Paisley came into a pound in MS pregnant. All her puppies were weaned and adopted. Paisley was heartworm positive but she has been treated successfully and now she's ready to travel and find a family of her own. Paisley is crate trained, leash trained and appears to be potty trained. She loves puppies and gets along with other dogs. But if the other dog is too pushy she will put them in their place with a "leave me be" snarl. Paisley can be timid at first but warms up quickly and LOVES people and attention. She has been cat tested and is friendly.

Our dogs come from various situations, such as kill shelters, owner surrenders, or as strays. It is likely both parents were mixed breeds as well. Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation. For information on adoption fees, procedures, or FAQs, visit our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com. Why adopt an adult dog in New Bedford
An adult dog's personality is fully formed, so the rescue can tell you how they are with people, other pets and busy households. Many have lived in foster homes and are already house-trained.
Grown dogs need less supervision than puppies and often know the basics, like sitting and walking on a leash, which suits people who work or have young children.
