13. Blue

Adult · Male · Collie (long coat)

Meet Blue!
Blue is a handsome, happy-go-lucky young man who is almost three years old and ready to find his perfect home! Recently neutered, this big boy is full of energy, affection, and personality. He needs to gain a little weight, but once he fills out, he’ll be an impressive 75+ pounds of Collie charm!
Blue loves people, enjoys children, and gets along well with other dogs. He’s an enthusiastic guy who is still learning his manners, so he’ll need a family willing to continue his training and help him become the best boy he can be. He can be a little mouthy during play and sometimes gets carried away with excited grabbing, but he has plenty of love to give!
Blue has a strong prey drive and gets very excited when he spots squirrels, so a home with appropriate supervision around small animals is important.
This fun-loving boy is discovering the joys of being a dog! Toys seem to be a relatively new adventure, and Blue loves them all.

Read more about Blue

Pig ears are another favorite when he’s in the mood for a good chew. He’s made wonderful progress with leash walking and isn’t bothered by cars, bikes, or motorcycles. People, however, are VERY exciting! Blue loves seeing everyone and may announce his enthusiasm with an enthusiastic bark.
Despite his exuberance on walks, Blue is calm and friendly when visiting public places and has enjoyed several successful outings to local businesses. He also rides well in the car, although he needs to be safely restrained because he’d much rather climb up front to be closer to his foster mom! He’s crate-trained, but he’s also well-behaved in the house and is trusted to sleep and stay home without being crated.
Blue is a big, lovable bundle of potential! He’ll thrive with a family ready to provide consistent training, appropriate outlets for his energy, and plenty of opportunities to explore the world with his people. In return, you’ll get a friendly, playful companion who brings a whole lot of joy wherever he goes.

28. Duchess

Adult · Female · Collie (long coat)

Dutchess is an incredibly sweet, gentle girl with a wonderful balance of playful energy and calm companionship. She loves spending time with people, happily soaking up pets and affection, and she’s just as content relaxing by your side as she is joining in the fun. We estimate her to be about 8 years old.
One of Duchess’s favorite things is food! She has an excellent appetite, eats enthusiastically, and seems to have a very high metabolism. Mealtime is definitely one of the highlights of her day.
When she’s with other dogs, Duchess enjoys running and playing. Most of the time she’s calm and mellow, but every so often she’ll surprise you by springing into the air with all four feet off the ground before taking off in pursuit of her playmates.

Read more about Duchess

That playful burst of excitement is always fun to watch and perfectly complements her otherwise easygoing personality.
Duchess takes cues from the other dogs around her but also has an independent streak. Sometimes she’ll head outside the moment you ask, while other times she’ll decide she’d rather stay put. However, once you clip on a leash, she walks gently and compliantly wherever you lead her—even if it wasn’t the direction she originally wanted to go.
Thunderstorms can still make Duchess a little uneasy, but she’s making steady progress and continues to gain confidence.
She’s also a dream to groom. Duchess patiently sits while being brushed and seems to enjoy the attention, making grooming sessions easy and relaxing for everyone involved.
Overall, Duchess is a loving, adaptable dog who would fit well with a family looking for a companion that can switch effortlessly between playful adventures and quiet cuddle time. Her sweet nature, gentle manners, and affectionate personality make her a joy to have around.

Handsome, playful, and full of personality, Zane is a young boy who's ready to find a family of his own!
Zane loves to run and show off his joyful zoomies around the yard. He's an active, fun-loving dog who enjoys playtime and would love a home where he can stretch his legs and be part of the family's adventures.
When it comes to mealtime, Zane is a dream—he's a great eater with no food issues. He's also crate trained, housebroken, and comes when called, making him an easy companion to have in the home.
