1. Raggedy Ann aka Annie
Puppy (4 years 4 months) · Female · Black Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat) · 68 mi from Pensacola

EMERGENCY INTAKE UPDATE!!!
Meet Raggedy Ann, aka “Annie.” ❤️
Annie saw our vet yesterday, and unfortunately, this sweet baby has a long road to recovery ahead of her.
She is suffering from hereditary demodectic mange, fungal and bacterial skin infections, and much of her little body is essentially one large, oozing scab. She is also emaciated and full of parasites.
And yet, through all of that pain and discomfort, Annie is one of the sweetest, most grateful girls.
Read more about Raggedy Ann aka Annie
She is only around 4 months old, which means she has likely spent most—if not all—of her very short life living in this terrible condition. Despite everything she has endured, she is so appreciative of every gentle touch, every meal, and every bit of love she receives. ❤️
Annie is now safely settled into foster care, where she is finally receiving the medical treatment, nutrition, comfort, and love she desperately needs. She has a long journey ahead, but we made her a promise:
It’s ALL up from here, sweet girl. You will never have to live like this again. ❤️
Her care will be extensive, and we desperately need help covering her medical expenses. If you’re able to donate—even a few dollars—every single contribution adds up and helps us continue saying YES to animals like Annie when they need us most.

3. Dakota
Puppy (4 years 4 months) · Male · Jack Russell Terrier / Mixed (short coat) · 68 mi from Pensacola

✨ UPDATE!! MEET DAKOTA! ✨
Meet Dakota! This adorable little guy came to us from a local overcrowded shelter and has settled beautifully into foster care!
Dakota is a 3–4-month-old Terrier mix weighing just 4 lbs. Based on his current size, we believe he may be around 10–15 lbs. as an adult, but with mixed-breed puppies, adult size is always our best guess.
This little guy is SO sweet, playful, and great with other dogs! He’s enjoying foster life, playing with his furry friends, and showing everyone what a happy little pup he is.
Dakota is UTD, neutered, and READY for his forever home!
Read more about Dakota
Our adoptions are NOT first come, first served, and there is NO fee to apply! We work to find the home that is the best match for each individual animal.
We never state that any animal is fully house-trained. New environments, situations, families, and routines can lead to accidents—even with the most well-trained animals. Puppies especially will need continued potty training, socialization, and guidance as they grow.
ADOPTION FEE: $195
The adoption fee includes a vet check, age-appropriate vaccinations (at least 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm testing if over 6 months old, rabies vaccination if at least 16 weeks old, and spay/neuter.
All puppies will be altered before adoption. As part of our rescue policy, all healthy and adoptable dogs over 8 weeks old and 2 lbs. will be spayed or neutered prior to adoption. We have researched pediatric spay/neuter extensively and discussed it in depth with multiple veterinarians. From a rescue standpoint, this is an essential part of our efforts to prevent unwanted litters.
There are no exceptions to this policy for healthy, adoptable puppies. Please do not request an extension on spay/neuter, as one will not be granted.
❤️ Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue is an ALL-VOLUNTEER rescue. Please allow our volunteers time to respond to inquiries and applications. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

25. Stellie
Puppy · Female · Great Pyrenees / Mixed (medium coat) · 68 mi from Pensacola

UPDATE!!✨
THE LAST ONE LEFT OF HER LITTER—and this sweet girl is still waiting for her forever family!
Meet Stellie! This beautiful girl and her siblings were rescued from a not-so-good situation. Her siblings have all found their homes, and now it’s Stellie’s turn! We can’t believe this sweet, outgoing girl is the last one still waiting.
Stellie is a gorgeous Great Pyrenees mix, approximately 5–6 months old and 30-ish lbs. She was the only girl and the middle child of her litter. She has a slimmer build than her brothers, medium-length hair, and the sweetest personality. She’s also the most outgoing of the bunch!
Read more about Stellie
Stellie is expected to be a large-sized adult, so her forever family should be prepared for plenty of dog to love! She’s pretty mellow for her age, incredibly smart, and eager to learn. She picked up on using the doggy door on her very first day! Of course, she’s still a puppy and will need continued training, patience, and consistency as she grows.
Stellie is great with dogs of all sizes and cats and has also been exposed to livestock. She’s sweet, social, smart, and ready to find a family who will give her all the love and time she deserves.
She is UTD on age-appropriate vaccines, dewormed, and altered. ❤️
✨ Stellie watched all of her siblings find their families, and now we want nothing more than to see this beautiful girl get her turn! Get your application in and help us find Stellie the forever home she deserves!
Our adoptions are NOT first come, first served, and there is no fee to apply! We never state that any animal is fully house-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, etc. can lead to accidents—even with the most well-trained animals.
DOG ADOPTION FEE: $195
The adoption fee includes a vet check, age-appropriate vaccines (at least 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm testing if over 6 months, rabies vaccine if at least 16 weeks old, and spay/neuter.
Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue, so please allow us time to respond to inquiries and applications. We appreciate your patience and support! ❤️

Milo is a 7-month-old husky mix with striking black-and-white markings. His mom is a full-blooded husky; Dad is a mystery, but look at that face! Adopting a puppy in Pensacola
Puppies usually go to their new homes from about eight weeks old, once they're weaned and have had their first vaccinations. Most rescues spay or neuter them before adoption, or include it in the fee.
Ask the rescue how big the puppy is expected to grow and which breeds they think are in the mix, so you can plan for the dog they'll become.
Puppies need a lot of your time: house-training, a few minutes of training every day, several small meals, and someone home often enough to let them out. A puppy class is a good way to start.
