Hayden is a classic pup: mischievous, endlessly curious, and currently under the impression that the whole world was made for her to chew on. But what truly sets Hayden apart is her comedic timing. When she gets caught in puppy mischief, she immediately pops into a perfect, polite "sit" and hits you with the ultimate sweet "Who, me? I was just sitting here being an angel!" look. She can be a bit nervous when meeting new people at first, but once she warms up and burns off her zoomies, she turns into a total sweetheart who loves to cuddle.

Her foster mom has been working on her crate-training and house-training, but she is a baby so she still has a ways to go.

Hayden's wish list for her forever home:

- A friend to play with: Having a playful canine sibling is ideal to help teach her manners, burn off energy, and give her a cozy buddy to cuddle with.

- Patient humans who are around more often than not: She is not yet house trained, though she is doing very well when let out frequently on a consistent schedule. She needs potty breaks every few hours, so she would not be happy left alone 8+ hours a day.

For a couple of days, we noticed a very young puppy running loose and just outside of our dog kennels. He apparently heard our dogs barking and was trying to find safety within our rescue, but would run away whenever we tried to lure him to us. We ended up setting a trap and was able to catch Smith within a day's time. And, boy, was he ever happy to see us as he was all tail wags and excited when we took him from the trap. About a week after his capture, we found his sister, Kathy, roaming free in the same spot just below the rescue.

Smith quickly displayed his very friendly, playful personality to us. He shows us everyday just how happy he is that we found him and is always eager to give us kisses and snuggle up in our arms. While we're not really sure of his breed mix, we do know that he'll add lots of love to his new family

Smith has received 2 of 3 of his first year "puppy" vaccines, been de-wormed on multiple occasions and started on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. He's still too young to receive his rabies vaccine, which should be obtained after he reaches 12 weeks of age. His adopter must agree on having Smith neutered once he reaches 6 months old and provide verification of such to our rescue.

Kathy was found as a stray that had apparently been abandoned just below SoCo Rescue. While she was found all alone, we had actually found what appears to be her brother (Smith) a week earlier in the same place and had to set a trap to catch him. Kathy was very thin and hungry when found as her time as a stray had already begun to take its toll on her small body.

We're not exactly sure of Kathy's breed mix but think that she'll end up being a mid-sized dog once fully grown. What we do know is that she's already well-socialized towards people and other pups and has a great personality. She loves to snuggle and receive attention from our staff. Kathy should make a great addition into a home that is seeking a mid-sized dog and can give her plenty of room to run and play

She loves playing with other dogs and kids. She may occasionally decide that someone else’s toy looks better than hers and walk away with it, doing a little prancing along the way, but she’ll definitely steal your heart!

And this girl is SMART! Like, “Wait, how did you figure that out already?” smart. She picks up new things within minutes and is eager to learn. She’s young, curious, and ready to soak up everything her person is willing to teach her.

Poppi is truly all love in a tiny package. She’s sweet and sassy, playful and peaceful, silly and snuggly, basically, the whole package.

Demy is undoubtedly the more rambunctious pup of this litter, in fact, you can see her mischievousness in her eyes. Hi, I'm Korra! I came to Mostly Mutts after finding myself at animal control. I'm not quite sure how I ended up there, but I'm so grateful to be safe and well cared for now. I'm a sweet, hopeful pup with my whole future ahead of me, and I can't wait to "rescue" my new family with lots of puppy love, happy adventures, and tail wags. I hope we meet very soon! • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I'm a very sweet pup, full of joy that I love to share with all the nice volunteers. When we go on walks, I like having my carrot toy with me—it helps keep my puppy teeth busy and makes me feel confident. I was a perfect angel pup for my bath. I stood very still and even gave kisses because I felt so safe. Afterward, I loved being held and carried around so I could look out the window and watch everything happening outside. I sat nicely for a treat, trying my best to be polite and show how good I can be. I'm sweet, friendly, and I really like toys, sometimes so much so that I may get a hand accidently while playing, so please trade me another toy for the one I have. I'm a happy, fun little girl who loves being close to you and exploring life one exciting step at a time. / Energy level: 8-9, of course this may change as I grow.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience, so I've mastered the 'sit', 'stay', 'down', 'come', 'drop it', 'leave it' and 'place' commands. I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping. I get excited at times and jump up or bite at my leash, but do well when carrying a toy. I will be working on this more in the off-site training program. Let's continue my training as there are more classes we can take together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs! I'm looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog—so get ready for some training with your new best friend. / My crate manners have been good at the shelter and in the off-site training program. / My potty manners have been good on the shelter schedule and in the off-site training program, with just a little excitement peeing at times. I'm sure this will lessen at I get more comfortable in new situations.

• LIKES/DISLIKES: I love toys, going for walks and being held like a baby to look out the window. I'm sure we'll find lots more things we enjoy doing together! / I can't think of things I don't like yet since I'm so young, though like all dogs, I'm sure I wouldn't like it if I didn't get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.

• MEDICAL: I've started my puppy shots, but you will have to finish these for me as I grow. I'm also micro-chipped and spayed.
