing good manners will be particularly important.
His future family should focus on teaching him to walk politely on a leash, avoid jumping on people, respond reliably to basic commands, and manage excitement appropriately.
Weimaraners are intelligent dogs that often thrive when they have opportunities to learn and participate in activities with their

Read more about Faucet
Faucet has a wonderful combination of affection and adventurous spirit. He's the kind of puppy who would love having a family to share new experiences with, whether that's heading out for a walk, exploring a nature trail, playing in the yard, or simply spending quality time together.
Bully mixes are often known for being affectionate, playful, loyal, people-oriented, and enthusiastic companions. Many enjoy being included in family activities and develop strong bonds with the people who care for them.
As a Bully mix, Faucet may develop some of these wonderful characteristics as he matures. At just five months old, he's still growing and learning, so his future family should be prepared to guide him through puppyhood and into adulthood.
Because Faucet enjoys outdoor activities, he would benefit from a family that can provide age-appropriate exercise, regular walks, interactive playtime, mental enrichment, positive socialization, and plenty of affection.
His exact adult size cannot yet be determined, but his adopter should be prepared for the possibility of a medium-to-large adult dog.
Most importantly, Faucet needs a family who will appreciate his sweet nature, encourage his curiosity, and give him a lifetime of love and adventure.
Training, Adjustment & What to Expect
At only five months old, Faucet is still learning about the world. His future family should be prepared for the normal responsibilities of raising a young puppy.
Rescue dogs may arrive with basic training at best, so adopters should be ready to continue working on potty training, crate training if desired, leash walking, basic commands, recall, appropriate chewing, calm greetings, household boundaries, and positive socialization.
Because Faucet enjoys exploring the outdoors, developing good leash manners and reliable recall will be especially important. His family should provide safe, supervised opportunities to explore while teaching him how to navigate new environments calmly and confidently.
Bully mixes can be strong, enthusiastic dogs as they mature, so positive reinforcement, patience, consistency, and clear boundaries will help Faucet develop good manners from an early age.
Short, enjoyable training sessions and a predictable daily routine will help strengthen his bond with his new family.
His adopter should also understand that puppies require supervision, structure, and time. Accidents, chewing, teething, and occasional mischief are all normal parts of puppyhood.

Because he is only five months old, his adopter should review his medical records with a veterinarian to determine whether he needs additional puppy vaccine boosters, deworming, flea and parasite prevention, microchipping, or other preventive care.
If Faucet has not yet been neutered, his future family should discuss age-appropriate neutering with a veterinarian.

Whether it's relaxing on the couch, following their favorite person around the house, or enjoying a little playtime, Pugs often make wonderful companions.

Breathing & Heat Sensitivity: Pugs are brachycephalic, meaning their short facial structure can make breathing and temperature regulation more difficult. Dizirella should be kept cool, especially during warm weather, and should never be pushed into strenuous exercise. A veterinarian should assess her breathing and discuss any concerns.
Healthy Weight: Maintaining a healthy body weight is particularly important for Pugs because excess weight can increase breathing difficulties and put additional strain on their joints.
Skin, Eyes & Dental Care: Pugs may require additional attention to facial folds, eye health, and dental hygiene. Regular veterinary examinations can help identify and manage potential concerns.

At five months old, Cinderella is still very much a puppy, with plenty of growing, learning, and discovering ahead of her. She's at an exciting stage where every day experiences can help shape her confidence, manners, and relationship with the people around her.
Terrier mixes are often known for being intelligent, curious, lively, playful, and full of personality. They may be small in size, but they often have big personalities and plenty of enthusiasm for life. As a Terrier mix, Cinderella may develop some of these wonderful characteristics as she matures.
She would benefit from a family that enjoys spending time with their dog and is prepared to provide daily playtime, age-appropriate exercise, positive socialization, mental enrichment, and plenty of affection.
Because Cinderella is still growing, her adult size cannot yet be determined from her current weight alone.
With patience, consistency, and love, this little girl has the opportunity to grow into a wonderful lifelong companion.
Training, Adjustment & What to Expect
At only five months old, Cinderella is still learning about the world. Her future family should be prepared for the normal responsibilities of raising a puppy.
Rescue dogs may arrive with basic training at best, so adopters should be ready to continue working on potty training, crate training if desired, leash walking, basic commands, recall, appropriate chewing, household boundaries, and positive socialization.
Terriers can be clever, curious, and independent thinkers, so positive reinforcement, patience, repetition, and consistent routines will be especially valuable. Short, enjoyable training sessions can help Cinderella develop confidence while building a strong relationship with her family.
Her adopter should also understand that puppies require supervision, structure, and time. Accidents, chewing, and occasional mischief are all normal parts of growing up.
The 3-3-3 Rule
3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe
3 Weeks to understand her new household routine
3 Months to fully settle in, build trust, and feel at home
These are guidelines rather than deadlines. Every rescue dog adjusts differently, and Cindirella should be given the time she needs to feel comfortable and secure.
Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care
Cinderella's vaccination and spay status have not yet been confirmed.
Her future family should review her medical records with a veterinarian to determine whether she needs additional puppy vaccinations, deworming, flea and parasite prevention, microchipping, or other preventive care.
If she has not yet been spayed, her adopter should discuss age-appropriate spaying with a veterinarian.
As a growing puppy, Cinderella will need quality puppy nutrition, regular veterinary examinations, appropriate exercise, dental care, grooming, nail care, and continued preventive healthcare.
Her family should also understand that adopting a puppy is a long-term commitment that includes the time, financial responsibility, training, and care necessary throughout her life.

Abby is a beautiful 1-year-old girl weighing approximately 42 pounds with an incredibly loving and gentle personality. She's affectionate, social, and enjoys being around both people and other animals.
Abby gets along with other dogs and cats, making her a wonderful option for a home that already has furry family members. She's also friendly with people and loves receiving affection and being included in everyday life.
One of Abby's favorite things is going for walks on leash. She would love a family who enjoys getting outside and can make regular walks part of their routine. For Abby, those walks aren't just exercise—they're a chance to explore, spend time with her people, and enjoy the world together.
Her breed has not been provided, so rather than guessing based on appearance, she is best described as a mixed breed until more information is available.
At only one year old, Abby is still a young dog with plenty of life ahead of her. Regular exercise, mental enrichment, companionship, and continued positive training will help her thrive.
Training, Adjustment & What to Expect
Abby's enjoyment of leash walks gives her family a great foundation for continuing her training and building a routine together.
Rescue dogs may arrive with basic training at best, so adopters should be prepared to continue working on leash manners, basic commands, recall, house manners as needed, calm greetings, and household boundaries.
Even though Abby is already social with dogs and cats, introductions to new pets should still be done gradually. Giving everyone time and space to become comfortable helps set the household up for success.

Abby is spayed and vaccinated.
Her future family should continue providing routine veterinary examinations, recommended vaccine boosters, flea and parasite prevention, dental care, quality nutrition, healthy weight management, grooming, nail care, and veterinary treatment whenever necessary.
Regular physical activity will also be important for keeping Abby healthy. Since she already loves her leash walks, maintaining a consistent walking routine is a great way to provide both physical exercise and mental stimulation.

Read more about Mamba Ady
Mamba is a sweet 5-year-old Staffy mix weighing approximately 33 pounds. This special girl is a tripod, but having three legs doesn't stop her from enjoying life, affection, and the company of those around her.
Mamba is friendly with other dogs and loves receiving attention from her people. She can sometimes get a little jealous when attention is being shared, but she is not aggressive. She simply enjoys being close to her humans and soaking up the love.
She can also be around cats with appropriate supervision. Introductions should be gradual and managed carefully, particularly while everyone is still getting to know one another.
Staffy mixes may share traits commonly associated with the breed, including being affectionate, people-oriented, playful, loyal, and enthusiastic companions. Mamba's love of attention fits right in—she's a girl who wants to be included and feel like part of the family.
Her ideal home will give her plenty of affection while also providing clear boundaries and positive reinforcement so she learns that sharing attention with other pets is perfectly okay.
Training, Adjustment & What to Expect
Mamba will benefit from a family that gives her structure, patience, and consistency as she settles into her new environment.
Because she can be somewhat jealous about attention, her adopter should use positive reinforcement to encourage calm behavior around other pets. Affection, treats, toys, and other valued resources can be managed thoughtfully so everyone feels comfortable.
Rescue dogs may arrive with basic training at best, so adopters should be prepared to continue working on house manners as needed, leash skills, basic commands, recall, household boundaries, and positive socialization.
For homes with cats, introductions should be slow and supervised, with the animals initially given separate spaces and interactions increased gradually based on their comfort and behavior.
The 3-3-3 Rule
3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe
3 Weeks to understand her new household routine
3 Months to fully settle in, build trust, and feel at home
These are guidelines rather than deadlines. Every dog adjusts differently.
Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care
Mamba is spayed. Her vaccination status has not been provided.
As a tripod, maintaining a healthy body weight is especially important because her remaining limbs and joints take on additional work. Her family should provide appropriate exercise while avoiding activities that unnecessarily strain her joints.
Regular veterinary care should include monitoring her mobility, remaining limbs, joints, paws, and overall body condition. Depending on her individual needs, a veterinarian may recommend specific exercise, joint support, physical rehabilitation, or modifications as she gets older.
Her ongoing care should also include routine wellness examinations, appropriate vaccinations, parasite prevention, dental care, quality nutrition, nail care, and veterinary treatment whenever necessary.
Being a tripod doesn't mean Mamba can't have a happy, active life—it simply means her family should pay a little extra attention to keeping her body comfortable and healthy.

Read more about Goyo T
Goyo is an adorable Chug mix weighing approximately 21 pounds, and his personality is just as lovable as his little face. He's a very chill, loving boy who is friendly with everyone—including dogs, children, and cats.
Goyo has an easygoing nature and enjoys companionship without needing to make everything complicated. He's the kind of little guy who can happily be part of everyday family life—hanging out with his people, enjoying a leisurely walk, getting some affection, and then settling in nearby to relax.
As a Chug mix, Goyo may share some of the breed's typical qualities. Chugs are often affectionate, social, playful, charming, and strongly attached to their people. Many are happiest simply being included in whatever their family is doing.
Goyo's naturally relaxed personality makes him especially endearing. He doesn't need nonstop excitement to be happy. Love, companionship, comfortable places to relax, and people who enjoy having him around are much more his style.
Training, Adjustment & What to Expect
Although Goyo is already an adult, every dog needs time to understand a new home and routine.
Rescue dogs may arrive with basic training at best, so his adopter should be prepared to continue reinforcing house manners, leash skills, basic commands, recall, and household boundaries as needed.
His naturally friendly personality is a wonderful foundation, but consistency and positive-reinforcement training will still help him understand what his new family expects from him.
The 3-3-3 Rule
3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe
3 Weeks to understand his new household routine
3 Months to fully settle in, build trust, and feel at home
These are guidelines rather than deadlines. Even a friendly, easygoing dog like Goyo deserves time to settle in at his own pace.
Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care
Goyo is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations.
His future family should continue routine veterinary examinations, recommended vaccine boosters, parasite prevention, dental care, nail care, quality nutrition, healthy weight management, appropriate exercise, and veterinary treatment whenever necessary.
Because Goyo is a French Bulldog mix, his family should also be mindful of possible brachycephalic, or short-nosed, characteristics. Dogs with shorter airways can be more sensitive to heat, humidity, and strenuous exercise.
Goyo should have access to cool indoor spaces and fresh water during warm weather, and his family should watch for excessive panting, overheating, or breathing difficulties. Keeping him at a healthy weight is also particularly important.

❤️ Personality, Breed Information & Kobe’s Story
Read more about Kobe
Kobe is a 6-year-old Doberman Pinscher/German Shepherd mix weighing 95 pounds. He is currently looking for a new home because his owner is no longer able to provide the care he needs and wants Kobe to have the opportunity to find another loving family.
According to his owner, Kobe has been a great companion and a very good boy. He's a relaxed dog who doesn't need to be constantly entertained. He's perfectly happy lounging around the house with his people, but he's also ready to head outside when it's time for a walk or some fun.
Kobe especially enjoys going to the dog park and playing with other dogs. He is reported to get along very well with dogs and is also great with children.
Inside the home, Kobe already has some wonderful manners. He is house trained and communicates when he needs to go outside, giving his family plenty of warning before he has an accident. His owner reports that Kobe rarely barks at home and does not have a habit of chewing furniture.
There is one funny exception: paper napkins should probably stay out of reach. Those apparently remain irresistible to Kobe.
As a Doberman/German Shepherd mix, Kobe may share characteristics commonly associated with both breeds, including intelligence, loyalty, attentiveness, athleticism, and strong bonds with their families.
At six years old, however, Kobe's individual personality is already well established. His owner describes a dog who has learned how to live comfortably as part of a household and enjoys a nice balance of relaxation, walks, social time, and companionship.
Training, Adjustment & What to Expect
One of Kobe's biggest advantages is that he already has experience living as a family companion.
According to his current owner, Kobe is:
✔️ House trained
✔️ Good about signaling when he needs to go outside
✔️ Relaxed inside the home
✔️ Accustomed to regular walks
✔️ Social and playful with other dogs
✔️ Great with children
✔️ Generally quiet at home
✔️ Not known for chewing furniture
Even with these established habits, Kobe will still need an adjustment period when he moves into a new home.
His new family should give him time to become familiar with new people, surroundings, expectations, and routines. Existing training should continue to be reinforced through patience, consistency, structure, and positive reinforcement.
The 3-3-3 Rule
3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe
3 Weeks to understand his new household routine
3 Months to fully settle in, build trust, and feel at home
These are guidelines rather than deadlines. A major change at six years old can take time, and Kobe should be allowed to adjust at his own pace.
Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care
Kobe is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations.
His new family should continue providing routine veterinary wellness examinations, recommended vaccine boosters, flea/tick/heartworm and parasite prevention, dental care, quality nutrition, healthy weight management, grooming and nail care, appropriate daily exercise, and veterinary treatment whenever necessary.
At six years old, maintaining a healthy weight, appropriate exercise routine, and regular veterinary care will become increasingly important as Kobe approaches his senior years.
Any available medical and vaccination records should be transferred to his new family and reviewed with their veterinarian.

Rocky would benefit from:
Daily walks and appropriate exercise

Most importantly, Rocky needs a family prepared to make her a genuine part of their everyday life.
Training, Adjustment & What to Expect
Even though Rocky is already an adult, moving into a new home means learning an entirely new environment, schedule, and set of expectations.
Rescue dogs may arrive with basic training at best, so her adopter should be prepared to continue working on leash manners, basic commands, recall, household boundaries, calm greetings, and house training as needed.
Because Sheepdog-type dogs can be intelligent and attentive, positive-reinforcement training can provide valuable mental stimulation while helping Rocky build a strong relationship with her new family.

❤️ Personality & Breed Information
Read more about Emma Jean
Emma is a beautiful 6-year-old American Foxhound mix weighing approximately 40 pounds. She is a shy, timid girl with a gentle personality who needs something very special from her future family: patience.
Emma isn't the type of dog who should be expected to walk into a new home and immediately feel comfortable. She needs people willing to give her the time and space to build confidence and learn that she is safe.
She is good with other dogs, although she may actually benefit from being the only dog in the home, where she can receive one-on-one attention and settle into her environment without additional pressure. This isn't because she cannot be around other dogs—it may simply give this sensitive girl the opportunity to focus on building a strong relationship with her people.
As an American Foxhound mix, Emma may share traits associated with the breed, including intelligence, sensitivity, athleticism, curiosity, and a strong sense of smell. However, Emma's individual temperament should always matter more than general breed expectations.
Her ideal family will understand that earning the trust of a shy dog can take time. Emma shouldn't be forced into interactions or overwhelming situations. Instead, she needs calm encouragement, predictable routines, positive experiences, and the freedom to approach new people and situations at her own pace.
For the right family, watching Emma slowly become comfortable and begin showing more of herself could be incredibly rewarding.
Training, Confidence Building & What to Expect
Emma's transition into a new home should focus first on safety, trust, and confidence—not perfection.
Rescue dogs may arrive with basic training at best. With Emma, training should be gentle and based entirely on positive reinforcement. Punishment or forcing her through situations that frighten her could increase her anxiety.
Her family should work gradually on:
Building confidence
Establishing a predictable daily routine
Leash manners
Basic commands
House training as needed
Comfortable handling
Calm introductions to new experiences
Household boundaries
Positive socialization at her own pace
Because timid dogs can sometimes try to flee when frightened, Emma's family should be particularly careful with doors, gates, fencing, collars, harnesses, and leash security, especially during her first weeks in a new home.
The 3-3-3 Rule
3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe
3 Weeks to understand her new household routine
3 Months to settle in, build trust, and begin feeling at home
For a sensitive dog like Emma, these are only guidelines. She may need longer, and that's perfectly okay. Her progress should happen on Emma's timeline.
Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care
Emma's spay, vaccination, microchip, and other medical information were not provided, so her complete medical records should be reviewed with her veterinarian.
Her future family should provide routine wellness examinations, vaccinations and boosters as recommended, spaying if not already completed, parasite prevention, dental care, quality nutrition, healthy weight management, appropriate exercise, and veterinary treatment whenever needed.
Her emotional well-being matters just as much as her physical health. A calm home, consistent routine, gentle handling, and positive experiences will be important parts of helping Emma thrive.

Lucky is a handsome 3-year-old Pit Bull mix weighing approximately 77 pounds. Despite being a big boy, what Lucky wants most is incredibly simple: love, affection, and a family to call his own.
He is described as very loving, gentle, and noble, with a sweet nature and a genuine love for human companionship. Lucky is social with people and gets along well with other dogs.
At three years old, Lucky is past the puppy stage but still a young adult with many wonderful years ahead of him.
As a Pit Bull mix, Lucky may share many of the qualities these dogs are loved for. Pit Bull-type dogs are often affectionate, people-oriented, playful, loyal, and eager to be involved in family life. Lucky's personality already shows just how much he values being close to people.
At approximately 77 pounds, Lucky is a substantial dog, so his future family should be comfortable handling a larger companion and committed to providing regular exercise, structure, enrichment, and continued positive-reinforcement training.
Most importantly, Lucky deserves a home where he isn't simply a dog living in the house—he deserves to be part of the family.
Training, Adjustment & What to Expect
Even a loving and social dog like Lucky will need time to understand his new home, routine, and expectations.
Rescue dogs may arrive with basic training at best, so his adopter should be prepared to continue working on:
Leash manners
Basic commands
Recall
Household boundaries
Calm greetings
Positive socialization
Good manners around people and other dogs
Because Lucky is a larger, strong dog, consistent leash manners and basic obedience will be especially important. Training should always use positive reinforcement, patience, and consistency.
The 3-3-3 Rule
3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe
3 Weeks to understand his new household routine
3 Months to fully settle in, build trust, and feel at home
Give Lucky the time, structure, and security he needs to settle in and build a lasting bond with his new family.
Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care
Lucky is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations.
His future family should continue providing routine veterinary wellness exams, recommended vaccine boosters, flea/tick/heartworm and parasite prevention, dental care, quality nutrition, healthy weight management, regular exercise, grooming, and veterinary treatment whenever needed.
A lifelong commitment means being prepared to care for Lucky's physical and emotional needs throughout adulthood and eventually into his senior years.

Read more about Palomo GR
Palomo is an 8-year-old West Highland White Terrier mix with a gentle personality and a very simple wish: he just wants to be loved.
He is an incredibly loving and calm boy who enjoys being around people. Palomo also gets along with other dogs and cats, making him a wonderful candidate for a home with other pets.
Palomo has been through a difficult chapter. He previously suffered a fractured hip. His veterinarian recommended rest, and he was given the time he needed to recover. His history doesn't define him, but it is important information for his future family to know so his comfort and mobility can continue to be monitored.
What stands out most about Palomo today isn't what happened to him—it's his temperament. He is peaceful, affectionate, and simply wants love and companionship.
As a West Highland White Terrier mix, Palomo may share traits associated with Westies, including being affectionate, intelligent, curious, loyal, and full of personality. At eight years old, however, Palomo's individual personality is already clear: he's a calm, loving companion looking for a comfortable place to call home.
Training, Adjustment & What to Expect
Palomo is a senior dog, and his new home should give him a comfortable routine, gentle exercise, affection, and plenty of opportunities to relax near his people.
Rescue dogs may arrive with basic training at best, so his family should patiently reinforce any household manners, leash skills, or routines he needs using positive reinforcement.
The 3-3-3 Rule
3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe
3 Weeks to understand his new household routine
3 Months to fully settle in, build trust, and feel at home
A quiet sleeping area, predictable schedule, comfortable bedding, and patience will help Palomo settle into his new life.
Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care
Palomo has a history of a hip fracture, so his future veterinarian should be made aware of the previous injury. Although rest was the treatment recommended at the time, his family should continue monitoring his comfort and mobility as he gets older.
Any limping, stiffness, difficulty getting up, reluctance to walk or jump, signs of pain, or changes in mobility should be evaluated by a veterinarian.
As an 8-year-old dog, Palomo would also benefit from regular senior wellness examinations and any bloodwork his veterinarian recommends. Keeping him at a healthy weight can help reduce unnecessary stress on his hips and joints.
His neuter and vaccination status were not provided and should be confirmed through his medical records.

Lucas is an adorable 6-month-old Terrier mix weighing approximately 12 pounds. He's a happy young pup with all the fun, curiosity, and playful energy you'd expect from a puppy his age.
Lucas is friendly with other dogs and good with children. His compatibility with cats is currently unknown.
At six months old, Lucas is at such a fun stage of puppyhood. He's old enough for his personality to really start shining through, but he's still young and has plenty to learn about the world. He loves opportunities to play, explore, investigate new things, and spend time with his people.
As a Terrier mix, Lucas may share many common Terrier qualities. Terriers are often bright, curious, playful, energetic, confident, and full of personality. They can be clever little dogs who enjoy having something to do, whether that's playing with toys, learning new skills, going for walks, or investigating every interesting smell they encounter.
Lucas would benefit from a family that provides:
Plenty of love and companionship
Daily age-appropriate exercise
Playtime and interactive toys
Positive-reinforcement training
Continued puppy socialization
Mental stimulation and enrichment
Consistent routines and boundaries
Safe chew toys
Patience through adolescence
A secure and loving indoor home
A lifelong commitment
Lucas may be a cute little puppy now, but his adopter should be ready to love and care for the adult and senior dog he will eventually become, too.
Puppy Training, Adjustment & What to Expect
At six months old, Lucas is still very much a puppy. His future family should expect normal puppy behaviors such as chewing, excitement, bursts of energy, distraction, curiosity, and occasionally testing the rules.
Rescue puppies may arrive with basic training at best, so Lucas's adopter should be prepared to continue working on:
House training as needed
Crate training as appropriate
Basic commands
Leash manners
Appropriate chewing
Calm greetings
Recall
Household boundaries
Continued socialization
Comfortable handling and grooming
Lucas is approaching adolescence, a stage when puppies sometimes seem to temporarily "forget" things they've already learned. Patience and consistency are important. Short, positive training sessions will help him develop good habits while strengthening his relationship with his new family.
Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule:
3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe
3 Weeks to understand his new household routine
3 Months to fully settle in, build trust, and feel at home
Give Lucas structure, affection, patience, and plenty of opportunities to succeed, and he'll have a wonderful foundation for adulthood.
Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care

Three Little Paws, One Very Big Heart—Rocky Is Ready for His Forever Family

Gender: Male | Age: 6 years old | Weight/Size: 28 lbs (Small-Medium)
Special Feature: Rocky has three legs
Good With: Dogs ✔️ | Kids ✔️ | Cats: Unknown
Personality: ❤️ Very Loving | Gentle | Sweet-Natured | Affectionate
Medical: ✔️ Neutered | ✔️ Vaccinated
Location: Los Angeles, California
Transportation: Ozzie and Friends Rescue coordinates safe transportation for approved adopters throughout the United States.
❤️ Personality & Breed Information
Read more about Rocky G
Rocky is a special Jack Russell Terrier / Poodle mix weighing approximately 26 pounds. This handsome boy may have only three legs, but he certainly isn't missing any love to give.
Rocky is described as incredibly loving and noble, with a gentle and sweet nature. He's friendly with other dogs and good with children, making him a wonderful candidate for many different types of families.
Being a three-legged dog doesn't mean Rocky can't enjoy a happy, active, and fulfilling life. Many tripod dogs adapt remarkably well and enjoy walks, exploring, playtime, and everyday family activities. His family simply needs to be thoughtful about his individual mobility and physical needs.
Rocky's Jack Russell Terrier and Poodle heritage makes for a fun combination. Both breeds are known for being intelligent and highly trainable. Jack Russells tend to be lively, curious, playful, and adventurous, while Poodles are often affectionate, people-oriented, clever, and eager to learn.
Rocky will benefit from activities that engage both his mind and body, while keeping his exercise appropriate for a three-legged dog.
His ideal family will provide:
Plenty of love and human companionship
Daily exercise appropriate for his mobility
Mental stimulation and interactive toys
Positive-reinforcement training
Continued socialization
Comfortable places to rest
A safe environment with good traction
Regular grooming and coat maintenance
Healthy weight management
A secure indoor home where he's part of the family
A lifelong commitment
Most importantly, Rocky needs someone who sees the wonderful dog he is—not the leg he doesn't have.
Training, Adjustment & What to Expect
Rocky's future family should allow him time to become comfortable with his new surroundings and learn the household routine.
Rescue dogs may arrive with basic training at best, so adopters should be prepared to continue working on house training, leash manners, basic commands, boundaries, and household routines as needed.
Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule:
3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe
3 Weeks to understand his new household routine
3 Months to fully settle in, build trust, and feel at home
Because Rocky has three legs, his adopter should also pay attention to his physical comfort. Non-slip flooring, maintaining a lean and healthy weight, limiting unnecessary jumping, and providing appropriate exercise can help reduce excess stress on his remaining limbs and joints.
Rocky doesn't need to be treated as fragile. He simply needs a family willing to understand his body and help him stay comfortable and active.
Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care
Rocky is already neutered and vaccinated.
Because tripod dogs place additional demands on their remaining limbs, maintaining Rocky at a healthy weight will be particularly important throughout his life.
His future family should provide:
Routine veterinary wellness examinations
Recommended vaccinations and boosters
Flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite prevention
Routine dental care
Regular brushing and professional grooming as needed
Quality nutrition and healthy weight management
Exercise appropriate for his mobility
Monitoring of his remaining legs, joints, and overall movement

Read more about Canelo GC
Canelo is a friendly and social four-year-old Terrier mix who enjoys being around people and connecting with his human companions. At about 37 pounds, he's a great medium size and is past the puppy stage while still having plenty of life and personality.
Canelo is social with people and would love a home where he can be included in everyday family life. Whether it's going for walks, spending time outside, relaxing at home, or simply hanging out with his favorite person, Canelo is ready to become someone's loyal companion.
When it comes to other dogs, Canelo is selective about his canine friends. He doesn't automatically enjoy the company of every dog he meets, and that's perfectly okay. Rather than expecting him to share his home with another dog, we believe Canelo will be happiest and most successful as the only dog in his forever home, where he can enjoy all the attention and companionship for himself.
As a Terrier mix, Canelo may share many of the qualities associated with Terriers, including intelligence, curiosity, determination, and a strong connection with their people. Terriers benefit from regular exercise, mental stimulation, consistent routines, and positive reinforcement training.
His ideal family will provide him with:
Plenty of human companionship and affection
A home where he can be the only dog
Daily walks and regular exercise
Mental stimulation and enrichment
Positive reinforcement training
Clear, consistent boundaries
Safe and responsible handling around unfamiliar dogs
A secure, loving indoor home
A lifelong commitment
Training, Adjustment & What to Expect
Even though Canelo is an adult, moving into a new home will be a major adjustment. His adopter should allow him time to become comfortable without rushing introductions or expecting him to understand a new routine immediately.
Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule:
3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe
3 Weeks to understand his new household routine
3 Months to fully settle in, build trust, and feel at home
Because Canelo is dog-selective, his adopter should avoid forced interactions with unfamiliar dogs. Walks should be managed responsibly, and any necessary introductions should be slow, controlled, and positive.
Canelo doesn't need to become friends with every dog he meets. His success is being comfortable, safe, well-managed, and happy with his family.
Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care
Canelo is already neutered and vaccinated.
His future family should continue providing:
Routine veterinary wellness examinations
Recommended vaccinations and boosters
Flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite prevention
Routine dental care
Quality nutrition and healthy weight management

Mental stimulation and enrichment
Continued positive-reinforcement training
Veterinary care whenever illness or injury occurs

❤️ Personality, Breed Information & Star's Story
At only six months old, Star is a sweet young girl with a loving personality and her entire life ahead of her.
She is social, affectionate, and friendly, with a naturally sweet temperament that makes her easy to love. Star enjoys being around people and soaking up attention, but she also has plenty of puppy energy when it's time to play.
Star is at a wonderful age for adoption. She's young, adaptable, and ready to learn the routines of her future family. With continued training, socialization, and positive experiences, she has everything she needs to grow into a confident and well-mannered adult companion.
She also gets along well with other dogs and enjoys canine companionship. Like many six-month-old puppies, Star can get enthusiastic during play and sometimes doesn't realize she's being a little rough.
For this reason, a home with another dog of a similar size, energy level, and play style would be the best fit. Smaller, senior, or very gentle dogs may not appreciate her puppy wrestling. Introductions to any new dog should always be gradual and supervised.
As a Pit Bull / Blue Nose Pit Bull Mix, Star comes from dogs known for being intelligent, affectionate, athletic, and deeply connected to their people. These dogs thrive when they're included in family life and given appropriate outlets for their energy.
Star would thrive with a family that provides:
Plenty of love and affection
Daily walks and age-appropriate exercise
Interactive toys and playtime
Positive reinforcement puppy training
Continued socialization
Appropriate play with compatible dogs
Mental enrichment and training games
Consistent household routines and boundaries
Plenty of time with her people
A safe indoor home where she's treated as part of the family
A lifelong commitment
Star already has the loving personality. She simply needs a family ready to help her grow into the amazing adult dog she's capable of becoming.
Training, Adjustment & What to Expect
At six months old, Star is still very much a puppy. Her new family should expect normal puppy behaviors and be prepared to continue teaching her good manners as she grows.
Her enthusiastic play is normal for a young dog, but this is an important age for teaching her how to regulate that excitement. Structured play, positive reinforcement, consistent boundaries, and breaks when she becomes overly excited can help her learn appropriate play manners.
Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule:
3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe
3 Weeks to understand her new household routine
3 Months to settle in, build trust, and truly feel at home
Star will benefit from:
Continued basic obedience training
Positive reinforcement and clear boundaries
Leash training
Daily walks and structured exercise
Interactive toys and games
Mental enrichment and puzzle toys
Continued positive socialization
Supervised play with compatible dogs
Plenty of affection and family interaction
She's at an ideal age to continue building good habits that will stay with her throughout adulthood.
Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care
Star is already spayed and fully vetted, giving her an excellent start toward a healthy future.

❤️ Personality, Breed Information & Honey's Story
Honey truly lives up to her name. She's an incredibly loving and affectionate young girl with a happy personality and a playful spirit that makes her a joy to have around.
At eight months old, Honey is still a young dog with plenty of puppy enthusiasm. She absolutely loves to play and has the energy to keep up with an active family. Walks, games, toys, exploring, and playtime with other dogs are all great ways for her to stay busy and happy.
But Honey isn't all go, go, go. Underneath that playful energy is a very affectionate girl who loves connecting with her people. She enjoys attention and companionship and wants to be included as part of the family.
Honey is also wonderfully social. She's great with other dogs and friendly with cats, giving her the potential to fit beautifully into a multi-pet household with appropriate introductions.
And this smart girl already has some very useful skills!
Honey is house-trained and crate-trained. She can relax calmly in her crate for several hours when needed, which can make the transition into a new household much easier. She's also comfortable riding in the car, making her a great candidate for a family that wants a dog who can come along for outings and adventures.
As a Feist / Terrier Mix, Honey may share many of the qualities associated with these bright, active little working dogs. Feists and Terriers tend to be intelligent, curious, energetic, and devoted to their people. They enjoy having something to do and benefit from a combination of physical activity and mental stimulation.
Honey would thrive with a family that provides:
Plenty of affection and companionship
Daily walks and regular exercise
Lots of interactive play

Training, Adjustment & What to Expect
Honey already has an excellent foundation. Being both house-trained and crate-trained at eight months old is a great start, but she's still young and will benefit from continued training as she moves through adolescence.
Even previously house-trained dogs can have occasional accidents when adjusting to a completely new environment, so her adopter should give her time to learn the new household schedule.
Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule:
3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe
3 Weeks to understand her new household routine
3 Months to settle in, build trust, and truly feel at home
Honey's energy will need healthy outlets. Daily walks, interactive games, training exercises, sniffing opportunities, puzzle toys, and appropriate play with other dogs can help keep her physically and mentally fulfilled.
Her crate should continue to be treated as a safe, positive space, never as punishment. Although Honey can remain calmly crated for several hours, she is an active young

After being found without a permanent home, Merlina was fortunate enough to be welcomed into a loving foster home. Instead of having to wait in a rescue environment, she has been able to experience the comfort and stability of living with a family while she waits for the one thing she still needs—a forever home of her own.
Life in foster care has given Merlina the opportunity to show everyone what a wonderful dog she truly is.
Merlina is outgoing, loving, and incredibly friendly. She enjoys meeting people and has an open, social personality that makes her easy to connect with. She's the kind of dog who wants to be involved in what's happening around her, whether that's heading out for a walk, spending time outside, playing, or simply relaxing with her people.
At approximately two years old, Merlina is at a fantastic age. She has moved beyond the earliest puppy stage while still being young, active, and ready for plenty of adventures. At 35 pounds, she's also a manageable medium size that can fit comfortably into many different lifestyles.
Her time in foster care has helped prepare her for family life, but moving into a permanent home will still be a transition. Merlina needs someone willing to give her the patience and consistency every rescue dog deserves while she learns that this time, she's truly home.
As a Catahoula Leopard Dog / Terrier Mix, Merlina may have many of the intelligent, energetic, and loyal qualities associated with these breeds. Catahoula's are known for being bright, athletic dogs that form strong bonds with their families, while Terriers often bring confidence, curiosity, and a fun-loving personality. Merlina will benefit from a home that provides both physical activity and opportunities to keep her mind engaged.

Plenty of opportunities to be included in family activities
A safe indoor home where she's treated as a cherished member of the family
A lifelong commitment
Merlina's foster home gave her a safe place to land. Now she's ready for the family who will give her a permanent place to belong.
Training, Adjustment & What to Expect
Living in foster care gives Merlina valuable experience in a home environment, but adopters should remember that every new home brings different people, routines, sounds, expectations, and surroundings.
Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule:
3 Days to decompress and begin feeling comfortable
3 Weeks to understand her new household routine
3 Months to settle in, build trust, and truly feel at home
Her future family should be prepared to continue working on any household manners, leash skills, boundaries, or other training she may need.
Merlina's intelligence and outgoing personality can make positive reinforcement training a wonderful way to build a relationship with her. Consistency, praise, treats, games, and clear expectations will help her understand what her new family wants from her.
She will benefit from:
Continued positive reinforcement training
Daily walks and physical activity
Interactive games and enrichment
Consistent routines
Continued positive socialization
