I’m spunky, full of energy, super smart, and, as you can clearly see, cute as a button! I’m great with every animal and human I meet. I’m currently working on my potty training and doing sooooo good! I’m also crate trained, although if I had my way, I’d much rather be hanging out with my people. Even though I’m a little guy, I can handle stairs like a champ! He’s respectful of items that are not toys—but he does love his chew toys! He’s a friendly guy who gets along well with other dogs (he would also do fine as a solo dog). If I'm being honest I'm the classic cranky old man—I'm the boss, and I'm not shy to let you know it! I get along well with other dogs, though. I also get along with children! That being said, they should be older, considerate kids, who respect me and my space. I'm a mighty hunter like a good dog! Although I do have a high prey drive, so... I'm not a great match for homes with cats or small pets.Toys are my absolute favorite—especially anything that squeaks! How to adopt from The Rescue Crew, Inc
Adoption applications must be completed, which include information regarding references and vet clinic information, DL #, names, etc. Reference checks are conducted and when necessary vetting information verified. Discussion about the animal interested in to best assure appropriate and proper placement is made, and educational information regarding how to manage a multi-dog/animal household, slow and proper introductions and the importance of a shut-down period to help the animal acclimate to new surroundings. A "meet and greet" with the animal is required and whenever possible all residents of the household should be present. Home checks may, but not always, be necessary. After adoption applications is approved a contract is required, where we also stipulate that if for any reason the adopter determines they no longer want or can care for the animal we require it be returned to us, with the exception of documented bite history or potentially dangerous or dangerous dog designations. Adoption fees vary, but are comparable to or less than other local rescues and typically are $300 or less for a canine and $150 for a feline.
