I’m a sweet, happy girl with a gentle heart, but the world is still a pretty scary place to me. I want to trust people, I really do, but sometimes my past makes that hard. I just need a little extra time to understand that kind hands are here to love me, not hurt me.

I absolutely LOVE having other dogs around! They help me feel safe, give me confidence, and remind me that everything is going to be okay. Having a furry friend in my forever home would mean so much to me!

My crate is my safe place. It’s where I feel protected when the world gets overwhelming. I’m also still learning that I get to go outside to potty now. For so long, I didn’t have that choice, so sometimes I still potty in my crate. I’m trying my best, I promise! I just need someone who understands that learning a whole new way of life takes time.

I’m not looking for someone who expects me to be perfect. I’m looking for someone who will love me while I learn.

Someone patient. Someone gentle. Someone who will celebrate my little victories, give me grace on my hard days, and show me that the world isn’t such a scary place after all.

I absolutely LOVE treats, and I’m even starting to discover how fun toys can be! I’m still learning the ropes of house training. Since I spent time in a shelter where I didn’t get to go outside every day, I had to use my kennel when nature called. With patience, consistency, and a little encouragement, I’m learning what it means to be a house pup!

I may still be figuring things out, but I have so much love to give and can’t wait to find a family who will give me the chance to shine. Could you be the one to give me my happily ever after?

Boone had a rough start in life with two broken back knees, but his spirit never broke! At his recent vet visit, the veterinarian was incredibly impressed with how well his knees have healed! His little legs may look a bit wonky, but he can run, hike, swim, and play just like any other dog!

Boone loves car rides, adventures, cuddles, and giving gentle kisses. He’s an easygoing, happy boy with so much love to give.

Boone has already overcome so much. Now all he needs is someone to look past his imperfect little legs and see his perfectly beautiful heart.

I have a mild luxating patella in my left rear leg which is typical for a lot of smaller dogs and it doesn't bother me. I'm on an inexpensive over-the-counter joint supplement called Cosequin that's good for all older dog's joints.
