3. Dior
Adult · Male · French Bulldog · 17 mi from Plymouth

Say hello to Dior, an almost 3-year-old French Bulldog with a big personality packed into 23 pounds of brindle perfection! This silly little guy loves being wherever his people are, following you from room to room, soaking up affection, and making sure you always know what he’s thinking with his signature Frenchie grumbles. He’s a total sweetheart who loves to be held and included in all the daily activities. He does have a preference for having his people around. He isn't a fan of being crated when everyone is home and would much rather be out enjoying their company. He may whine briefly in his crate when he's ready to be done or hears people moving around, but he settles down quickly.
Read more about Dior
He can also let out a few short, fairly mild barks when he hears cars, neighbors, or other noises. He isn't typically a prolonged barker when left alone.Dior would love a home where someone is around more often than not and where he can be part of the family. He would appreciate a family who enjoys a little playtime indoors and a couple of short, leisurely walks each day. Due to his current breathing limitations, walks should be kept short with plenty of breaks.Like many French Bulldogs, Dior needs a little extra attention when it comes to his skin. Regular medicated baths and skin moisturizers will be important to keep him comfortable, and he may need seasonal Apoquel if his dry skin isn't adequately controlled. He will also be on a contract for his nares (nostril) and soft palate surgery. His breathing currently limits his exercise, so his adopter should be prepared to continue being mindful of his activity and comfort.Dior is a goofy, affectionate, slightly grumbly little companion who just wants to be loved and included. He has so much personality, so much sweetness, and so much love to give. If you're looking for a loyal little shadow who will make you laugh, keep you company, and happily accept all the cuddles you have to offer, Dior might just be your guy!If you are interested in Dior, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.

4. Eddie Munster
Young · Male · Wirehaired Fox Terrier · 17 mi from Plymouth

Meet Eddie Munster, a little dog with a big personality, an adorable underbite, and a heart that just needs a little time to feel safe! At 9 months old and 16 pounds, this tan Wirehaired Terrier is a sweet, playful little guy who loves snuggling with his people, playing with other dogs, and discovering all the fun things life has to offer.Eddie was quite nervous when he first arrived in foster care, but he's making progress every day. He enjoys toys, games of chase with other dogs, and exploring on walks. Crunchy fall leaves are a particular favorite, and he loves plowing through them! He's also a champion blanket snuggler.
Read more about Eddie Munster
Rather than lying on top of his blankets, he'll bunch them up and curl around them like he's spooning a friend.Eddie gets along well with other dogs and would enjoy a canine companion who likes to play without being too intense. He's also done well around his foster family's young granddaughters, but because he can be skittish, a home with children 13 and older is recommended. His experience with cats is limited, so that's still an unknown.Eddie does need a little extra patience and understanding when it comes to handling. When he was found, he was severely matted, including around his neck and face, and needed to be sedated and shaved to safely remove the mats. While we don't know exactly what he experienced before coming into rescue, he is now very uncomfortable with having a collar, harness, or leash put on or taken off. When he feels frightened or overwhelmed during this process, he may use his mouth to express his discomfort. His foster family is working with a trainer to help him feel more comfortable with handling, and he's making progress. He currently walks successfully using a slip lead, but his future family will need to be patient and committed to continuing his training with gentle, positive reinforcement. Building trust and helping Eddie feel safe will be an important part of his journey.Eddie is also still learning his potty-training skills and making progress, especially with frequent outdoor breaks. He settles into his crate fairly quickly once he's inside, although he isn't a fan of going in. He's an energetic pup who enjoys a good walk and plenty of playtime, and a securely fenced yard is required. Eddie is a talented escape artist who can dart through an open door in a flash, so careful management is important.Despite his rough start, Eddie is a very loving little dog who wants to cuddle, play, and be part of a family. He'll need an adopter who understands that building trust takes time and who is willing to help him continue gaining confidence at his own pace. The right patient, committed home will make all the difference for this special little guy!If you are interested in Eddie, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450. 5. Agatha Christie
Young · Female · Pit Bull Terrier / Terrier / Mixed · 17 mi from Plymouth

Meet Agatha Christie, the adorable pocket pittie with a big personality and an even bigger love for cuddles! At almost 8 months old and 22 pounds, this sweet gray-and-white girl is short, stocky, and full of puppy charm. Her two favorite things are playing with her people and soaking up affection. If there's a lap available, Aggie is happy to claim it!Agatha loves toys, playing with other dogs, and getting attention from just about everyone. She's been wonderful with her foster family's 3- and 7-year-old granddaughters, enjoying cuddles and games of tug-of-war. She also gets along well with other dogs, although her wrestling style can be pretty enthusiastic! A canine companion who enjoys a good play session would be a bonus.
Read more about Agatha Christie
Cats are an unknown, although her foster family suspects she'd be curious and playful. At home, Agatha has a medium-low energy level, with a daily walk and some playtime keeping her happy. She's still working on leash manners and potty training, but she's making progress! She keeps her crate clean and dry overnight and settles in nicely once she's inside, although she may need a little encouragement at bedtime.Agatha has a few adorable quirks, too. If she's in her puppy pen and feels like she's missing out on something, she'll climb up and rest her front paws on top, peeking over the edge with the most pitiful, longing expression. And with her short legs, broad chest, and muscular build, her little crouching walk has been compared to something straight out of The Nightmare Before Christmas!Agatha is being treated for a skin infection that is clearing up nicely, and her small patches of missing fur are expected to grow back. She is scheduled to be spayed on November 7.This little pocket pittie is an absolute sweetheart who wants nothing more than to be part of the fun, stay close to her people, and receive all the cuddles she can get. If you're looking for a playful, affectionate pup with a whole lot of personality, Agatha Christie might just be your leading lady!If you are interested in Agatha, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450. 7. Toby easy going lowrider
Adult (5 years) · Male · Basset Hound / Beagle / Mixed (short coat) · 5 mi from Plymouth

Watch Toby easy going lowrider's video
Toby is a basset/beagle mix. He is around 5yrs old. He had a rough start in life, coming from an abusive situation we were told. For this reason, he can be leery of men, will growl when first meeting them, but hasn't bitten anyone. He needs someone who understands his past and goes slow and doesn't push his limits/scare him. Would do best with older children if they are in home, so they too can understand his situation/past. He is settling into his foster home and got neutered and vetted. So far he has shown to love car rides, likes to let his long ears and jowls flap in the wind (: He has meet and played with other foster dogs, males/females that are medium to large in size and has been playful and respectful of them. He also meet some foster kittens and didn't know what to think of their craziness. When they hissed at him, he did howl at them and scare them, but he seems like he would get along just fine with cats once he learns some boundaries with them. He does pull on a leash, do best with harness, his hound nose leads the way. He loves, loves, loves treats! He has been doing well with male in the home, taking treats and getting butt scratches from his foster mom's husband. He really has been a great dog per his foster mom and when everyone met him at vet clinic they were just swooning over him and his cuteness!!!

I’m not leash trained just yet, but I’m a smart boy, so I’m sure I’ll master that in no time.

9. Franklin
Young · Male · Black Labrador Retriever · 17 mi from Plymouth

Meet Franklin! This handsome 1-year-old Lab mix weighs about 60 pounds and is a sweet, playful guy with lots of energy and an enthusiasm for life. Franklin loves toys, especially his Kong, tug-of-war, Benebones, and long-lasting chews. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and even puts himself to bed in his crate when he is ready to settle down!Franklin is a smart, active boy who needs an adopter committed to providing plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, structure, and consistent boundaries. He loves to run and is treadmill-trained. Nose-work games are another great way to help him use his brain and burn off energy.
Read more about Franklin
Franklin is still working on impulse control and manners, so he will benefit from someone who can provide consistent guidance, routine, and positive reinforcement to help him become the best version of himself.Franklin loves having a canine companion! A confident, balanced, even-tempered resident dog would be a wonderful addition to his new home, as he enjoys having a playmate who can also help him learn to relax. He even prefers his crate to be next to his dog friend. However, a resident dog is preferred rather than required, and Franklin may do well as the only dog with the right support and structure. His compatibility with cats is unknown.Franklin's biggest challenge is being alone. He has separation anxiety and takes medication to help manage it. When left alone, he may bark incessantly, particularly if he does not have something appropriate to chew. He needs an adopter who understands separation anxiety and is prepared to continue working with him on it. A home without shared walls is required because of his barking when left alone.Franklin is a big, boisterous boy who can be a little too enthusiastic, so he needs a home with no children under 13. With the right match, consistent guidance, plenty of activity, and a canine buddy, Franklin has so much potential to grow into a wonderful companion. If you are looking for an active dog to join you on adventures and are ready to help him work through his challenges, Franklin may be your guy!If you are interested in Franklin, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450. 10. Delilah
Adult · Female · German Shepherd Dog / Terrier / Mixed · 17 mi from Plymouth

Meet Delilah, a gentle, easygoing girl whose idea of a perfect day involves belly rubs, cozy couch time, and being surrounded by people who love her! This 4-year-old German Shepherd mix weighs 70 pounds and has a heart as big as her love for snuggling. Delilah is a true couch potato who would much rather relax with her favorite humans than go on a long hike or run a marathon. She enjoys leisurely walks, especially when there is plenty of time to sniff and explore and is happy with a couple of short walks each day.Delilah is wonderful with children of all ages and is calm, patient, and gentle when little ones come by to pet her.
Read more about Delilah
She also gets along with other dogs, especially those who are laid-back and respectful of her space. She enjoys playful outings with canine friends but prefers not to roughhouse, and rowdy, reactive, or overly enthusiastic dogs can make her feel nervous. She has also lived with cats in foster homes and reportedly ignores them, making her a potential fit for a home with feline friends. At home, Delilah is quiet, house-trained, and wonderfully content to spend an evening lounging on the couch with her people. She loves belly rubs, affection, and kibble, and she’s recently started discovering the fun of toys! She’s still learning how to play and beginning to get the hang of it. She may not climb into your lap, but she will happily rest her head or a paw against you to stay close. Just be prepared to share the couch, because Delilah is perfectly capable of claiming the whole thing!Delilah does have some separation anxiety and takes medication to help manage it. She may get into a little mischief while you're away, such as relocating your shoes, but she does not need to be glued to your side. She simply likes knowing someone is home and can eventually settle down for a nap when left alone. She is not crate-trained and is uncomfortable with being crated, so her future family should be prepared to accommodate her without relying on a crate. And one more thing about this princess: Delilah is not a fan of wet paws! A little drizzle may earn you a very judgmental look as she wonders why anyone would expect her to venture outside in such conditions. She will happily wait for better weather if given the choice.Delilah would love a home where she can enjoy plenty of companionship, gentle affection, and a relaxed daily routine. A family with multiple people would be especially nice, and another calm, compatible dog could be a bonus, though she doesn't need a canine companion to be happy. If you're looking for a sweet, low-key friend who will happily trade adventure-filled days for cozy evenings and endless belly rubs, Delilah might just be your girl!If you are interested in Delilah, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450. 11. River
Adult (5 years) · Male · Great Dane / Mixed · 22 mi from Plymouth

Meet River a 5 year old Dane X. River is a gentle giant with a heart as big as he is. This cat-loving Great Dane mix has white twinkle toes and a lover’s soul through and through.
River is on his way to us from Louisiana, where there are far too many dogs and very few humans who care. The dogs there are just trying to survive each day, with only the rescuers to look out for them. River has been waiting in rescue for his forever home for far too long, and he is exactly the kind of dog UDR strives to help.
Read more about River
When he arrives, River will be fostered in a home with other Danes, so he’ll have friends to enjoy and keep him company. He is crate and house trained, rock solid, and has truly been there, done that. He will be going through heartworm treatment once he is with us, but we don’t want him to wait any longer. We would love to find his happily ever after soon, even while he is in treatment. River has spent his life far to long waiting and we know moving him to our rescue was the right thing for him. Let's find him a forever home. He is so deserving!!!!
If you adopt River, you will probably say you don’t understand why he wasn’t scooped up by another family. And you will be so thankful it was you. Interested in meeting River? www.uniteddobermanrescue.org

12. Candi
Adult (3 years 10 months) · Female · Greyhound · 11 mi from Plymouth

Calling anyone with a sweet tooth! True to my name, my foster family reports that I am a very sweet girl who loves her naps (I take my retirement very seriously). Slippery floors still make me nervous, and I am still a little unsure about walks (but I am still learning the ropes). Long walks/hikes are probably not for me- I would prefer to spend my days inside snoozing on a comfy dog bed or in my kennel. In fact, I will do my business outside very quickly so I can get back into bed! I am excitedly cautious about meeting new people, but my foster family reports that overall I seem to do well with people, other dogs, and can be redirected away from cats/small animals. Do you need a little "Candi" in your life?

13. Beretta
Adult (3 years 10 months) · Female · Greyhound · 11 mi from Plymouth

Beretta's the name, and loving people and walks is the game! My foster family reports that I am a very sweet and friendly girl. I am always super excited when I get a chance to meet new new people and new dogs. I enjoy going on a good walk where I can sniff all of the things. I would love to chase small furry animals on walks, so a home without cats or small animals would be best. I am still working on learning how to go up long flights of stairs and being left alone in my kennel, but I do enjoy relaxing in my kennel when people are home during the day. I just love people and want to be with them as much as possible! If you're looking for a velcro dog, I'm your girl!

14. Luli
Adult (3 years 1 month) · Female · Greyhound · 11 mi from Plymouth

Hi, I'm Luli! My foster family reports that I am a very sweet, quiet girl who enjoys a good backyard play session with my canine foster siblings. I tend to follow the humans around the house to keep an eye on them. I adore attention, and will make it easy for you to pet me by laying my head on you. I am a little hesitant with slippery floors and prefer to have a rug or carpet under my feet, but my foster family is working on this with me. I don't have a super high prey drive- I like to look at the small creatures, but not lunge. I currently live with two cats that I do very well with, and I enjoy resting in my kennel. My foster family reports that I do very well on leash and would love to go on long walks. Will you be my walking buddy?

She enjoys an active lifestyle with daily walks, games of fetch, and tug-of-war, so a home with a securely fenced yard would be ideal for giving her extra opportunities to play and burn off energy.Rhea has lived with a young child and was wonderfully patient and gentle with her 4-year-old housemate. 19. Milo
Adult (1 year 5 months) · Male · Poodle (Standard) (medium coat) · 8 mi from Plymouth

Meet Milo!
Milo is the newest member of the Underdog family, and we’re excited to get to know this fun-loving, energetic boy! So far, we’ve discovered that Milo loves spending time with his humans, playing with his favorite toys, and keeping himself entertained by tossing his toys around and then fetching them. This clever boy knows how to have a good time!
Milo already knows some basic commands, including sit, paw/shake, come, and stay. He’s also 100% house-trained and will ring a bell to let you know when he needs to go outside. What a smart cookie!
Read more about Milo
Friendly doesn’t even begin to describe Milo! Whether you’re an old friend or someone he’s meeting for the very first time, Milo wants to say hello. He loves people and is always ready to make a new friend.
At around one year old, Milo is still a young pup with plenty to learn. He’ll benefit from continued obedience training, especially when it comes to leash manners and walking skills. He’s also working on some typical young-dog behaviors, such as counter surfing and barking when he gets excited or wants to express himself. With time, consistency, and positive reinforcement, Milo has so much potential to become an amazing companion.
This active boy loves going on long walks where he can sniff all the wonderful smells the world has to offer. Squirrels don’t seem to distract him too much, but bunnies definitely catch his attention! When it’s time to play, Milo is a big fan of fetch, balls, and durable chew toys.
Milo is looking for a person or family who can keep up with his energy, provide structure and training, and include him in an active lifestyle. He’ll thrive with someone who has the time and patience to help him grow into his best self while enjoying all the fun and adventures life has to offer.
In return, you’ll get a smart, playful, affectionate companion who will fill your days with laughter, love, and plenty of tail wags.
Could Milo be the missing piece in your family? ❤️
Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.

21. Bennie
Young (3 months 6 days) · Male · American Pit Bull Terrier · 19 mi from Plymouth

Meet Bennie!
Professional Snuggler • Treat Enthusiast • Zoomie Champion
Name: Bennie (aka Benji, Bennie Boo, Bennie Boy)
Age: Approximately 3.5 months
Size: 13 pounds of puppy sweetness and still growing!
Activity Level: Moderate! I love a good nap, snuggle session, and occasional burst of puppy zoomies. Play hard, nap harder!
Favorite Activities: Snuggling, sunbathing, exploring, chasing kiddos, hunting for treats, and taking very important naps!
Read more about Bennie
Things I Know: I’m a smart little cookie, especially when food is involved! I’m learning to sit, wait patiently for meals, and go to the door when I need to potty. I’m making great progress with potty training and my kennel routine, with just a few puppy oopsies along the way!
Things I’m Learning: The world can be a little scary! I’m practicing leash walking, building confidence, and learning that loud noises, barking dogs, and even the wind aren’t so frightening. A little reassurance (and a treat!) goes a long way.
Kids: LOVE them! Running, chasing, playing, giving kisses, and snuggling are my specialties!
Dogs: I do well with dogs of all sizes! I currently live with two large senior dogs and know when to give them space. Loud barking can still startle me, though!
Cats: Unknown, but slow introductions would be best.
Car Rides: I’m a good passenger! New places can make me nervous, so I appreciate having my humans nearby.
Bennie is a sweet, silly, affectionate little guy who’s slowly coming out of his shell! He’s incredibly food motivated (he already knows where the treat pantry is), eager to learn, and happiest when he’s close to his people.
He’s a sensitive soul who seeks comfort when something startles him, but his confidence grows a little more every day!
His favorite thing? SNUGGLING! He loves tucking his head between your collarbone and jaw and falling asleep as close as possible. Talk about a heart-melter!
Bennie does well in his kennel during the day, sleeps soundly with his foster family at night, and continues to make great progress with potty training.
His perfect home? A loving, patient family ready to help him build confidence, continue training, and enjoy endless cuddles. Adopter needs to have a solid training plan.
If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, treat-loving little shadow with a heart of gold, Bennie Boo might just be your boy!

22. Murphy
Adult (2 years 8 months) · Male · Cockapoo / Mixed (long coat) · 8 mi from Plymouth

Meet Murphy! Your New Best Friend and Professional Cuddle Buddy! ❤️
If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate, playful companion who will always be by your side, Murphy might just be your guy!
Murphy is a happy, confident, loving boy who absolutely adores his people. Whether he's snoozing on a dog bed next to your desk while you work, carrying around his favorite toy, joining you for a walk, or snuggling up on the couch at the end of the day, Murphy's favorite place is wherever you are. He's a true little shadow who will happily keep you company and make sure you never feel lonely!
Read more about Murphy
Murphy is a fun combination of playful and laid-back. He enjoys toys, fetch, squeaky plushies, snuffle mats, and especially spending quality time with his humans. He's energetic and enjoys getting out for walks and playtime, but once he's had some exercise, he's more than happy to settle in and relax. He also loves exploring the world with his nose, so leisurely sniff-filled walks are right up his alley! A fenced-in yard would be a wonderful bonus.
He's fully potty trained, leash trained, and a smart boy who is eager to learn. He already knows "sit" and "shake" and is working on improving his recall. He's also friendly and confident when meeting new people and is always happy to accept attention from anyone willing to give it!
Murphy gets along well with other dogs, although he generally prefers playing with his human friends. He's also very cat-savvy! He hasn't been around children, so a proper introduction and assessment would be important. One thing to know is that Murphy can be protective of high-value treats like bones around other dogs, so he'll need his own space to enjoy those special goodies.
Murphy's biggest challenge is being away from his people. He struggles with separation anxiety and can bark persistently when left alone, even when other dogs are present. His ideal home would be with someone who works from home, is retired, or otherwise spends most of their time at home. He is working on building confidence with alone time, and he'll need a patient family willing to continue helping him with that. Car rides can also make him anxious, although he enjoys feeling the breeze when the weather is nice!
At the end of the day, Murphy isn't asking for much. He just wants a family to love, a cozy spot to nap, toys to play with, walks to sniff, and plenty of opportunities to be close to his favorite people.
If you're looking for a devoted companion who will be your shadow, your cuddle buddy, your walking partner, and your very best friend, Murphy is ready to meet you! ❤️

Adult (5 years) · Male · Doberman Pinscher · 22 mi from Plymouth

Scooby was saved with just HOURS LEFT after landing on the euthanasia list. This handsome boy was running out of time, but someone saw that his life was worth saving. Now, we get to show the world what an incredible dog he truly is. And honestly? Scooby might just be the whole package. This boy is potty trained, knows how to listen, follows directions, and is eager to learn. He’s treat-motivated and can pick up new commands in just 2–3 repetitions when treats are involved. He walks beautifully off leash with his person and enjoys getting out for adventures, including hikes. Scooby gets along with other dogs when given slow, proper introductions.
Read more about Scooby
He’s also living proof that a big dog doesn’t have to make a big fuss about everything. He ignores his foster’s chickens and remains calm around other animals, even when other dogs are barking. When something catches his attention on a hike, he’ll stop and observe until he’s satisfied there’s no threat rather than immediately reacting. Inside the home? He’s a dream. Scooby isn’t destructive, enjoys a good chew stick, and simply wants to be near his person. But here’s where this big guy will steal your heart… Scooby is a certified LOVE BUG. He wants to be petted on his nose and head all day, every day. He’s happiest just being close to his human, soaking up affection and reminding you that sometimes the best part of life is having a loyal companion by your side. Think about it. A dog who listens, learns quickly, enjoys adventures, can coexist peacefully with other animals, knows his manners, and wants nothing more than to love his people. This is the dog who was almost out of time. Scooby deserved more than the final hours he was given. He deserved a chance to be someone's best friend, hiking buddy, couch companion, and forever shadow. Now he needs someone to give him the one thing rescue cannot promise forever: a home of his own. Blair is a 6yr old female hound. We were told she is a purebred bluetick. She has lived with the same family since she was a puppy, but at no fault of her own, she is coming into rescue. Does well with all adults and children! Ignores cats. She is a very sweet dog. Enjoys being outside, but also loves cuddling and napping. She has never hunted. She has some of the longest ears we have ever seen! So velvety soft, how can you resist!!! She is very calm for being a hound. You can tell her "I love youuuuuuuuuuuu" and she will respond with a low, pitched howl back telling you she loves you too, so adorable!! Her foster mom has nothing but good to say about her!!!! She was a star when she visited resident's at the local nursing home for Halloween dressed as a big spider!

27. Rudy
Adult (3 years) · Male · Treeing Walker Coonhound / Mixed (short coat) · 5 mi from Plymouth

Rudy arrived to MN... ON A PLANE!! He was such a good boy on the flight and seemed to love to be up in the air. Rudy was found running as a stray in Ohio and was brought into an animal control facility, where he was at risk of euthanasia. We can tell he was fending for himself for a long time due to his extreme weight loss/body condition. We are guessing he is between 3 and 5yrs old. So far he has been a sweet boy, loving attention from his foster mom. Rudy is energetic and likes sniffing and being outside in the fenced in yard, but yet likes to be by you and know what you are doing. He is crated in the home when left alone. Working on potty training, as he appears to have been a dog that had been kept outdoors only, which unfortunately most hounds are. He does fine when strangers come by, seems to like all humans. He has been doing good with the other foster dogs, he has reacted back to a more dominant male, but he just got neutered and we are hoping this helps with that.

Adult (8 years) · Female · Labrador Retriever / Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat) · 5 mi from Plymouth

Watch Bella Help I need a foster home's videos (3)
Bella is approximately eight years old (maybe younger) and is likely a Labrador mix. She listens well, does amazing with a two year old son, (in the advocates home) and she is good with dogs. She does seem to leave cats alone. Bella is crate trained. If you can see the video it does look like Bella loves to play!
Bella lived her whole life outside in a kennel and a family friend would throw bags of dog food over and left them for her every couple weeks. The lady abandoned her with an elderly lady who couldn’t walk out to the kennel she was kept in. She is the sweetest thing ever, despite being neglected.

Grainger is doing wonderfully with his potty training! He prefers going outside but will also use a potty pad if you miss his subtle signals. He does best when someone accompanies him outside, encourages him with a "Go Potty," and gives him lots of praise. He doesn't have accidents in his crate and settles in nicely. He may whimper softly at first because he'd much rather be with you, but he falls asleep quickly.
Other Dogs & Playtime
Grainger isn't quite sure how to play with other dogs yet. When his foster siblings play, he prefers to give them space and observe. He could be perfectly happy as your one-and-only or could be integrated into a home with another dog. He just wants love, attention, and a full food bowl!
Fun Facts About Grainger

Very cooperative when it's time to take toys away.

Learning to sit and patiently wait.

A Little About His Diet
Grainger has allergies, so his foster family has been careful to keep him on a raw diet that he absolutely loves. Because of his dietary needs, he isn't currently given treats. His food routine will need to be maintained and discussed with his adopter.
Grainger is a loving, gentle-hearted boy who wants nothing more than to be close to his people. He's happiest when he's getting affection, hearing your sweet voice, and knowing he's a good boy.
Could you be the person Grainger has been waiting for?

Why adopt an adult dog in Plymouth
An adult dog's personality is fully formed, so the rescue can tell you how they are with people, other pets and busy households. Many have lived in foster homes and are already house-trained.
Grown dogs need less supervision than puppies and often know the basics, like sitting and walking on a leash, which suits people who work or have young children.
