Petunja’s story is one of our favorites. When we first met her, she was terrified of people and unsure of the world around her. Today? She absolutely LOVES meeting new people.

This sweet girl has blossomed while being fostered with one of our trainers, who has helped her build confidence and become the happy, affectionate girl we knew was hiding inside.

Petunja’s perfect day is pretty simple: be by your side, get some love, give even more love back, play with her toys, have the occasional case of the zoomies… and then get right back to lounging.

Petunja hasn’t had much experience with other dogs, so we’re looking for a home where she can be the only pet for now. Because of her past, older, respectful children would be the best fit for her.

She’s already done the hard part learning that people can be kind and that life can be good.

Now she just needs someone to show her that home can be forever.
