Young · Male · Rottweiler

This handsome boy is Storm. In July 2026, we rescued him from Casa Grande Animal Care, where this gorgeous boy sat for over a month after being found as a stray. We believe he is around 1 year old.Initially, storm has took a little time to warm up, but with each passing day, he became more and more curious and courageous. Now he can't get enough attention. He wants nothing more than to be right by your side. He is highly food motivated and will warm up to you in no time if you have his favorite treat on hand! He goes on our weekly pack walk does great. He has met other dogs and did very well with them.

He even plays with a little frenchy in his foster home very well. We are learning more about Storm every day, but one thing is certain: he is going to make a wonderful companion. 3. Gino
Adult · Male · Rottweiler

Meet Gino!Gino is a big, goofy boy weighing in at 112 pounds! He wants nothing more than to nuzzle his face into your lap to receive all the pets and love you can give. His temperament is sweet and docile, and he is a smart boy with just a fun dash of classic Rottie stubbornness. We rescued Gino off the county shelter's euthanasia list on 10/20/26. He was placed on the list because when he became overstimulated from excitement or petting, he would mount his handler. Knowing what a sweet soul he is, we were so excited when a proffessional trainer offered to foster and train him! She is working with Gino to curb this behavior and help him become the absolute best version of himself.

When we picked him up, he had a case of kennel cough, which is now almost fully resolved, as well as some nosebleeds. We have already taken him to our vet and are actively working toward getting him back into tip-top shape! 4. Zeke
Young · Male · Rottweiler

Meet Zeke! Our Newest Rotten Rottie!Zeke is an absolutely stunning young male Rottweiler. He was found as a stray and brought to Maricopa County Animal Care & Control, where he ultimately ended up on the euthanasia list. While at the shelter, he was friendly with staff and caused no issues. Even the veterinary team was able to handle him easily. If you’ve ever owned a Rottweiler, you know the vet can be a challenging environment for them. The reason he was placed on the euthanasia list was due to dog reactivity reported in the shelter lobby, as well as his finder mentioning that he reacted to other people and dogs while on leash.
Read more about Zeke
This type of behavior is common to the breed and in high-stress shelter environments. With consistency and proper training, it can be managed or overcome. When I met Zeke, I didn't see any reactivity at all. I took him out of his kennel, walked him into a play yard, and navigated past other dogs. He even sat calmly outside his kennel while we readjusted his leash with other dogs barking just a few feet away, and he didn't react. He stayed focused on me and sat patiently. However, just because I didn't witness reactivity during our initial meeting doesn't mean it never occurs. Once we get to know Zeke better and observe him across different settings, we’ll have a clearer picture of what support and environment he needs to succeed.Regardless of why he was on the euthanasia list, after meeting Zeke and seeing what a wonderful dog he is, we knew we had to save him. We don't know his exact age, but he appears to be between 1 and 2 years old. So far what we have seen from Zeke is a smart, even-tempered, affectionate, and gentle boy.As we spend more time learning his personality, likes, and dislikes, we will update his profile. At this time, we do not know how he does with other dogs, small animals, or children, but we will try to test him in as many different environments as is safe and appropriate. In addition, Zeke will be heading to training with Amanda at Paw Creek Training next week! Amanda will determine how he does with other dogs, correct any behavioral concerns she finds, and teach him all his basic obedience. We can't wait to watch Zeke become the best version of himself! We truly believe Zeke is going to make an amazing companion, and we look forward to helping him build the life he has always deserved! If you are interested in meeting Zeke or any of our adoptable dogs, please visit our website at http://www.rottenrottie.com and complete our adoption questionnaire.Adoption Process:If you are interested in adopting one of our fun-loving, "not-so-rotten" Rotties, you will be asked to fill out our adoption application which allows us to get to know you better. 6. Alexander
Adult · Male · Rottweiler

Purebred male 5 year old rottweiler. Meet Alexander. He is a purebred handsome boy who is about 5 years old. Like most Rottweilers, he does not trust all humans until they prove they are worthy. It's best to go slow and play hard to get with him. It's best that there are no children in his home. Once he trusts you, he is incredibly sweet, loves attention and wants nothing other then to hang out with his peeps. His original owner passed away and his owners wife was struggling to take care of him. He didn't get along with the other dog that lived in his home, and they sometimes had bad fights.
Read more about Alexander
He would do well as an only dog. We have rehomed Alex once and he was returned. The new owner brought in a new girl friend who got too comfortable with Alex too fast. He did end up biting her, and Alex was returned. He went and lived with our trainer for over a month. She tested him, and saw zero aggression from him. It's important to note that before he bit the girlfriend Alex lived with his new owner for 6 months and he never saw any aggression from him. Alex remained with him for 6 weeks after the bite, and during that time saw no aggression from him. Since we were not there when the bite happened and the previous owner did not witness it, we have very little information as to what could have triggered it. We believe that that girlfriend just went too fast with him and it scared him. He has been professionally trained and does very well when it comes to following commands. He is happy to show off his skills. If you are interested in adopting Alexander, please go to www.rottenrottie.com and fill out an adoption application. Our Adoption Process... 7. Mac
Young · Male · Rottweiler / Doberman Pinscher / Mixed

MEET MAC — A EXTRA LARGE ROTTIE/DOBERMAN/MASTIFF MIXOn Monday, August 23, 2026, we officially welcomed a gigantic Rottweiler/Doberman mix named Mac into the rescue.Mac’s story actually starts with a neighbor in Kingman. The neighbor remembers when Mac first moved in next door. He was just a little puppy then, visible through the chain-link fence that separated their yards. For more than two years, he watched Mac live outside — through the coldest nights and the hottest Arizona days. Then one day, Mac’s family moved away. And they left Mac behind. They never came back. His neighbor couldn’t just watch him go hungry, so he started feeding Mac and giving him water over the fence.
Read more about Mac
For the next couple of months, that’s how Mac survived. Then one day, Animal Control arrived to remove him.Imagine being Mac. Strange people suddenly enter the only yard you’ve known, chasing you with a snare. When they finally got the cold steel loop around his neck and began restraining him, Mac panicked and fought desperately to get away. That reaction landed him on the euthanasia list. But his neighbor knew the dog on that list wasn’t the Mac he knew.He went to the shelter and asked if he could take Mac himself. At first, they told him no — Mac was considered too dangerous. So he showed them pictures of this supposedly “dangerous” dog kissing him through the fence. They changed their minds. He brought Mac home with the intention of finding him a good home, but every time someone showed interest, something didn’t feel right. He worried that some people wanted this enormous, intimidating-looking dog for all the wrong reasons. So he kept saying no.Unfortunately, his own dog didn’t like Mac and would attack him — and amazingly, Mac wouldn’t even fight back. After a couple of months, he called Rotten Rottie Rescue for help.We didn’t have room at the Ranch, so I called Amanda at Paw Creek Dog Training and asked if she could take him. She could — but we had to wait a couple of weeks for a spot to open.Monday was finally Mac’s day. His neighbor drove him all the way down from Kingman on Sunday, and Paul Davis drove him to Amanda Monday morning. And today, Amanda sent me our first official Mac PupDate:“Mac the Knife is doing really, really well! I worked him for the first time today — prong and e-collar right off the bat because he is TOO DAMN BIG. He was either trained before, or he is one of the easiest dogs to train, which is pretty common with Dobies.I was very careful the first couple of days mainly because of his size. If he was going to do anything, there wasn’t a whole lot I was going to be able to do. Thank God he is super, super sweet! Now, he WILL eat a kitty. And he is a giant, so he is going to need someone who wants to build a relationship with him. I would hate for anyone to get hurt in any way by him.”So there you have it.The enormous, “dangerous” dog who almost lost his life because he panicked when strangers tried to snare him turns out to be a super sweet, ridiculously trainable giant. Mac still has some work ahead of him, and his future home is going to need to understand that a dog this large and powerful requires structure, leadership and a real relationship with his person. One of the benefits of having Amanda train our dogs is that she will support the dog's future family with free training lessons so that you can continue to make Mac the best version of himself. You can take Mac to her place for as many free lessons as you would like, and she is always available by text or a phone call for any advice that you need. And definitely NO CATS. But Mac is alive today because one neighbor cared enough to feed a forgotten dog, fought for him when the shelter thought he was dangerous, protected him from people he didn’t trust, drove him hundreds of miles to us, and refused to give up until Mac was safe.Sometimes it really does take just one person to change a dog’s entire life.Welcome to Rotten Rottie Rescue, Mac. Your old family may have driven away and

8. Willy
Puppy · Male · Rottweiler

Meet Willy Willy is an adorable young Rottweiler who came to us from MCACC, and this sweet boy is ready to find his forever family! After rescuing Willie from the shelter, he went right into a foster home where we learned that Willy had all the typical puppy behaviors. He enjoyed being a little naughty, chewing on things he shouldn't, and had a bit of separation anxiety. We decided it would be best if he went and spent a little time with our trainer Amanda at Paw Creek Training, so that he could become the best possible version for himself, Willy had been with Amanda for about a week. Once Willy is finished with training, he will be ready for his forever home.Willie is estimated to be between 7-10 months old.
