I love affection, I love attention, and I’m so happy to finally be a dog again instead of just a survivor. I was found as a stray by some nice people who helped me find my way to Forte Animal Rescue. I had a microchip, so they were able to contact my previous owner, who clearly never understood what it meant to be my guardian. He told them he didn’t want me anymore because he didn’t have time for a puppy. (Then why did he adopt me in the first place?)

Cleopatra's story is one of rescue, resilience, and second chances. She was rescued from the sewer as a tiny pup by our very own director, Lisa, and her siblings. At just 9 weeks old, she was adopted into a loving home where she spent the next six years as a cherished family member. When her owner recently passed away, she was surrendered to Rancho Cucamonga shelter. The shelter staff went above and beyond to track us down, and we were determined to bring her back where she belonged. It took effort, coordination, and transport to make it happen, but we knew she deserved a second chance. Now 6 years old, Cleopatra is a medium-large mixed breed with stunning blue and amber eyes and a gorgeous cream and tan coat.
