1. Jeff
Adult (3 years 5 months) · Male · Bulldog (short coat) · 69 mi from Warner Robins

Jeff is scheduled to be transported to New Jersey on Nov. 12, 2026 and be available for adoption at the Tractor Supply in Ringoes over the Nov 1-15 weekend. An applications for Jeff's adoption can be submitted at socorescue.com (no need to "Register" or "Login"). Questions about Jeff and/or our adoption policy should be sent to socorescue8@gmail.com; please no phone calls.
Read more about Jeff
Jeff was part of a litter of Bulldog pups that came to SoCo Rescue in July of 2023. Two of his brothers, Solomon and Simon, were adopted to families in New Jersey in early 2025. Due to a reduced number of larger dogs being adopted over the past few years and having to overcome the bulldog stigma, Jeff has had to wait patiently for the opportunity to find his new home. While they have not yet met, we believe that Jeff's adopter is currently looking for a dog just like him and that this is Jeff's time to finally find his new home.
Jeff is very people friendly and has even done very well when interacting with other dogs in a controlled environment. He loves going on walks and long hikes and having the opportunity to run and play in a large outdoor fenced area. While he's not yet had any experience living as an indoor dog, we believe he'll adjust to life as a couch potato with proper training as he is a quick learner.
Jeff has been kept up to date on his annual vaccinations, de-wormings and monthly preventatives since coming into our rescue. He was recently neutered and given both a heartworm and fecal exam, both of which gained negative test results. He's never displayed any aggressive behavior towards people or other dogs, but we'd recommend a "meet-an- greet" with any other dogs that he may share a new home with prior to an adoption. Jeff has also already been microchipped.

2. Grace
Young (6 months) · Female · Labrador Retriever / Bulldog / Mixed (short coat) · 69 mi from Warner Robins

Grace is scheduled to be transported to New Jersey on Nov 12 and will be available for adoption at the Tractor Supply in Ringoes over the Nov. 14-15 weekend. An application for Grace's adoption should be submitted at socorescue.com (no need to register or login). Questions about Grace and/or our adoption process should be sent to socorescue8@gmail.com; please do not call the Rescue's number.
Read more about Grace
Grace came from the same litter that also yielded her two sisters, Gina and Gussie, who are currently also available for adoption. While Gina, Gussie and their siblings all came into our rescue at the same time, Grace was surrendered to SoCo a month later which delayed her being available for adoption. The entire "G" litter came to us as owner surrenders and we're helping the former owner get all of his other dogs spay and neutered.
Grace is much bigger than her siblings and seems to have also have much more energy than they did. Her ideal home will allow for ample space and time to expel some of her energy. She does play well with other dogs and simply adores her human counterparts. Despite benign very energetic, Grace also loves to cuddle up next to anyone who'll spend time with her.
Grace has received an update on her annual vaccinations, de-wormings and kept up to date on her monthly preventatives. She's also already been spay and had her microchip inserted. She is accustomed to sleeping in a crate, which will be helpful during her continued house training. She does walk decently on a leash.

3. Vance
Adult (4 years 5 months) · Male · Bulldog (short coat) · 69 mi from Warner Robins

Vance is currently located at our rescue in Georgia. An application for his adoption can be submitted at socorescue.com (no need to register or login). Questions about Vance and/or our adoption policy should be sent to socorescue8@gmail.com; please do not call the Rescue's number.
Back in August of 2023, a stray Bulldog wandered onto our property on Vance Rd. We have no idea where he came from or how he ended up at our rescue, and a search for his owner proved to be futile. While Vance looked big and scary, and having a few scars on his face, he's proven to be a very friendly dog.
Read more about Vance
Vance has been with us for a while due to the slow process in finding bigger dogs a new home. But we've decided to really push for his opportunity to find a new home as he more than deserves that. He is very friendly towards people and hasn't shown any aggressive behavior towards other dogs, but we'd still require a "meet-and-greet" with any dog that he'll share a home with. Over the past few months, Vance has spent time living in the home of Scott Bennett and had done exceptionally well. He's accustomed to staying in a crate and hasn't relieved himself while in it.
Since coming to our rescue, Vance has been kept up to date on all of his annual vaccinations, de-wormings and monthly preventatives. He He did test positive for heartworms and is currently undergoing treatments. Once that has been completed, he will be ready to find his new home. While Vance has shown some house training skills, he may need additional training once in a new home. Vance has also already been microchipped

4. Luna
Adult (2 years 11 months) · Female · Chihuahua / Mixed (short coat) · 69 mi from Warner Robins

Luna will be transported to New Jersey and available for adoption at the Tractor Supply in Ringoes over the Nov. 1-15 weekend. An application for Luna's adoption can be submitted at socorescue.com O(no need to register or login). Questions about Luna and/or our adoption policy should be sent to socorescue8@gmail.com; please do not call the Rescue's number.
Read more about Luna
Luna was found huddled under a car after apparently being hit by another vehicle. While she was able to avoid having any broken bones, the accident did cause the fur and skin covering her entire tail, from the tip of it all the way up to her torso, to be ripped off, leaving the bone exposed. The only option was to have her entire tail amputated. Luna has been at a foster home during her recovery period and doing exceptionally well.
Despite her injuries, Luna is a very affectionate and friendly little girl. She loves to be held and finds great comfort from curling up in a lap. She's instantly friends with everyone she meets as is well-socialized towards people. She would growl softly at other dogs when she first arrived, but has since shown to be friendly towards other dogs, more so with larger dogs than other smaller ones.
In addition to her surgery, Luna has also now been spay, received an update on all of her annual vaccinations and de-wormings and kept current with her flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. She also tested negative for heartworms. While Luna has displayed having some house training, she may need a refresher course once in a new home.

5. Harper
Puppy (4 months 10 days) · Female · Rat Terrier / Mixed (short coat) · 97 mi from Warner Robins

Harper, Henry and Harley are 15-week-old puppies that are terrier mixes. Their current weights are about 10 lbs. and are expected to reach 15-20 lbs. in adulthood. These pups are still just babies that love to have fun running and playing with the other dogs in their foster home. They are high energy youngsters and would love to have a fenced yard and a playmate to use up some of that puppy energy. The puppies enjoy playing with the larger adult dogs in their foster home. They try to be playful with the foster family cat when they have an opportunity. These pups love to be lap dogs after they burn off their energy playing together. They are very smart and are doing great with their house-training, but they will still need more attention in a home of their own to complete their training. Overall, these puppies are adorable and very lovable dogs who love to play with someone and snuggle up in your arms. 7. Stoney
Adult (2 years 11 months) · Male · Rat Terrier (short coat) · 97 mi from Warner Robins

Found as a stray in Georgia, 3-year-old Stoney's past is a bit of a mystery, but one thing is for certain: he is a gentle, sweet soul who is ready to give and receive all the love in the world.
Read more about Stoney
Stoney doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body. He adores human attention and wants nothing more than to feel safe and loved. Unlike many typical vocal terriers, Stoney is remarkably quiet! He rarely barks, only occasionally letting out a few woofs at something outside the fence. He gets along with dogs his own size (he weighs nearly 11 lbs.) but does not play with them other than an occasional short game of chase in the yard. Larger dogs make him feel a bit intimidated, so he does best with canine pals near his size. He has not been cat-tested yet.
Stoney's house-training is coming along well. He is still learning his routine and has the occasional accident—mainly first thing in the morning—so a patient adopter who can keep him on a steady schedule will help him cross the finish line. Coming from a stray life, household and outdoor sounds can be overwhelming for him. Loud appliances like vacuum cleaners or hair dryers or even quieter sounds like dinner cooking on the stove can send him cowering into a corner. However, the longer he resides in a home environment and realizes he's safe, the more his confidence is improving. At night, he sleeps quietly in his crate in his foster parent's bedroom, not making a peep until the humans are ready to rise and shine!
Stoney walks nicely on a leash, but if he encounters strange people, unfamiliar dogs, moving cars, or sudden noises, his instinct is to "freeze." Once the perceived danger passes, he resumes walking. He walks right along on quiet nature trails or open fields where he can sniff and explore without the hustle and bustle of traffic, humans, or other dogs.
Because Stoney is so sensitive to noises, he is looking for a gentle, predictable environment in a quiet suburban neighborhood or rural setting with a fenced area for him to feel secure. His ideal home is adult-only (or one with older, calm teenagers) with a parent or parents who are home much of the time to continue building his confidence. Fast-moving, noisy young children would be too overwhelming for him.
Stoney needs an adopter who understands that shy dogs take a little time to bloom. With patience, gentle encouragement, and a safe space, Stoney will prove to be the most loyal, loving companion you could ever ask for. Is Stoney the gentle buddy you've been searching for? See more photos of Stoney at www.imageevent.com/newrattitude/stoney , then apply to adopt him today!

9. Hannah
Puppy (3 months 28 days) · Female · Rat Terrier / Mixed (short coat) · 97 mi from Warner Robins

Hannah is a four-month-old rat terrier mix, sibling to Hayden, Henry, Harley, and Harper. She currently weighs about 10 lbs. and is expected to reach 15-20 lbs. in adulthood.
Hannah is a full-on puppy in all the best ways: high energy, inquisitive, and always looking for her next adventure (or her next favorite chew toy!). Like many young pups, she can still be a little nervous when meeting new people for the first time. Once she knows she's safe, her sweet, affectionate side comes right out. After a fun round of puppy antics, she loves nothing more than curling up close for a long cuddle.
Hannah's wishlist for her forever family:
Read more about Hannah
A playmate: Hannah is accustomed to having a furry companion to play, wrestle, and snuggle with. Ideally, her forever home will have another friendly, playful dog to be her companion and teach her good doggy manners.
Big kids only: To prevent accidental drops or trips—and to manage normal puppy mouthiness/nipping—she needs a home without young children.
Training and routine: Hannah is not yet house-trained, but she is making great progress when taken out frequently. Plus, she's already a superstar at night and sleeps quietly in her crate all night long!
Hannah is ready to bring energy, warmth, and lots of puppy love to her new home! If you're looking for a new addition to your family and prepared to do a little bit of work for a huge return, apply to adopt today!

10. Hayden
Puppy (4 months 1 day) · Female · Rat Terrier / Mixed (short coat) · 97 mi from Warner Robins

Hayden is a four-month-old rat terrier mix, sibling to Hannah, Henry, Harley, and Harper. She currently weighs about 10 lbs. and is expected to reach 15-20 lbs in adulthood. This long-legged girl is a funny, high-energy puppy with legs made for leaping—and yes, she can jump very high!
Read more about Hayden
Hayden is a classic pup: mischievous, endlessly curious, and currently under the impression that the whole world was made for her to chew on. But what truly sets Hayden apart is her comedic timing. When she gets caught in puppy mischief, she immediately pops into a perfect, polite "sit" and hits you with the ultimate sweet "Who, me? I was just sitting here being an angel!" look. She can be a bit nervous when meeting new people at first, but once she warms up and burns off her zoomies, she turns into a total sweetheart who loves to cuddle.
Her foster mom has been working on her crate-training and house-training, but she is a baby so she still has a ways to go.
Hayden's wish list for her forever home:
- A friend to play with: Having a playful canine sibling is ideal to help teach her manners, burn off energy, and give her a cozy buddy to cuddle with.
- Patient humans who are around more often than not: She is not yet house trained, though she is doing very well when let out frequently on a consistent schedule. She needs potty breaks every few hours, so she would not be happy left alone 8+ hours a day.
- Big kids only: Due to her small size and typical puppy nipping habits, a home without young children is required to keep both Hayden and the kids safe from accidental drops or sharp puppy teeth.

11. Midgie
Young (3 years 5 months) · Female · Terrier / Boxer / Mixed (short coat) · 94 mi from Warner Robins

Midgie needs an active family with lots of outdoor time; hiking, running, swimming, or playing soccer. She loves them all!
If you don’t like a dog that wants to be in your lap, wrap her ‘arms’ arms around you tightly, and give you kisses… then Midgie isn’t for you. If you want that kind of love from a dog, then please keep reading.
Read more about Midgie
Miss Midgie is a super loving and energetic girl. She’s a total “people dog” and is great with kids. It seems like she could get by in life with just two things… a person to hug and kiss, and her herding ball. This girl’s got energy, but is fine entertaining herself with her beloved herding ball for hours. She’s good with other dogs that are not aggressive – she’s up for making new friends, but wont back down if another dog is not so nice to her.
Midgie is GREAT on a leash (no work went into this on her foster family’s part – all her nature). Midgie’s perfect forever family is one that will take her for walks and have a fenced yard (or keep an close eye on her if she’s off leash in the yard) – her youthful curiosity and ability to jump higher than the bionic woman mean that she sometimes makes her own decision to go exploring if left unattended. Again – a higher fence, zip line, or dog run (along with her beloved herding ball) have worked wonders to keep her safe while we’ve fostered her.
This smart and loving girl wants to be at the top of your consideration list - in return, she’ll be your best friend for life!

Weight: 40lbs
Temperament: Gets along with older sturdy kids, submissive male dogs

Housebroken and crate-trained
Great at the vet and loves meeting people outside

Read more about Norma Jean
Her Personality:
Norma Jean is an affectionate girl who loves her people of all ages. She’s also a devoted, watchful companion who takes her role at home seriously. She's protective of her home and when strangers arrive, she can be cautious about welcoming them inside and bark. She’s been working with a trainer to learn that, as a little dog, she doesn’t have to be the big boss, and she’s making great progress. She does great when meeting people outside. Her new family will need to keep up that training.
With Other Dogs:
Norma Jean enjoys being around other dogs. She likes to meet dogs and take a short walk outside before being thrown in the backyard with them. She has a confident personality and knows her boundaries, so she’s best matched with playful, easygoing dogs whose personalities complement hers—or dogs who are happy to give her space. She responds well to cues from other dogs and has lived with dogs ranging in size from 8-80 pounds. Like many dogs, she prefers to eat separately so she can eat at her own pace. She has shown no resource guarding with humans.
Her Ideal Home:
A home with teens and adults, where everyone can be mindful of doors and entrances
A calm, consistent family committed to continuing her training
Daily exercise, playtime, and plenty of tennis-ball adventures!
Norma Jean needs a foster or adopter as soon as possible. She has so much love and personality to share. She’s looking for a foster or forever home where she can continue her training, enjoy her favorite activities, and be loved for the amazing dog she is.

He’s very sweet and easy going but still a very strong dominant type dog. We would prefer someone with experience with this breed but will consider if they’ll sign up for training. Amazingly smart and dedicated dogs as long as well socialized and time is spent with them.
We're saying only older, sturdy kids because he is so large and strong.

19. Nathan
Adult (4 years) · Male · Rat Terrier / Dachshund / Mixed (short coat) · 97 mi from Warner Robins

Say hello to Nathan! He's a 4-year-old rat terrier/Dachshund mix who found himself wandering alone in rural Virginia. Some kind animal control folks picked him up and he ended up with New Rattitude. Nathan is being fostered in a boarding, daycare, and training facility (with access to a room just for the little dogs).
When given his space, Nathan is a comical, friendly, happy boy. He will throw balls for himself, even sometimes picking them up in his front legs to toss. He enjoys chew bones and can entertain himself for long periods of time.
Read more about Nathan
He's cute as a button too, with a rat terrier head and Dachshund body. He's named after the hotdogs since he looks like a little sausage. At 17 lbs,, Nathan is capable and scrappy. He walks on a leash and enjoys running in the fenced yards. He learned the dog door quickly, and since getting neutered, has not had accidents in the house. We recommend treating Nathan like a puppy when you first get him home and take him out frequently.
Nathan needs his space, and isn't thrilled when other dogs try to take his things. Nathan is not a good fit for a home with larger dogs as he is grumpy about his space, food, and toys, and will start things he cannot finish with bigger dogs. Nathan can be a little snippy with people and his toys as well. He has learned "Give" and "Leave it" while in his foster home, and will do so when a grown up tells him. However, small children are probably not going to enjoy time with him. If they try to take Nathan's things, he will show them the error of their ways.
If you are looking for a cute, smart, funny dog and don't have lots of other animals or kids in your home, Nathan just might be your guy!

20. Toefoo
Adult (3 years 11 months) · Female · Rat Terrier (short coat) · 97 mi from Warner Robins

Meet Toefoo! She's a 4-year-old purebred rat terrier who found herself in New Rattitude's care after she decided the other dog in her home was not welcome. Toefoo came to us VERY obese. While in her foster home, she has had controlled meals and lots of outside time with exercise. She has already lost several pounds and feels so much better for it. She is now 22 lbs., but is hoping to get to under 20 lbs.
Read more about Toefoo
Toefoo gets along fine with the dogs in her foster home, and there are a lot of them. She is being fostered at a boarding, daycare, and training facility and every day brings a new group of friends. She is crate-trained, and has her meals in her crate. She sleeps in her crate overnight, but would be fine sleeping with you, or in a dog bed once she is adopted.
Toefoo is house-trained and has mastered the dog door quickly. She goes in and out throughout the day to do her business. When she first got to her foster home she was not leash trained. With persistence and patience she has learned that the leash is not a bad thing and that she gets to go with her people if she has it on.
We don't think Toefoo was out in the world much before coming to her foster home. If you want her to take long walks and visit places with you, you will need to give her time to learn about being out and about. She gets spooked and will try to run away, but once she knows you've got her back, she settles down.
Toefoo is very affectionate with the people she knows and is super happy to see you. She's got a full-body wag and big smile. Could she be your newest family member? More images of Toefoo are available in her album: https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/toefoo

Do you have room in your heart for a lovebug who deserves a second chance at happiness? 12 year-old Ellie came from an owner surrender when her main caretaker died suddenly and his spouse was not able to care for her. Ellie is quite lean and muscular at 15 lbs., and is fit and active! She has come such a long way since coming into her foster home -- she was not used to living with other dogs and she now joyfully zooms around the backyard with her foster siblings, even keeping pace with the youngest 1-year-old pup!

Ellie is a good watchdog, but sometimes has to be reminded to stop barking. She is house-trained when kept on a schedule. Since life has been hard for Ellie, she craves attention and is looking for a home with someone who is retired or works from home, and perhaps a canine companion too! She can be an escape artist and will need a very secure fenced yard. Ellie is very sweet and loving and really deserves a comfy home and steady companionship. Over a weekend in late Sept of 2026, Baxter and four other small dogs (two being Poodles and a Yorkie) were found as strays along a dirt road in a very rural area of Georgia. A sixth small dog, breed unknown, was also found deceased on the side of this road. All of the dogs were extremely matted, appeared to have suffered from long-term neglect and were very terrified. Immediately upon their arrival, they were sent to a local groomer who had to completely shave them down to remove all of the matted fur. We can only assume that these dogs had been abandoned by a breeder within that area.
Due to space limitations at SoCo and to allow him to decompress, the groomer offered to foster Baxter and his four companions for a couple of weeks. During that time, Baxter was able to recover from his ordeal. He's since also proven to be very friendly and affectionate towards people, despite the obvious neglect by his former owner, and also gets along great with other dogs. Baxter deserves a home that will give him ample amounts of love, proper care (including regular grooming) and some patience while he continues to learn that being a dog means much more than just being a source of income.
We've now had Baxter neutered and renewed his annual vaccinations and de-wormings. He's also been started on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. His recent vet examination resulted in a negative test results for heartworms. Baxter will most likely need further house and leash training once in a new home. Baxter has already been microchipped as well

For a couple of days, we noticed a very young puppy running loose and just outside of our dog kennels. He apparently heard our dogs barking and was trying to find safety within our rescue, but would run away whenever we tried to lure him to us. We ended up setting a trap and was able to catch Smith within a day's time. And, boy, was he ever happy to see us as he was all tail wags and excited when we took him from the trap. About a week after his capture, we found his sister, Kathy, roaming free in the same spot just below the rescue.
Smith quickly displayed his very friendly, playful personality to us. He shows us everyday just how happy he is that we found him and is always eager to give us kisses and snuggle up in our arms. While we're not really sure of his breed mix, we do know that he'll add lots of love to his new family
Smith has received 2 of 3 of his first year "puppy" vaccines, been de-wormed on multiple occasions and started on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. He's still too young to receive his rabies vaccine, which should be obtained after he reaches 12 weeks of age. His adopter must agree on having Smith neutered once he reaches 6 months old and provide verification of such to our rescue.

Kathy was found as a stray that had apparently been abandoned just below SoCo Rescue. While she was found all alone, we had actually found what appears to be her brother (Smith) a week earlier in the same place and had to set a trap to catch him. Kathy was very thin and hungry when found as her time as a stray had already begun to take its toll on her small body.
We're not exactly sure of Kathy's breed mix but think that she'll end up being a mid-sized dog once fully grown. What we do know is that she's already well-socialized towards people and other pups and has a great personality. She loves to snuggle and receive attention from our staff. Kathy should make a great addition into a home that is seeking a mid-sized dog and can give her plenty of room to run and play
Kathy has already received 2 of 3 of her first year puppy vaccines. She's still a little too young to receive her rabies vaccine, which should be administered after she reaches 12 weeks of age. Kathy's adopter must agree to having her spay once she reaches 6 months old and provide SoCo Rescue with verification of such. Kathy will require all of her basic training.

HERE'S WHAT HER FOSTER MOM HAS TO SAY!
Meet TJ! Bubbly, playful, and full of sass one minute, then happily curled up in your lap the next. She’s sweet, snuggly, and always ready for fun. She does the cutest prancing when she wants to come and sit in your lap.
Read more about Tj
She loves playing with other dogs and kids. She may occasionally decide that someone else’s toy looks better than hers and walk away with it, doing a little prancing along the way, but she’ll definitely steal your heart!
And this girl is SMART! Like, “Wait, how did you figure that out already?” smart. She picks up new things within minutes and is eager to learn. She’s young, curious, and ready to soak up everything her person is willing to teach her.
Poppi is truly all love in a tiny package. She’s sweet and sassy, playful and peaceful, silly and snuggly, basically, the whole package.
Her rescue story….
TJ was found as a stray puppy by a local family. She was very thin, scared and in need of help. TJ was brought to SoCo Rescue after a search for her possible owner yielded no positive results.
It didn't take long for TJ to show us her true personality. She's very active, playful and well-socialized towards both people and other pups. She loves "talking" to us, letting us know when she's hungry, wants playtime or just a belly rub. There's no doubt that TJ will fit rather nicely into just about any home situation.
We've just started TJ on her regiment of de-wormings and vaccinations. She has already received 1 of 3 of her first year puppy vaccines. TJ's adopter must agree to having her spay once she reaches 6 months old and provide SoCo Rescue with verification of such. TJ will require all of her basic training.
Per our adoption policy, TJ can be pre-adopted, but will not be released to her new home until a week after receiving her second vaccine ( Estimated release date: Nov. 9).

We were recently made aware of a stray female dog that had been roaming a neighboring city. This dog would frequent a particular house as the family that lived there would provide her food, water and even shelter during bad weather. This girl has also been very elusive, preventing the family from catching her. Over the past year, this girl has now produced two litters, the latest being our "D" litter pups. SoCo Rescue is going to assist with capturing this girl and having her spay to prevent any further litters.
Demy is undoubtedly the more rambunctious pup of this litter, in fact, you can see her mischievousness in her eyes. At the same time, she is also a very affectionate girl who will bring a lot happiness into your life. She loves playing with her siblings so a home with another dog would be great for Demy.

Adopting a dog in Warner Robins
Most rescues ask you to fill in an application, meet the dog, and pay an adoption fee that usually covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip. Many are foster-based, so you'll often meet your dog in a volunteer's home rather than a shelter.
Senior dogs are often the calmest companions and the slowest to find homes. If you'd like a settled, affectionate dog, ask the rescues about their older residents.
Puppies go quickly, so if you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon. Ask how big they're expected to grow, and plan for plenty of house-training and training in the first few months.
