2. Nemo
Young · Male · German Shepherd Dog / Mixed · 44 mi from Fayetteville

COURTESY POST !!! DO NOT APPLY TO RUSTY'S PLEASE APPLY HERE: Adoption Application Form https://share.google/UBQ9UhYNIlUmPIGtI HELP US FIND NEMO HIS HAPPY ENDING! Our sweet boy Nemo is just a couple of weeks away from graduating from his SIX-WEEK BOARD AND TRAIN PROGRAM, and we have one very important thing left to accomplish. WE NEED TO FIND HIM A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME! Nemo has spent the last several weeks working incredibly hard to become the best version of himself. He's learned obedience, built confidence, improved his social skills, and made some truly amazing progress. But there's one thing we can't teach him in training.
Read more about Nemo
What it feels like to have a home of his very own. Nemo is an incredibly intelligent, affectionate, active boy who bonds deeply with his people. Once you're his person, you're HIS person, and he will absolutely adore you. He's also got a few quirks, and we want to be completely transparent about what his perfect home looks like. Children 15 and older: Nemo does best with people who understand boundaries and can respect his personal space. No small animals: While Nemo does well with other dogs, smaller animals aren't a good fit for him. Dog friendly: With proper introductions, Nemo enjoys other dogs! He has a particularly funny fascination with black, fluffy dogs. Apparently, our handsome boy has a type! A quieter household: Nemo would thrive in a home with a predictable routine, a little peace and quiet, and people he can build a strong relationship with. An active family: Hiking, running, exploring, and outdoor adventures? Nemo would LOVE that! He's a smart, energetic boy who enjoys having things to do. Supervised outdoor time: Nemo is quite the talented fence climber! Although his recall has improved tremendously, he still needs supervision and secure handling outdoors. Continued respect for his boundaries: Nemo has made wonderful progress with meeting new people and navigating public environments. He just needs strangers to approach appropriately and give him a chance to feel comfortable. AND THE BEST PART? NEMO COMES WITH LIFETIME TRAINING SUPPORT! We're not simply handing Nemo over with a list of commands and wishing everyone good luck. His new family will receive: Lifetime refresher training sessions Help from his trainer during his transition into his new home Guidance on maintaining his obedience and continuing his progress Support to help Nemo and his new family build a wonderful relationship We have invested six weeks into helping Nemo succeed, and we're committed to making sure that success continues long after graduation. Now, here's the part that breaks our hearts. Nemo does not do well in a traditional boarding environment. He struggles emotionally, becomes withdrawn, and simply isn't the same happy, affectionate dog we see when he's able to spend time with people and participate in everyday life. We've watched him blossom throughout his training. We've seen his personality shine, his confidence grow, and his ability to navigate the world improve. The thought of him finishing all this hard work only to return to a kennel is absolutely devastating. Nemo deserves to graduate into a HOME, not back into boarding. He doesn't need a perfect family. He needs the right family. Someone patient. Someone active. Someone who appreciates a dog with a big personality, a huge heart, and a few little quirks. Someone who understands that rescue dogs aren't always perfect, but they are absolutely worth the effort. And if you're not quite ready to adopt? FOSTERING NEMO WOULD BE JUST AS INCREDIBLE! Giving him somewhere comfortable to land while we search for his forever family would mean the world to us and, more importantly, to Nemo. NEMO'S NEXT CHAPTER IS WAITING! Charlotte, NC Foster or forever home needed Graduating from his six-week training program soon Lifetime training support included Apply at https://stabrescue.com Please, please share our sweet boy. Hi! My mom and siblings were rescued by pawfect when we were just born in the shelter. We have been living in a warm cozy foster home and growing, growing, growing! Our mom Brynn (Brinley) is what they think to be a Coonhound mix and we are not sure what our dad was mixed with but likely something big.
We currently live in a foster home with cats, dogs & kids but please remember we are babies and proper introductions and consistent boundaries and training are a must to help me thrive as I grow.
We are accepting applications to be taken home as your new BFF and can't wait to find our forever!

Meet the Halloween Litter: A Little Spooky, A Whole Lot Sweet!
Our story started with a not-so-magical beginning: we were dumped at just a few weeks old. Thankfully, a kind Good Samaritan came to our rescue, and now our next big adventure is finding forever families!
At just 7 weeks old, we're tiny bundles of puppy breath, wiggly tails, and endless potential. Our breed is still a mystery, but our best guess is a mix of Hound and Anatolian Shepherd. In other words, we might be growing into some BIG dogs with big hearts to match!

We may have arrived with a little Halloween drama, but there's nothing scary about us. We're just sweet little pumpkins looking for families to love us, guide us, and help us grow into the amazing dogs we're meant to be.
Ready to make one of us your boo? We promise plenty of puppy kisses, silly antics, and a lifetime of love!**************

I’m Joda, and my name means PARTY in Spanish! So naturally, I’m here to bring the party wherever I go!
I’m a 5-month-old, 24-pound bundle of pure joy, puppy antics, and nonstop entertainment. I’ve got long legs, a shiny black coat, and enough personality to fill a room. I’m basically a walking celebration with four paws!
Life is exciting, everything is worth investigating, and there’s always time for a little silliness. I’m at that perfect puppy age where I’m ready to learn, explore, make memories, and shower my people with all the love I have to give.

19. Sampson
Puppy (4 months 6 days) · Male · Great Pyrenees (long coat) · 38 mi from Fayetteville

A good samaritan learned about me living outside tied up by a chain and rescued me from those conditions. He knew he would not be able to keep me but also knew he couldn't leave me where I was. He took me to the vet, got me meds for my ear infection and got me all cleaned up. I'm now in a foster home with Pawfect Match and will learn how to be a puppy. I have a sweet, calm demeanor and have done well with dogs, kids and people although I'm a little shy at the moment.
I will need a home with a yard as I will be a big boy as I grow older. I will shed, require brushing and wil need someone who understands my breed.

20. Chip
Adult (5 years) · Male · German Shepherd Dog / Hound / Mixed (short coat) · 38 mi from Fayetteville

Are you looking for a professional couch potato? How about a dog that basically sleeps on demand? Want a dog to pre-warm your bed before you get in? Look no further! Chip, AKA The House Hippo is DEFINITELY the dog for you.
Housetrained? Check.
Young at 5 years old, but with all that puppy stuff in the past? Check.
Good on a leash? Check.
Great with other dogs? Kids? Check, check.
Healthy? UTD on veterinary care? Neutered? Also check.
Read more about Chip
This dude is the total derpy package. He is sweet, gentle, and thinks his name should be Tiny, since he also believes he is a lap dog and will absolutely block your view of the TV if he joins you on the couch. But it is totally worth it, since he has an enormous amount of love to give. He was saved from euthanasia at a rural shelter with just hours to spare. And he is forever grateful and will for sure let it show. Chip would absolutely 100% benefit from being in a home with other dogs! We don’t think he would flourish as only dog!
Won't you consider adding this hunk of love to your pack?

21. Coda
Adult (2 years) · Male · American Pit Bull Terrier (short coat) · 38 mi from Fayetteville

Meet Coda!
Coda was pulled from the shelter and spent time in boarding while being observed and trained! This boy has GREAT manners and such a great foundation for training!
A message from his trainer:
He's doing really well. Hes a different dog from the one I brought into the shelter.
Polite on a leash, knows basic obedience, understands dog manners well (still ignores them sometimes), and hes become way more social with people.
He'll still barks at someone that comes in the house initially or unexpectedly but is learning he's safe and with proper introductions warms up.

22. Nessa
Puppy (5 months 18 days) · Female · Labrador Retriever / Giant Schnauzer / Mixed (medium coat) · 49 mi from Fayetteville

Meet Nessa! We think she could be a mix of Lab or Great Dane and some sort of wiry-haired terrier, but whatever she is, her paws tell us she's going to be a great big beautiful girl. Good thing she's such a sweetheart who loves to learn. Nessa requests your treats and chin scratches and she can provide giant cuddles as payment!
Read more about Nessa
In her foster home, she's house trained, knows some basic commands like sit/down, and takes treats gently. She's learning to walk politely on a leash and sleeps well in her crate at night. She loves to chase the ball, but she hasn't yet gotten the hang of bringing it back. During the day, she's still learning that her crate can be her safe place because she loves to be with people. Having another dog in the home could help her feel more confident when her people leave the house.
Nessa is current on vaccines and microchipped.

A little about Nickel; he is very friendly and excited about the world around him. He rides well in the car and likes to wrestle and play with other dogs of all sizes, but he is equally as happy to settle in on the couch for a nap. As long as his people are nearby, Nickel is up for anything! (BR*/KG)

Hi,
I'm Peaches!
My brother and sisters and I were saved right in the nick of time with our mom when we found ourselves at the shelter. Us puppies had a sickness called parvo but Pawfect match acted quick and got us treated. We are now feeling better than ever and are happy to be thriving.
We are working on learning how to be a normal fun puppy and being loved on in our foster homes but would love to find our forever families to settle in our final spot.

Our mom is pictured in our photos and guess what?? One of my sibling had a DNA test and the results showed 50% Doberman Pinscher, 26.6% Great Pyrenees, 14.3% Super mutt and 9.1% Belgian Malinois. It is possible that my siblings and I could have different Dads so even a sibling DNA is no guarantee.
I hope to meet you soon at one of our upcoming events!

27. Benny
Young (11 months) · Male · Shepherd / Mixed (medium coat) · 38 mi from Fayetteville

Benny’s story almost ended before it truly had a chance to begin. This sweet boy was sitting in a Georgia shelter and was scheduled to be euthanized that very day. 28. Freddie
Puppy (5 months 3 days) · Female · American Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat) · 38 mi from Fayetteville

Hi future family! My name is Freddie, and I can't wait to meet you! I'm a chill girl, because while I do like to play, I also enjoy finding a soft place to snuggle up and take a nap. When it is time to play, I love to play tug of war or chew a squeaky toy. Exploring the yard is fun too! I can be shy when I meet new people, but my family is extremely important to me. A chew toy or a kong with a treat is a favorite for me, and if you're nearby, I'll take a nap peacefully for a few hours. If you have to leave the house, I'm happy to wait for you in my crate. I'm on a good potty schedule, and as long as I keep that schedule, I am housetrained! At night I am used to sleeping in my crate, but if you wanted me to snuggle up on your bed with you, I would absolutely love that! I hope I get to meet you soon!

29. Blue
Young (1 year 3 months) · Male · American Pit Bull Terrier / Terrier / Mixed (short coat) · 38 mi from Fayetteville

Blue was rescued by Pawfect Match just in time before the deadline thanks to a wonderful foster who stepped up to keep him safe. He has been dog friendly with the dogs he has met and has not been cat reactive but hasn't been officially cat tested.
Foster Update!
Blue is super high energy and wants to play all the time!
He is good with my small dog but constantly tries to get him to play.
I don’t have a cat but every time he sees one he tries to chase it so I’m not sure how he would do in a house with one.

He is a social butterfly and loves company of any kind; that being said he does not like being alone. He has gotten a bit better, but when I first left him alone he would destroy everything so consistent positive routines and reassurance is a must with this boy!
He is pretty much house trained at this point, we hardly have any accidents in the house anymore.
He would do well with an active, younger person or family. He walks well on a leash, but I would suggest using a harness. He knows how to escape the collar pretty well.
We will be neutering, vetting and gettin to know Blue and will update as we can!

About Zeke’s Breed:
Our best guess is that Zeke is a Sheepdog/Poodle mixed breed. Sheepdog/Poodle mixes — often called Sheepadoodles — are known for their bright intelligence, affectionate nature, and lively, playful spirit. They blend the Old English Sheepdog’s gentle, family oriented temperament with the Poodle’s sharp mind and athleticism, creating dogs who are social, people loving, and eager to be part of whatever their humans are doing. Many Sheepadoodles are happy, goofy companions who thrive on interaction, mental stimulation, and plenty of activity.
Their ideal home is one that offers structure, exercise, and consistent companionship. Because they’re energetic and highly social, Sheepadoodles flourish in households where they can enjoy daily walks, playtime, and engagement with their people. They do well with respectful children, active families, and homes that appreciate their enthusiasm and affectionate nature. With steady routines, positive reinforcement, and an environment that lets them burn energy and feel included, Sheepdog/Poodle mixes grow into wonderfully loyal, joyful companions.
What to Love about Zeke:
Zeke is a high‑energy, fun‑loving Sheepadoodle who wants to be part of absolutely everything life has to offer — hiking, walking, exploring, playing, and meeting new people. He adores humans and has been wonderful with everyone he meets, including kids. Because he’s enthusiastic and a solid, active boy, he’s best suited for a home without very small children he might accidentally knock over. Zeke plays hard, enjoys dogs close to his size, is respectful of cats, and thrives in a home that appreciates his joyful, go‑go‑go personality.
Zeke is great on a leash and would make an excellent adventure buddy for an active adopter. He’s potty trained, crate trained, and has excellent house manners — he’ll even signal when he needs to go out by waiting at the door. He’s well‑versed in obedience commands, has impressive off‑leash recall, and possesses a calm, stable temperament when he’s not in play mode. He’s alert to visitors, enjoys daily brushing, is easy to bathe, and is non‑shedding. His coat should remain long and must not be shaved. He’s also a gentleman during car rides and socializes well with other dogs!
His biggest challenge is thunderstorms. Zeke becomes very anxious, cannot remain in a secured crate, and needs an experienced, patient owner who can help him feel safe during storms. He asks that his forever family be home during thunder so he knows he’s protected. Due to past food insecurity, he shows some resource guarding around his bowl, but this is easily managed with crate feeding. Otherwise, he’s a composed companion who respects personal space, doesn’t jump on people, and responds beautifully to “space” and “place” commands and can't wait to keep learning more!
In return for the support he needs, Zeke will shower his family with affection, loyalty, and the kind of love that makes you feel truly appreciated. He’s ready for his next exciting chapter and can’t wait to find the person or family who will embrace his joyful energy and gentle heart!
Zeke’s Zippy Highlights:
High‑energy adventure buddy who loves hiking, exploring, playing, and being part of everything

Adopting a large dog in Fayetteville
Large dogs need room to stretch out and plenty of exercise: at least one good walk a day, and a secure yard is a bonus. Check your lease too, as some landlords limit the size or breed of dog.
Start training from day one. A big dog who walks nicely on a leash and doesn't jump up is a pleasure to live with, and many rescues can recommend a local trainer.
