Buck is a handsome puppy that is always full of energy as most puppies are. He is always excited to see you or meet new dogs. He loves to go on walks and runs which is a great way to tire him out. If you looked up the word "love" in the dictionary. you would see a picture of Buck. Buck is very much a puppy still and needs training. However, with some patience and consistent training, he will be the best boy ever. He is good on a leash so far and doing well with crate training. 6. Mina
Puppy (8 months) · Female · Pit Bull Terrier / Shepherd / Mixed (medium coat) · 93 mi from Tucson

MEET MINA!!!
Mina is a sweet and loving 8-month-old puppy with so much affection to give! She loves sharing kisses, cuddling with her people, and following them around the house. When she gets especially excited to see someone, she may become a little jumpy, but she is still young and learning polite greetings.
Read more about Mina
Mina loves playing with other dogs and would likely enjoy having a canine companion in her new home. She enjoys toys, but soccer balls are her favorite! She will also fetch smaller toy balls and surprise you with random bursts of adorable zoomies. Mina appears to enjoy water, especially sprinklers and the hose, and may even discover that she likes swimming someday.
Mina spent much of her early life confined to a crate, so being crated is understandably difficult for her. She is now discovering how wonderful it is to explore, exercise, play, and simply enjoy being a puppy. Her future family should be prepared to patiently help her build confidence and create positive associations with being safely left alone. Mina deserves a loving home with the time, patience, and energy to help her continue learning and growing. In return, she will bring her family endless affection, joyful playtime, and plenty of puppy kisses!

Meet Willy Willy is an adorable young Rottweiler who came to us from MCACC, and this sweet boy is ready to find his forever family! After rescuing Willie from the shelter, he went right into a foster home where we learned that Willy had all the typical puppy behaviors. He enjoyed being a little naughty, chewing on things he shouldn't, and had a bit of separation anxiety. Once Willy is finished with training, he will be ready for his forever home.Willie is estimated to be between 7-10 months old.

If you are interested in adopting one of our fun loving not so rotten rotties, you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire that will allows us to get to know you better and to make sure the dog you are looking at is a good fit for your family and lifestyle. You can access our questionnaire by going to our website, www.rottenrottie.com click on the forms tab, fill out the questionnaire and submit it online. After we review your answers, if we feel that the dog that you are interested in, is not a good fit for you and your family, we may recommend a different rottweiler companion. After we determine which Rottweiler(s) is the best for you, we will set up a time so that you can meet him or her at their house, where they will feel most comfortable and act as they normally do. We will require a home check to make sure the dog is going to a good home. An adoption contract will be signed to finalize the adoption and we do ask for a rehoming fee of $500 for most adults, $350 for most of our seniors 6 years and above for any rottweiler mix of any age (except puppies) . Our fees for puppies fluctuate depending on how much we had to invest into them or their litter, and weather they are purebred or a mix. These funds are necessary so that our organization may continue to rehome rottweilers. ALL of our dogs are sterilized, fully vaccinated and microchipped, heartworm tested negative and come with a collar and a leash. We have also addressed any injury or illness that they had when they came to us, or received in foster care. These problems will be disclosed to the adopter prior to adoption. Please be advised that in almost all cases we will not adopt our dogs to folks who live in different states. On rare occasion, if we feel that it is a PERFECT for both you and the dog, we sometimes will break that rule for our neighbors who live in Las Vegas. If you live in Vegas and would like us to consider you, please fill out an application.

9. Valentino
Puppy (6 months) · Male · Boxer / Mastiff / Mixed (short coat) · 93 mi from Tucson

Meet Valentino! V
alentino is a beautiful boy with a big spirit. He's still very young, but you can tell his life started out hard. When he first came to his foster home he was almost feral, and he's still very timid and skittish around people. What makes Valentino special is how far he's come, and how much he wants to keep going. He has made a lot of progress. He now takes treats by hand, goes outside with the other dogs when it's time, and sometimes lets you sit quietly next to him and pet him. He has even started coming up to people on his own to give a few quick toe or finger kisses before running back to his favorite hidey hole. Every week he gets a little more confident and lets more of his personality show. Around other dogs and animals, Valentino is friendly and wonderful, and he turns into a big goofy boy. During playtime he rolls onto his back and lets his silly side out. He also has a sweet habit of quietly stealing toys, along with his people's clothes and shoes, and carrying them back to his favorite hiding spot. Wanting his people's things close by is a really good sign of how much he's growing. He hasn't played with toys with people yet, but you can tell he wants to badly. He just needs a little more courage first. Valentino needs a patient, understanding person who will keep giving him the time and space he needs to build his confidence. He'll learn to trust at his own pace. If you're willing to go slow, you'll get to watch a shy, cautious pup turn into the happy, goofy boy he's meant to be.

10. Cosmo
Puppy (8 months) · Female · Boxer / Staffordshire Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat) · 93 mi from Tucson

MEET COSMO!!!
Read more about Cosmo
Cosmo is the sweetest, happiest little bundle of wiggles you'll ever meet! This playful pup loves people and is always ready to join in on the fun. She is great with kids and incredibly interactive. She's often the life of the party, turning playtime with her foster siblings into full-blown puppy parties. When she's not busy entertaining her friends, Cosmo can usually be found happily chewing on her favorite toys, soaking up belly rubs, or curling up for cozy lap snuggles. She has a loving, affectionate personality and is always ready to share her joy with the people she loves. Cosmo does have a strong personality when it comes to other female dogs. Because of this, her adopters will need to be thoughtful about dog introductions and interactions, and she may do best as the only female dog in the home or with carefully selected canine companions. This is an important part of getting to know Cosmo, but it doesn't take away from what a wonderful, affectionate, and fun-loving dog she is with her people. One thing you'll never have to worry about is Cosmo's appetite! She absolutely loves mealtime and, the moment breakfast is finished, she's convinced she's ready for seconds... and thirds. Her enthusiasm for food is matched only by her enthusiasm for life. If you're looking for a social, playful, and incredibly affectionate companion who will keep you smiling every day, Cosmo may be the perfect addition to your family. With the right home and thoughtful management around other dogs, this lovable girl has so much happiness and affection to give.

Adopting a puppy in Tucson
Puppies usually go to their new homes from about eight weeks old, once they're weaned and have had their first vaccinations. Most rescues spay or neuter them before adoption, or include it in the fee.
Ask the rescue how big the puppy is expected to grow and which breeds they think are in the mix, so you can plan for the dog they'll become.
Puppies need a lot of your time: house-training, a few minutes of training every day, several small meals, and someone home often enough to let them out. A puppy class is a good way to start.
