Health: He came to us with a broken front leg. The leg has been repaired. * No obvious health issues found during vet exam *
Temperament:
Meet Bungee, he is a tiny 2-year-old Papillon weighing just 8 pounds. He is a very timid, skittish boy who will need a patient and understanding home.
Read more about Bungee
Bungee spends much of his time under the bed, but he is beginning to come out more often and look around. He loves playing with toys “like a ninja,” especially when no one else is around. He is still frightened of being picked up and may run and hide, but he enjoys sleeping beside his foster parent once he feels safe.
Bungee recently had surgery to repair a broken leg and still favors it at times. His recovery will need to be monitored, and his adopter should follow veterinary guidance regarding activity.
Just this weekend, Bungee took a wonderful step forward by using the stairs to climb onto the bed by himself! With patience, gentleness, and time, this sweet little Papillon is slowly gaining confidence and learning to trust.

Temperament: Meet Max! This adorable 2-year-old, 14-pound Pomeranian is a bundle of joy looking for his forever home. Max is incredibly friendly, loves playing with his favorite toys, zooming around the yard, and being right by his person's side. He’s a happy, loving boy who will surely steal your heart.
Because Max is a bit food-protective, he thrives best when he has a quiet, dedicated space—like a kennel or separate room—for mealtime. He is looking for an adult-only home where he can be the center of your world. While he is generally sweet, he has a history of biting a child, so we are requiring a home without children. He also isn't a fan of the broom; we’re not sure why, but he’d appreciate a family that understands his quirks.

Young (3 years) · Male · Pomeranian (medium coat) · 4 mi from Sachse

~~Although we do our very best to make sure your new pup is in tiptop health before adoption,
things could drastically change a month later. Since we don’t have a long health history of your
adopted dog, we can only treat the pet for whatever symptoms present during the initial exam

Health: * No obvious health issues found during vet exam *
Temperament: Don’t let his 6lb frame fool you—Bruno is a 3-year-old with the soul of a warrior and the attitude to match. He is officially "not for the faint of heart," but for the right person, he is the ultimate companion.
Read more about Bruno
Bruno is a classic "spicy" pup. He has a "tiny wolf" mentality and isn't afraid to use his teeth if he’s asked to do something he doesn’t like (like heading outside or being moved). He’s spent a lifetime being misunderstood, but we know the truth: Bruno is just a little guy who needs clear boundaries and a patient leader. He has previously been allowed to call the shots, so he needs an adopter who is comfortable with his "wolf" side—someone who won’t be intimidated by a growl or a snap, but will instead provide the firm, consistent structure he needs to feel secure.
Because of his need for a controlled, predictable environment, Bruno will not be adopted into homes with children, nor can he go to homes where children frequently visit.
Once he decides you’re his person, the transformation is incredible. He turns into a total mushy lap dog who loves his toys, chasing tiny balls, and long, polite walks on a leash. He’s house and kennel trained, but he is not a "meet and greet" kind of dog; he isn't fond of strangers and won't show his best side at first glance.
If you are looking for a fierce little protector and have the experience and patience to look past his "little turd" moments, you’ll find a loyal, cuddly, and loving dog waiting to bond with his forever human. He won't win a "Best in Show" for his first impression, but if you can give him a chance, you won’t be disappointed. If you’re looking for a fierce little protector who will eventually be your biggest cuddle bug, Bruno is your guy. He can be a little turd, but he’s a good little turd who just needs a chance. Are you his person? Apply to adopt him today. --

I’m not asking for much. I don’t need a busy life or endless adventures. Honestly, I’d be pretty happy with a soft bed, some good meals, a little love, and someone who wants me around.
I just want a place where I can feel safe and loved for whatever golden years I have left.
Please don’t let me spend the rest of my life in a kennel. I’ve waited long enough for someone to choose me.
❤️ Could you be my person?

Adopting a dog in Sachse
Most rescues ask you to fill in an application, meet the dog, and pay an adoption fee that usually covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip. Many are foster-based, so you'll often meet your dog in a volunteer's home rather than a shelter.
Senior dogs are often the calmest companions and the slowest to find homes. If you'd like a settled, affectionate dog, ask the rescues about their older residents.
Puppies go quickly, so if you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon. Ask how big they're expected to grow, and plan for plenty of house-training and training in the first few months.
