Large Dogs for Adoption in Appleton, WI: 24 Big Dogs Looking for a Home

Hershey came from a hoarding situation with approximately 30 other dogs. That means the world as most of us know it is still pretty new to him. He's missed out on a lot of the things other dogs take for granted. Basic training, confidence, socialization, and learning how to navigate life in a home are all things he'll need help with.

But here's what we're already seeing... Hershey WANTS to learn!

In the short time he's been with us, we've seen that spark. That curiosity. That little bit of drive that tells us he's ready to figure this whole world out. He just needs someone willing to show him the way.

Hershey isn't a finished product. He's a work in progress, and that's okay! He'll need patience, consistency, encouragement, and someone who understands that confidence isn't built overnight.

But imagine being the person who gets to watch him discover all the things he's been missing. The first time he realizes he can do something new. The first time he tackles something that once scared him. The first time he truly believes in himself.

That's the magic of giving a dog like Hershey a chance.

He has so much potential, and we cannot wait to see what he becomes with a little love, a lot of patience, and someone in his corner.

Could you be Hershey's person?

King isn’t shy about showing affection. His favorite way to say “I love you” is by jumping up to give you a big hug! He’s still working on his manners as he’s used to a shelter setting, so he would thrive with an adopter committed to continuing his training and helping him learn. We have learned that King makes great progress all on his own when he feels safe and loved. When he’s not busy getting love, King loves spending time with other dogs and running around in a fenced-in yard. He would love a family who can keep up with his playful side while giving him all the love, patience, and guidance he deserves.

King has so much love to give and the sweetest smile to share. All he needs now is someone to show him what it means to be part of a family forever!
