MEET DUDLEY #2!!
Read more about Dudley
Dudley is a sweet, affectionate, and very playful boy with a lot of personality and energy. He loves attention, playing with his toys, being outside, going for walks, and especially playing with other dogs. He really loves having someone to play with. He can be pretty enthusiastic during playtime, so another playful dog who can match his energy would be a great match. He is good with adults and elementary aged children on a leash, but he has not been testing with children in a home. He is housetrained, uses a doggy door, and knows basic commands. He does fairly well on a leash, but he still pulls at times, especially when he's excited about going for a walk. He is a typical young Husky who is curious, energetic, and always looking for something to do.
Dudley has some separation anxiety, particularly when he is left alone crated. This is improving, and he has a prescription for trazodone to help when he needs to be crated for extended periods of time. He also has enamel hypoplasia which affects the enamel on his teeth. He received a dental treatment, including bonding, in August 2026. Dudley's current owner is unable to give him the exercise and attention he needs and is heartbroken to have to find him a new home. Dudley would thrive in a home with a fenced yard, plenty of exercise, attention, and companionship. A bonus would be a similarly energetic pet sibling too. Meet Dudley today!

8. Gino
Adult · Male · Rottweiler · 94 mi from Prescott Valley

Meet Gino!Gino is a big, goofy boy weighing in at 112 pounds! He wants nothing more than to nuzzle his face into your lap to receive all the pets and love you can give. His temperament is sweet and docile, and he is a smart boy with just a fun dash of classic Rottie stubbornness. We rescued Gino off the county shelter's euthanasia list on 10/20/26. He was placed on the list because when he became overstimulated from excitement or petting, he would mount his handler. Knowing what a sweet soul he is, we were so excited when a proffessional trainer offered to foster and train him! She is working with Gino to curb this behavior and help him become the absolute best version of himself.

When we picked him up, he had a case of kennel cough, which is now almost fully resolved, as well as some nosebleeds. We have already taken him to our vet and are actively working toward getting him back into tip-top shape! 14. Zeke
Young · Male · Rottweiler · 94 mi from Prescott Valley

Meet Zeke! Our Newest Rotten Rottie!Zeke is an absolutely stunning young male Rottweiler. He was found as a stray and brought to Maricopa County Animal Care & Control, where he ultimately ended up on the euthanasia list. While at the shelter, he was friendly with staff and caused no issues. Even the veterinary team was able to handle him easily. If you’ve ever owned a Rottweiler, you know the vet can be a challenging environment for them. The reason he was placed on the euthanasia list was due to dog reactivity reported in the shelter lobby, as well as his finder mentioning that he reacted to other people and dogs while on leash.
Read more about Zeke
This type of behavior is common to the breed and in high-stress shelter environments. With consistency and proper training, it can be managed or overcome. When I met Zeke, I didn't see any reactivity at all. I took him out of his kennel, walked him into a play yard, and navigated past other dogs. He even sat calmly outside his kennel while we readjusted his leash with other dogs barking just a few feet away, and he didn't react. He stayed focused on me and sat patiently. However, just because I didn't witness reactivity during our initial meeting doesn't mean it never occurs. Once we get to know Zeke better and observe him across different settings, we’ll have a clearer picture of what support and environment he needs to succeed.Regardless of why he was on the euthanasia list, after meeting Zeke and seeing what a wonderful dog he is, we knew we had to save him. We don't know his exact age, but he appears to be between 1 and 2 years old. So far what we have seen from Zeke is a smart, even-tempered, affectionate, and gentle boy.As we spend more time learning his personality, likes, and dislikes, we will update his profile. At this time, we do not know how he does with other dogs, small animals, or children, but we will try to test him in as many different environments as is safe and appropriate. In addition, Zeke will be heading to training with Amanda at Paw Creek Training next week! Amanda will determine how he does with other dogs, correct any behavioral concerns she finds, and teach him all his basic obedience. We can't wait to watch Zeke become the best version of himself! We truly believe Zeke is going to make an amazing companion, and we look forward to helping him build the life he has always deserved! If you are interested in meeting Zeke or any of our adoptable dogs, please visit our website at http://www.rottenrottie.com and complete our adoption questionnaire.Adoption Process:If you are interested in adopting one of our fun-loving, "not-so-rotten" Rotties, you will be asked to fill out our adoption application which allows us to get to know you better. MEET ZEUS #18!!
Read more about Zeus
Zeus is a medium-high energy boy who loves to plat fetch and tug-of-war. Then, he turns into a cuddle bug with his person. He does not show toy or food aggression. He is housetrained, crate trained and doggy door trained. He can be trusted alone at home (doesn't chew anything up). His only mischief is stealing food off the counter. Although he is crate trained, he does get anxious in it. He does well outside in his dog house or just chilling in the home. Zeus walks beautifully on a leash and is muzzle-trained for public. He bonds hard once you are his person--you will be his whole world. He is deeply loyal, protective, and affectionate with his people. He just needs slow introductions to build that trust.
He needs to be in an adult-only home with no other pets and a low-traffic household. When company comes over, he needs his own space to also build trust. His bite record is disclosed, and he needs an experienced owner who understands protective dogs and will keep his structure, boundaries, and muzzle use in public. There is a $50 rehoming fee. He is not a fit for a first-time dog owner or a busy household. However, he is truly a devoted companion in the right home. Meet Zeus today!

19. Meatball
Young · Male · Cane Corso Mastiff · 85 mi from Prescott Valley

MEET MEATBALL — YES, THE NAME FITS.
Meatball is exactly what you would expect from a dog named Meatball: big, goofy, handsome, slightly ridiculous, and completely lovable.
This sweet meathead is actually more of a calm, mellow guy. He isn’t looking to run a marathon or solve complicated problems. His goals in life are pretty simple:
Eat good snacks.
Hang out with his people.
Play with a pretty girl dog.
Take a nap.
Repeat.
Meatball loves female dogs and would be happiest in a home with a large-breed female buddy he can romp around with. We haven’t tested him with male dogs yet.
Read more about Meatball
He would also be fine with kids around 7 years and older. Not because he’s mean — quite the opposite — but because Meatball is a lumbering giant who may accidentally send a little kid flying just by turning around.
Meatball came to us after being removed from a neglectful situation. When he arrived, he was terribly thin and you could see every rib and bone on his body.
Thankfully, those days are behind him.
Now he is filling out beautifully and turning into the giant, goofy Meatball he was always supposed to be.
House trained
Rides well in the car
Pretty decent on leash
Loves female dogs
Professional cuddler
Certified goofball
And Meatball has VERY quickly learned that rescue life comes with excellent snacks.
His current food pyramid consists of:
Cow cheek rolls
Bully sticks
Chicken feet
Duck feet
Tracheas
And the most important food group of all… COSTCO COOKIES.
Meatball is looking for someone who wants a big, handsome shadow following them around the house, leaning against them for affection, and staring at them like they are the greatest human being on Earth.
He has already experienced what it feels like to be forgotten.
Now he deserves to be someone’s whole world.
Think you need a Meatball in your life?

21. Harold
Young · Male · English Mastiff · 85 mi from Prescott Valley

MEET HAROLD — BIG PUMPKIN HEAD ALERT! ❤️
My name is Harold, and I’m a stunning 2-year-old English Mastiff with a giant pumpkin head and the personality to match.
I am pretty much the epitome of a lazy English Mastiff. My dream life? Give me a comfy couch, a soft bed, some good snacks, and my people nearby, and I’m one happy boy.
I’m people friendly and dog friendly, and I could live with kids over the age of 6. I’m a big, strong Mastiff boy, though, so little humans can easily get knocked over by my oversized self.
Now… we need to talk about my leash manners.
Read more about Harold
I’m terrible on a leash right now! I’m strong, I have places I think I need to go, and apparently nobody ever explained to me that I’m supposed to walk WITH the person holding the leash. We’re working on it, and I’ll need an adopter willing to continue teaching me that walks don’t involve dragging my human down the street.
Underneath all that muscle and that enormous pumpkin head is a sweet, lovable boy who just wants what every Mastiff wants — a family, a couch, love, and probably a snack or twelve.
If you’ve been waiting for a big, handsome, goofy English Mastiff to take over your couch, Harold might just be your guy.

22. Bruce 2
Adult · Mastiff (short coat) · 85 mi from Prescott Valley

My name is Bruce, and I’m about 3 years old. I’m a pretty calm, mellow guy who is just looking for a family to call my own.
What breed am I? Well… that’s still up for debate!
Cane Corso? Boerboel? Mastiff? Bullsomething.... A little bit of everything?
Whatever I am, one thing is for sure — I’m pure sweetness.
I’m house trained and crate trained, and overall, I’m just a really good boy. I don’t need to be the center of constant excitement. I’m perfectly happy hanging out with my people, relaxing, and enjoying the good life.
Since coming into rescue, I’ve also discovered something very important…
TREATS!

Ada is a petite girl who is around 6 years old, and she has lived a hard life. She has some old injuries to her hind leg, which we are working with our vet to address so she can live a full life comfortably and free of pain.We are just getting to know Ada, but what is clear is that she is a sweet and gentle girl. She absolutely loves being comforted, and she loves food! She is so patient. She’ll sit in front of you before you even have to ask and wait quietly while you dig into your treat bag.Ada truly deserves a life full of love, food, and comfy beds.
Read more about Ada
She will be having surgery soon to relieve the pain she feels from the injury to her back leg. Once she has recovered, she will be ready to find her forever home. Adoption Process:If you are interested in adopting one of our fun-loving, "not-so-rotten" Rotties, you will be asked to fill out our adoption application which allows us to get to know you better. This ensures the dog you are interested in is a good fit for your family and lifestyle. You can access our Adoption Application by visiting our website at www.rottenrottie.com (http://www.rottenrottie.com/), clicking on Adopt a Rottweiler, Adoption Application, and submitting the form online. After reviewing your answers, if we feel the dog you are interested in is not a match for your family, we may recommend a different Rottweiler companion. Once we determine which dog is best for you, we will schedule a meeting at their current home, where they feel most comfortable and act naturally. We require a home check to ensure each dog is going to a safe environment. To finalize the process, an adoption contract must be signed. We also require a rehoming fee, which is typically $500 for most adults and $350 for seniors (6 years and older) or Rottweiler mixes of any age (excluding puppies). Fees for puppies fluctuate depending on the investment required for the litter and whether they are purebred or a mix. These funds are necessary for our organization to continue rehoming Rottweilers in need. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and have tested negative for heartworms. Each dog comes with a collar and a leash. We also address any injuries or illnesses they had upon arrival or developed in foster care; any such conditions will be fully disclosed to the adopter prior to the adoption. Please Note: In almost all cases, we do not adopt to out-of-state applicants. On rare occasions, if we feel it is a PERFECT match for both you and the dog, we may make an exception for our neighbors in Las Vegas. If you live in Las Vegas and would like to be considered, please fill out our adoption application.

Meet Annabelle, a sweet young girl with a little wobble and so much love to give.
At approximately 1 year old and 49 pounds, Annabelle has already experienced too much uncertainty. Born in a shelter, she has lost two homes and is now waiting in a boarding facility for someone who will give her the lasting love and stability she deserves.
Read more about Annabelle
Annabelle may need a little time to warm up when meeting someone new. Give her a few moments to get comfortable, and her sweet, affectionate personality starts to shine. She is playful, loves pets and attention, and enjoys walks, exploring, and splashing in kiddie pools. She is potty trained, crate trained, and walks nicely once outside. She also lived successfully with cats in her previous home.
Annabelle has cerebellar hypoplasia, a condition she was born with that affects balance and coordination. For her, this means a slight wobble or head tilt at times. The condition does not progressively worsen. Shelter veterinarians report that she is happy, active, comfortable, and enjoying a good quality of life, with no special treatment currently needed. Her little wobble does not keep her from enjoying the things she loves.
This affectionate girl needs a patient, committed family who will love her just as she is. After so many changes, Annabelle deserves a home where she can finally settle in and stay.

MEET ONYX #3!!
Read more about Onyx
Meet Onyx, a goofy, fun-loving boy who is always ready for his next adventure! He loves playing fetch, romping with toys, going for car rides, and getting plenty of cuddles. Onyx is social and well-mannered, with basic obedience skills, leash and crate training, and even a cute “speak” on command! He loves people of all ages and gets along well with dogs, cats, and kids. 28. Travis
Young · Male · Cane Corso Mastiff (short coat) · 85 mi from Prescott Valley

Travis was found as a stray, doing his best to get by on his own — and now he's ready for someone to give him the home he's always deserved.
This handsome boy is as easygoing as he is gorgeous. He walks great on a leash, already follows basic commands, and has been good with every dog he's met so far. Even sweeter? He's been cute and gentle with kids too — a real testament to the good heart he's carried through everything he's been on his own.
Travis is proof that a dog can come from nothing and still show up ready to love. All he needs now is a family willing to give him the structure and consistency to keep thriving.

29. Maximus
Adult · Male · Mastiff (short coat) · 85 mi from Prescott Valley

MEET MAXIMUS — CAN YOU SAY HUGE HUNK OF LOVE?! That pretty much describes Maximus perfectly! Maximus is approximately 3½–4 years old and one seriously BIG, handsome boy. He was a shelter favorite in California, but when no one came for him, he ended up on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, we were able to get him out at the last hour. Maximus is past all those crazy puppy antics and is a pretty cool, calm and mellow guy. Female-dog friendly Has not yet been tested with male dogs Not dog reactive Does pretty well on a leash Not a jumper Mellow and easygoing Learning that treats are actually pretty awesome! So far, cow ears and bully sticks have definitely won his approval.
Read more about Maximus
Because Maximus is such a large boy, we think older kids would be the best fit. He doesn’t mean any harm, but one happy bump from this guy could send a little one flying! Maximus will also be getting his cherry eye surgery soon so he can be looking and feeling his very best. He’s simply a really nice, mature boy who would love a family to call his own. If you love the big guys, Maximus might just be your perfect huge hunk of love.

30. Madea
Adult · Female · Mastiff (short coat) · 85 mi from Prescott Valley

Madea is about 4 years old and came to us from a shelter in Northern California, where she was extremely scared, undersocialized and overwhelmed by the shelter environment. We were already there pulling another dog when we saw her, and we just couldn’t stand the thought of her losing her life simply because there were too many dogs and not enough space. Once you give Madea a little time to warm up, you discover the sweetest, gentlest little girl. House trained Calm and quiet Nice house manners Not destructive Male AND female dog friendly Loves to cuddle Gentle, soft personality Sadly, Madea has spent about 4½ months in boarding simply because we didn’t have an open foster space for her.
Read more about Madea
We are so excited to finally get to know her better and would LOVE to find her either a foster home or, even better, a forever family of her very own. We honestly aren’t quite sure what breed mix she is — but whatever she is, she’s adorable. Madea would be perfect for someone looking for a nice, gentle dog and a quieter companion. She definitely seems to seek out women a little more quickly than men, but bring out a hot dog and you may find yourself becoming her new best friend pretty fast! She’s also discovering that treats are pretty wonderful. So far, duck feet and bully sticks are getting her stamp of approval. Sometimes the dogs who need just a little extra time are the ones who end up loving you the hardest. Madea deserves the chance to finally know what it feels like to belong.

Adopting a large dog in Prescott Valley
Large dogs need room to stretch out and plenty of exercise: at least one good walk a day, and a secure yard is a bonus. Check your lease too, as some landlords limit the size or breed of dog.
Start training from day one. A big dog who walks nicely on a leash and doesn't jump up is a pleasure to live with, and many rescues can recommend a local trainer.
