This little girl was left at a short-staffed, over-crowded shelter and was on the euthanasia list. Because she was pregnant, staff made a hard push to get her out as they could not safely deliver her pups in the shelter. She is now in a foster home at AFH where she can deliver her pups in a warm, loving home. This sweet girl is friendly, loving and calm. She is OK with other dogs and a bit shy, but warms up quickly. Foxy is a happy, eager-to-please boy who wants to do the right thing. He comes when called, is doing well on the leash, and seems to be no stranger to the comforts of home.

Meet Bear! Bear’s story started out rough. He and his sister, Shasta, were taken in by Animal Control as strays, emaciated and with every bone showing. Thankfully, those hard days are behind him, and Bear is now safe in his AFH foster home, where he’s getting the love, care, and nourishment he deserves. This handsome boy is very sweet boy and has bounced back beautifully! Bear is playful, loving, and easygoing, with a gentle personality that is beginning to shine more each day. He was a bit shy at first but warmed up to people by the end of his first adoption event. He loved all the attention he got from all the children who came to visit his puppy pen! So far, Bear has been a quiet, laid-back little guy who seems happy to take life one day at a time.

Frank has been through more than most dogs ever should—but you would never know it from his happy, loving personality. Frank was found as a puppy in March 2024 with a huge abscess on his head and an orbital fracture. After receiving the medical care he needed, he returned to his foster home to recover. Unfortunately, Frank’s bad luck continued when he was attacked by another dog. Once again, he healed beautifully, proving just how resilient this sweet boy is. Today, Frank is a big, handsome boy weighing around 60 pounds. Despite his size, Frank is a gentle, good-natured guy with an absolutely wonderful personality. Frank is playful, affectionate, calm, and incredibly sweet. He loves people and is great with other dogs. He’s also housetrained, making him an easy and enjoyable companion. Frank is ready for the forever home he has been waiting for. Could that be you?

She is looking for a patient family that will help her feel safe with new people and surroundings. Stella has two favorite talents: catching treats in midair like a pro and turning any pool into her very own splash zone! Whether she’s showing off her treat-catching skills or enjoying a little water play, she’s sure to keep you smiling. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and had integrated well with the pack in her foster home. She adores kids. She is sweet, gentle and seeks them out ofr pets. Stella is also a polite girl who loves attention without jumping all over you—she’s gentle, affectionate, and happy just being part of the family.

Sparky is a 47-pound Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix with a heart as big as his personality! This happy-go-lucky, goofy boy is full of love and affection and is ready to find the family he can spend forever with. Sparky is the kind of dog who makes everyone smile. He is sweet, affectionate, playful, and absolutely loves cuddles. His favorite place may just be right beside his person, soaking up attention and giving plenty of love in return. He’s also wonderfully well-mannered! Sparky is potty trained, crate trained, sleeps through the night, and walks nicely on a leash. He is wonderful with kids, too, making him a fantastic potential family companion.

Zorro’s story didn’t get off to the best start. He and his siblings came from an overcrowded, dirty home where they weren’t getting the care they needed. Thankfully, those days are behind them! With proper medical care, good food, and a little love, these pups have blossomed into happy, well-adjusted youngsters, and Zorro just keeps getting more handsome by the day! This sweet boy has so much going for him. Zorro is smart, happy, and wonderfully laid-back, making him a lovely companion for a family looking for a pup with a great personality. He gets along beautifully with all the dogs he meets, enjoys children, and is already doing very well on a leash.
