She can be hesitant and bark when meeting unfamiliar people, then warms up.Polly is ready for daily walks, continued learning, and plenty of couch cuddles with a family of her own. This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.) To adopt or learn more about this dog, you must complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com. PLEASE READ: • If a dog or puppy is listed, they are currently available for adoption. However, they may already be pending an adoption, and their profile may not yet reflect this. • All information is accurate to the best of our knowledge as of the posting date. • Unless explicitly stated, Sandy Paws Rescue does not guarantee the breed of any dog. Many of our dogs are mixed breeds, often with pit bull-type genetics, resulting in a wide variety of physical traits and temperaments. Our dogs come from various situations, such as kill shelters, owner surrenders, or as strays. It is likely both parents were mixed breeds as well. Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation. For information on adoption fees, procedures, or FAQs, visit our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com. Sporty has been a rockstar with the kids he’s met, patiently welcoming their hugs and kisses! This gentle giant is even great with cats—he completely ignores them. Sporty LOVES other dogs, reading their cues well and taking comfort from their company. He would be thrilled to have a canine sibling in his new home to look up to as he gains confidence.Sporty is a smart boy and a quick learner. While Sporty doesn’t demand a ton of exercise, his favorite thing is going on long walks or runs with his trusted people. He would make an amazing walking or hiking buddy, with his quiet endurance and calm presence. If you're looking for a big, loyal, low-drama companion who will grow more devoted with every passing day, Sporty just might be your guy. Why adopt an adult dog in Taunton
An adult dog's personality is fully formed, so the rescue can tell you how they are with people, other pets and busy households. Many have lived in foster homes and are already house-trained.
Grown dogs need less supervision than puppies and often know the basics, like sitting and walking on a leash, which suits people who work or have young children.
