1. Josie

Puppy · Female · Chihuahua / Pug (short coat) · 32 mi from New Braunfels

Welcome Josie to CCPAL Rescue. Josie is a Chug (Chihuahua/Pug) puppy. She weighs 4 pounds and is 9 weeks old. She will be a small dog full grown. She should be 12 pounds or less. She is very sweet and has an adorable rounded head. She likes to be held, is good in a crate, goes on a wee pad and loves to play with toys. She was born at the Rescue. They took in a stray female and she was pregnant. This means the puppies get lots of attention and are very used to being in a loud and rowdy environment. Josie would be best in a home that the person doesn’t work all day every day. She needs to finish up her puppy training. Social pups make great adults and now is the time for her to spend time with her family and to go places and let people pet her. She is an AMAZING puppy. She would be fine with children. Due to her small size, we would like children to be 8 or older. She is getting her puppy vaccines and will have 3. She will then be ready for spay and adoption. She can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states.

I am an owner surrender due to being rescued, nursed back to health after having Parvo, and my caretakers rescued me to find a good home! I am described as friendly, active, smart, and playful! I live with another dog and am said to be dog friendly! There are no kids in my home but I have met the neighbor 3 and 5 year old kids and play with them and am kid friendly! I have never lived with a cat so it is uncertain if I am feline friendly! Because I am a puppy, I am still learning house and crate training manners.

At night I sleep in a crate in the humans room and if the humans must be away, I will whine for a minute and then take a nap. When outside I have good behavior and do not dig or attempt to jump fences/gates! Loud noises startle me but I love riding in the car, elk horns, playing with other dogs, playing with the humans, exploring, sniffing at everything, and taking naps! 12. Priscilla Prissy

Puppy · Black Mouth Cur / Labrador Retriever (medium coat) · 32 mi from New Braunfels

Welcome Priscilla “Prissy” to CCPAL Rescue. Priscilla is a 10-week-old sweetie. Lab/Black Mouth Cur mix is our best guess. She should be a medium sized dog 28 pounds or less. He is sturdy and has longer legs then her stubby legged brother. Her mom is Pickles and she is also medium sized. She is getting lots of attention at the Rescue and she is social, good with other dogs, good in a crate, learning wee pad manners and is over all a very nice puppy. The kennel staff usually bathe and clip toenails on a regular basis as well. She will be fine with grooming. She has a soft fluffy coat and adorable expressions. She was found as a stray with her mom who is Pickles. She is getting all 3 sets of his puppy vaccinations and will be spayed soon. She can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Prissy would be fine in a family with children. We like them to be 8 or older. A puppy is always best with someone that is not gone all day every day. A puppy needs to bond with his humans and to go places to remain and grow up to be a well-rounded dog. Priscilla will also need to finish her puppy training. She would be great in a doggy daycare as she gets time playing off leash with other puppies her size. Her adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states.

13. Daisey Mae

Puppy · Female · Chihuahua / Dachshund (short coat) · 32 mi from New Braunfels

Welcome Daisey Mae to CCPAL Rescue. She came in with her mom Layla. We think her breed is Chiweenie. She is 13-weeks old and she weighs about 5 or 6 pounds. We think full grown would be 25 pounds or less. She is beautiful and looks a lot like her mom. She was fun to take photos of at the photo shoot. She is good in a crate, good with other dogs, playful and sweet. She is smart and trusting of people. She would be great with a family that is moderately active to highly active. She would be best with someone that is not gone all day every day and can spend some time with their puppy to keep her social and to finish up her puppy training.

She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older as older children can be taught to respect and be careful with their dog. She is sturdy and would make a great walking companion. She is social and would be fine taking her out places that have lots of people or a doggy daycare. She is up on her vaccinations and will be spayed soon and ready for her forever home. 14. Holly

Puppy · Female · Norfolk Terrier / Mixed (short coat) · 43 mi from New Braunfels

This little spit-fire baby is HOLLY! She is a mere 7 pounds and 4 months old. We do not expect her to exceed 15 pounds as an adult, she has been slow to grow. She is a mighty little girl who is super playful but not hyper. She is in a home with big and small breed dogs and she loves the big dogs, she has no fear of anything.
Like any typical puppy she plays, play and plays until she konks out for a nap. She loves to cuddle as well. HOLLY would do best in a home with another dog as a pet playmate. She loves to go outside and run zoomies although she runs zoomies inside as well. We are trying to potty train her and she is catching on slowly.

Read more about Holly

She does follow what the other dogs do and that is a big help. She knows how to use the pee pads.
HOLLY was found by a good Samaritan roaming the streets by herself. She was covered with fleas so they chose to shave her down. Her hair is growing back and she is just a small breed scruffy, wire haired and stark white in color.
If you are interested in adopting HOLLY, please submit an application on the website below. Feel free to call me anytime. Thank you.

15. Laredo

Puppy · Male · Boxer · 48 mi from New Braunfels

Laredo is a healthy male at just 9 months old. Patience and positive reinforcement will go a long way with him. He is still learning to be calm around the littles, so he’ll need some supervision at first. Laredo attended training class, but his previous family tells us they didn’t see too much change. Laredo becomes friendly with other dogs after he overcomes a little shyness at first. While he was with his previous owner, Laredo was house trained and slept in his crate at night. Laredo enjoyed riding in the car, but being at home alone didn’t seem to bother him. He’ll need some backyard supervision until he learns that digging is a no-no.

Read more about Laredo

His favorite pastime is playing w/ just about any toy that makes noise. His favorite toy is his squeaky pig. Like most dogs, Laredo is treat motivated and likes to eat. So, keep a watchful eye at the backyard BBQ. Laredo will make a nice addition to an active family who will be devoted to his development. Puppy · Cairn Terrier / Chihuahua · 32 mi from New Braunfels

Welcome Bitsy to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 5-pound small Terrier/Cairn mixed pup. Her mom is Monica. She was on the street as a stray. We took her in to find out she was pregnant. The puppies were born in our Rescue. They have gotten lots of interaction. They are very social and friendly. Bitsy is one of the smaller pups in the litter. She is full of personality and very good with her litter group. She goes on a wee pad and is good in a crate. She likes all people and is not shy around strangers. Her mom is 15 pounds. We do think Bitsy will be 15 pounds or less full grown. She is not a big shedder.

She will make some lucky family a good pet. Anyone who adopts a puppy should not work all day everyday because a puppy needs to be with their family and not home alone all day. She needs to finish up her puppy training. She will be a great dog for a social person wanting a matching puppy personality. She would be fine in a smaller condo size yard. She would be fine with other dogs. She can go with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is getting spayed, vaccinated and she will be ready for her forever home. Adopting a puppy in New Braunfels

Puppies usually go to their new homes from about eight weeks old, once they're weaned and have had their first vaccinations. Most rescues spay or neuter them before adoption, or include it in the fee.

Ask the rescue how big the puppy is expected to grow and which breeds they think are in the mix, so you can plan for the dog they'll become.

Puppies need a lot of your time: house-training, a few minutes of training every day, several small meals, and someone home often enough to let them out. A puppy class is a good way to start.
