A HANDSOME FELLOW: Approx. 4 years old / Approx. 23 lbs.
Hi I'm Miller! I joined Mostly Mutts from animal control and am enjoying my time with the volunteers while I wait for my new family to come adopt me!
• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I want to be your only dog as I don't care for the dogs I've met at Mostly Mutts. / Cats unknown. / Kids unknown.
Read more about Miller
• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I enjoy cuddling and was having some quiet snuggle time with a volunteer when all that traffic noise around the shelter interrupted. Hey, what's all the racket? Can't a guy enjoy his cuddles in peace? LOL! I'm a handsome, slightly shy, but very sweet guy who may need just a little time to warm up. / Energy level: 4-6.
• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and have already mastered the 'sit', 'down', 'stay', 'come', and 'drop it' commands. I also know how to greet friendly strangers without jumping on them. Let's continue my training together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs! / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / My potty manners have been good on the shelter schedule.
• MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I'm receiving medicated baths twice a week for a little while, and these can easily be done in my new home.
My adoption fee is $299.00, and I'm located in Kennesaw, Ga.
2. Stoney
Adult (2 years 11 months) · Male · Rat Terrier (short coat) · 98 mi from Chattanooga

Found as a stray in Georgia, 3-year-old Stoney's past is a bit of a mystery, but one thing is for certain: he is a gentle, sweet soul who is ready to give and receive all the love in the world.
Read more about Stoney
Stoney doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body. He adores human attention and wants nothing more than to feel safe and loved. Unlike many typical vocal terriers, Stoney is remarkably quiet! He rarely barks, only occasionally letting out a few woofs at something outside the fence. He gets along with dogs his own size (he weighs nearly 11 lbs.) but does not play with them other than an occasional short game of chase in the yard. Larger dogs make him feel a bit intimidated, so he does best with canine pals near his size. He has not been cat-tested yet.
Stoney's house-training is coming along well. He is still learning his routine and has the occasional accident—mainly first thing in the morning—so a patient adopter who can keep him on a steady schedule will help him cross the finish line. Coming from a stray life, household and outdoor sounds can be overwhelming for him. Loud appliances like vacuum cleaners or hair dryers or even quieter sounds like dinner cooking on the stove can send him cowering into a corner. However, the longer he resides in a home environment and realizes he's safe, the more his confidence is improving. At night, he sleeps quietly in his crate in his foster parent's bedroom, not making a peep until the humans are ready to rise and shine!
Stoney walks nicely on a leash, but if he encounters strange people, unfamiliar dogs, moving cars, or sudden noises, his instinct is to "freeze." Once the perceived danger passes, he resumes walking. He walks right along on quiet nature trails or open fields where he can sniff and explore without the hustle and bustle of traffic, humans, or other dogs.
Because Stoney is so sensitive to noises, he is looking for a gentle, predictable environment in a quiet suburban neighborhood or rural setting with a fenced area for him to feel secure. His ideal home is adult-only (or one with older, calm teenagers) with a parent or parents who are home much of the time to continue building his confidence. Fast-moving, noisy young children would be too overwhelming for him.
Stoney needs an adopter who understands that shy dogs take a little time to bloom. With patience, gentle encouragement, and a safe space, Stoney will prove to be the most loyal, loving companion you could ever ask for. Is Stoney the gentle buddy you've been searching for? See more photos of Stoney at www.imageevent.com/newrattitude/stoney , then apply to adopt him today!

3. Hugo
Young · Male · Retriever / Dachshund / Mixed · 80 mi from Chattanooga

A WONDERFUL FRIEND: Approx. 2 years old / Approx. 23 lbs.
Hi there, I'm Hugo! I came to Mostly Mutts when I found myself in need of a new home and family. I'm glad to be here and have enjoyed my time in a wonderful foster home. Now I'm having a great time in another foster home while I wait to meet my new family. I hope you'll come meet me soon and see if I'm the furry family member you've been looking for!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I've done very well with the two dogs in my first foster home, both of whom were male and around 15–20 pounds. I was very respectful when meeting them, even rolling over to show my belly to the more nervous one. Once they became comfortable with me, I got the zoomies and started inviting them to play! I shared toys nicely, enjoyed a fun game of tug-o-war with one of them, and loved having playmates. If the more nervous dog felt I was getting a little too energetic, he would give me a correction, and I listened, backed off, and gave him space. Of course, I'd kindly try again a little later—lol! I've been a wonderful housemate and have shown that I can be playful while still respecting another dog's boundaries. So, if you have a nice dog at home already, let's meet! / I've had a lovely introduction to the cat in my first foster home! She usually NEVER approaches dogs she doesn't know, but she took a liking to me almost immediately. When I first noticed her, I slowly approached and sniffed her, giving her a chance to sniff me, too. I didn't try to play with her but was content to calmly follow her around. I was very gentle and respectful of my new feline friend! Of course, all cats are different, so I'm not sure how I would do with another kitty. / I haven't met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let's meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.
• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I was a shy guy at the shelter, but once I went into my foster home, my fun-loving, happy personality just came out to surprise my foster family! I fit right into their fun, music-loving household in no time. I loved being included in all the activity with the people and other pets and was such a good guest that they said I was the best right from the start! I guess you could say I'm a pretty easygoing houseguest with a happy heart and a love for being part of the fun. I can't wait to settle into a home of my own where I can share in all the good times with you! / Energy level: 4-6.
• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I know the 'sit', 'down', 'come' and 'leave it' commands and I accept friendly strangers without jumping. I look forward to learning lots more. Let's continue my training together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs. / I did well in my crate in my first foster home with a nice bed and blanket. / My potty manners were great in my first foster home, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home as well.
• LIKES/DISLIKES: I love playing with my people, and honestly, it doesn't matter what we're doing as long as I'm doing it with you! I also enjoyed hanging out with the other pets in my foster home. Stuffed toys are fun, and a good game of tug-o-war is always a hit with me! I'm sure we'll discover lots of other things we will enjoy doing together once I'm settled in my new home. / Other than being at the shelter, I can't think of any dislikes, though like all dogs, I'm sure I wouldn't like it if I didn't get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.
• MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.
I'm a wonderful companion looking for a wonderful family! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I'm located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Hank is housetrained, gentle and very affectionate, gets along with other dogs, cats, children of all ages and is easy on the leash, although he does get excited if he sees a deer, a skunk, another dog etc. He is not a barker unless the Amazon delivery person stops by to deliver a package.

RESCUE #: 2026-10-03-02
BIO: This little guy just can’t seem to catch a break. Artie originally came from North Carolina, and since arriving, we discovered he is heartworm positive and has a mild back condition. His new adopters will need to ensure he avoids jumping and stairs, and stays at a healthy weight. His heartworm treatment will be complete by the end of December, at which point he will be ready for adoption.
When Artie first arrived, he was quite shy. After nearly a month in rescue, he has really come out of his shell and become very social with people he knows. Adopters should expect him to be a bit shy initially, but with a little time, he will become a loving and playful companion. He loves playing games, which includes playfully stealing items like dryer sheets, toys, or paper so you will chase him!
Artie currently uses a doggie door. If his new home does not have one, he will need to be taken out to potty on a regular schedule. Artie is crate trained so or if you were going to be gone crating him would be fine.
Our must haves for the little man are:
A fenced in yard is a must
Another small adult dog for him to hang with
Someone that can be home more than not
Please no apartments, high rises or condos
If you think you can give Artie a great forever home then don’t waste time. Fill out our application. He’ll be waiting for you to take him home the end of December. Thank you for thinking of rescue and wanting to help the homeless one rescue at a time.

7. Midgie
Young (3 years 5 months) · Female · Terrier / Boxer / Mixed (short coat) · 99 mi from Chattanooga

Midgie needs an active family with lots of outdoor time; hiking, running, swimming, or playing soccer. She loves them all!
If you don’t like a dog that wants to be in your lap, wrap her ‘arms’ arms around you tightly, and give you kisses… then Midgie isn’t for you. If you want that kind of love from a dog, then please keep reading.
Read more about Midgie
Miss Midgie is a super loving and energetic girl. She’s a total “people dog” and is great with kids. It seems like she could get by in life with just two things… a person to hug and kiss, and her herding ball. This girl’s got energy, but is fine entertaining herself with her beloved herding ball for hours. She’s good with other dogs that are not aggressive – she’s up for making new friends, but wont back down if another dog is not so nice to her.
Midgie is GREAT on a leash (no work went into this on her foster family’s part – all her nature). Midgie’s perfect forever family is one that will take her for walks and have a fenced yard (or keep an close eye on her if she’s off leash in the yard) – her youthful curiosity and ability to jump higher than the bionic woman mean that she sometimes makes her own decision to go exploring if left unattended. Again – a higher fence, zip line, or dog run (along with her beloved herding ball) have worked wonders to keep her safe while we’ve fostered her.
This smart and loving girl wants to be at the top of your consideration list - in return, she’ll be your best friend for life!
Age: 3.6 years
Weight: 40lbs
Temperament: Gets along with older sturdy kids, submissive male dogs
Training: Housetrained, has basic training
"Wait", "Sit", "Gentle", "Crate", "This way", and "Pull it"
Vetting: Spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative

9. Oakley
Adult (2 years 5 months) · Female · Yellow Labrador Retriever / Golden Retriever / Mixed (medium coat) · 77 mi from Chattanooga

This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions.
Read more about Oakley
Oakley is a soft-hearted girl whose happy tail and sweet smile are worth taking the time to earn. She may be a little shy when meeting someone new, but once she begins to feel safe, her affectionate personality starts to shine. Before long, you may find her happily wagging her tail just because you're sitting nearby and giving her a little attention. This lovely 2.5-year-old Lab mix weighs 46 pounds and has a moderate energy level. She enjoys leisurely walks, tasty treats, and one of her favorite pastimes, snuggling on the couch with her person. Oakley is housetrained, does well in her crate, and walks nicely on leash, making her an easy companion for daily routines. Oakley has done well with the other dogs and cat in her foster home. She has also been around chickens and a horse, which she simply ignores. New people and unfamiliar situations can make her timid and a little jumpy, so she will appreciate a calm, patient family that gives her time to settle in and build trust. She is still getting comfortable in her foster home, and there is likely even more of her sweet personality waiting to emerge. Oakley would love a quieter home where she can form a close bond with her people, enjoy daily walks and activities, and then curl up beside them for a relaxing evening. If you believe the best friendships are built with a little patience and a lot of love, Oakley may be the girl you've been waiting for. The Basics:
1.5 years old, 28 lbs, possibly a Beagle/Corgi mix
Housebroken and crate-trained
Great at the vet and loves meeting people outside
Very intelligent and responds well to training
Read more about Norma Jean
Her Personality:
Norma Jean is an affectionate girl who loves her people of all ages. She’s also a devoted, watchful companion who takes her role at home seriously. She's protective of her home and when strangers arrive, she can be cautious about welcoming them inside and bark. She’s been working with a trainer to learn that, as a little dog, she doesn’t have to be the big boss, and she’s making great progress. She does great when meeting people outside. Her new family will need to keep up that training.
With Other Dogs:
Norma Jean enjoys being around other dogs. She likes to meet dogs and take a short walk outside before being thrown in the backyard with them. She has a confident personality and knows her boundaries, so she’s best matched with playful, easygoing dogs whose personalities complement hers—or dogs who are happy to give her space. She responds well to cues from other dogs and has lived with dogs ranging in size from 8-80 pounds. Like many dogs, she prefers to eat separately so she can eat at her own pace. She has shown no resource guarding with humans.
Her Ideal Home:
A home with teens and adults, where everyone can be mindful of doors and entrances
A calm, consistent family committed to continuing her training
Daily exercise, playtime, and plenty of tennis-ball adventures!
Norma Jean needs a foster or adopter as soon as possible. She has so much love and personality to share. She’s looking for a foster or forever home where she can continue her training, enjoy her favorite activities, and be loved for the amazing dog she is.

15. Whisper Wren
Adult (3 years 6 months) · Female · Terrier / Mixed · 87 mi from Chattanooga

Whisper Wren is true to her name - a tiny, sweet shadow who rarely barks and just loves to be close.
At 10 pounds, this 3-year-old terrier mix is the perfect size for lap sitting, couch cuddling, and carrying her favorite toys around the house. She is house trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and is a quiet companion who is happy to just be with her person.
Whisper is looking for a home where she can be your one-and-only. She adores having your full attention and can get jealous of other dogs, so she would likely do best as the only dog in the home.

*Ideal home: Whisper would thrive with someone who wants a devoted best friend and can give her a little space around meals. Like many little dogs who love their people hard, she can be a little protective of her food and treats.

17. Bree
Young (10 months) · Female · Dachshund / Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat) · 77 mi from Chattanooga

This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions.
Read more about Bree
Bree wiggles her entire body the moment she sees her person, long ears bouncing up and down, and it is impossible not to smile. This 10-month-old Dachshund mix weighs 22 pounds and has the playful energy of a puppy. She loves squeaky toys, investigating new surroundings, and showering her favorite people with kisses on faces, ears, hands, and toes. When playtime winds down, there is nothing she likes better than curling up in a lap to watch TV, happy just to be near you. Bree is fully housetrained with no accidents so far, as long as she gets regular potty breaks in the morning, afternoon, and at bedtime. She is crate trained too, lying quietly inside, and she enjoys traveling in her crate and riding in the car. She does not know any commands yet, so she is a blank slate ready to learn. On walks she can go a good distance, stopping often to sniff everything along the way.
The big world outside can feel a little overwhelming to Bree. New noises, cars, people, and dogs make her nervous at first, and she may bark a little or try to keep her distance. The more she meets them, the braver she gets, and with time she warms up and her sweet personality shines through. She is a homebody at heart and perfectly content spending quiet time with her person.
Bree would be happiest with a family who will help her build confidence one new experience at a time, and who will enjoy having a loyal little lap buddy in return. With the right support, she is going to blossom into a wonderful, devoted companion. If you have the patience and heart to help a sweet girl find her courage, Bree would love to meet you. 18. Joe
Young (8 months) · Male · Cane Corso Mastiff / Mixed (short coat) · 99 mi from Chattanooga

Joe just showed up at a family's home and stayed. After attempts to find the owner failed, it was clear he was dumped.
He’s very sweet and easy going but still a very strong dominant type dog. We would prefer someone with experience with this breed but will consider if they’ll sign up for training. Amazingly smart and dedicated dogs as long as well socialized and time is spent with them.
We're saying only older, sturdy kids because he is so large and strong.
Age: 9 months
Weight: 68 lbs
Temperament: Gets along with cats, dogs and older sturdy kids
Training: needs basic training
Vetting: neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative

23. Vanessa
Adult · Female · Corgi / Terrier / Mixed · 80 mi from Chattanooga

A FUN, SWEET & ACTIVE FRIEND: Approx. 6 years old / Approx. 19 lbs.
Hi there, I'm Vanessa! I came to Mostly Mutts when I found myself in need of a new home. I'm enjoying my time with the nice volunteers who spend time with and take great care of me—they are so much fun to hang out with! Now I hear that I'm ready to find a wonderful family of my very own, where I can love and be loved furever! I hope to meet them very soon and charm them with my fun and lively spirit!
Read more about Vanessa
• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and initially liked them, but now I'm not sure as I have growled at them, so I may be best as your only dog. / No cats please. / I haven't met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let's meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.
• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I'm a playful, friendly, and sweet girl with an active personality and a whole lot of fun to share! I'm a busy gal who likes to keep things interesting, so if you're looking for a couch potato, that's not me! I'd love a family who enjoys spending time together and can give me plenty of fun activities to keep my mind and body happy. I was a very good girl for my bath, even lifting each paw for rinsing like a little lady! And just look at my beautiful coat! I do enjoy expressing myself with a bit of talking, so apartment or condo living may not be the best fit for me. One important thing to know is that I'm a door dasher, so please be extra careful when entering and exiting to keep me safe. I'm a lively, loving girl ready to bring plenty of fun and companionship to my furever family! / Energy level: 5-7, sometimes a bit higher.
• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and have already mastered the 'sit', 'down', 'come' and 'place' commands. I also have good leash walking manners. Let's continue my training together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs! / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts and were good in a temporary home I visited for about a week. / My potty manners have been good on the shelter schedule and were good in the temporary home I visited for about a week.
• LIKES/DISLIKES: I love toys, running around, and having fun with my people! If you have a fenced yard, I think we could have a great time running and playing together. I'm also a fan of good butt scratches (oh, that's the spot!) and, even though I'm an active girl, I enjoy being carried and held for a little cuddle time, too. I'm sure we'll discover lots more things we like doing together in our new home! / I can't think of any dislikes other than not getting enough activity and like all dogs, I'm sure I wouldn't like it if I didn't get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.
• MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental cleaning in the future.
I'm a wonderful fun-loving girl looking for a family that will include me in on the family fun and love me furever! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I'm located in Kennesaw, Ga.
24. Buddy II
Adult (2 years 4 months) · Male · Pointer / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (medium coat) · 77 mi from Chattanooga

Buddy II is a courtesy listing, not in the AARF foster program, and we are posting online to help the owner find a home for them. Please visit http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-app/ to apply.
Read more about Buddy II
Buddy is a big, goofy sweetheart who will chase a ball all day long and then happily offer you his whole heart. This two and a half year old Lab/Pointer mix weighs about 52 pounds and has a pair of adorable brown eyes that make it hard to resist. He is happy, enthusiastic, and full of energy, and once he bonds with his person, he is a total love who wants to play, cuddle, and be best friends. He might even enjoy agility or flyball, since he could chase a ball from sunrise to sunset. He is learning fetch and give, and he already knows sit and shake. Working on "no jump" is in progress, and he is eager to learn with treats in hand.
Buddy is housetrained and can go several hours between potty breaks. He seems to have been crate trained at some point, and he stays calm in his crate at home and in the car. He walks nicely on a leash around the yard. His previous owner spent a lot of time in and out of the hospital, so Buddy spent many hours at home on his own and got used to relaxing on the furniture. He will need a little patience if the new family has different house rules.
Buddy gets nervous around other dogs and would be happiest as the only pet. He has lots of enthusiasm for new people and is a big boy, so he would do best with teens, older kids, or active adults who can handle his exuberant greetings. Sadly, Buddy was a much-loved pet whose owner recently passed away.
If you have the heart to help this goofball with a loving home, Buddy would love to meet you. Reach out to A.A.R.F. by text at 931-260-8018 or visit https://www.aarf-tn.com to start the application process.

25. Jewel
Adult (5 years 9 months) · Female · Siberian Husky / Australian Shepherd / Mixed (long coat) · 77 mi from Chattanooga

Jewel is a courtesy listing, not in the AARF foster program, and we are posting online to help the owner find a home for her. Please visit http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-app/ to apply.
Read more about Jewel
Jewel treats every day like an adventure and every car ride like the best news she has heard all week. This happy, high-energy 5.5-year-old, 60 lb Australian Shepherd and Husky mix has a big personality and an even bigger love for life. She is happiest outdoors, running, exploring, and being part of whatever her people are doing, whether that means a ride in the car, a spot in the truck bed, or a trip to the park. She also has a sweet, snuggly side, and nothing makes her happier than climbing up for cuddles after a good play session.
Jewel is a smart girl who learns quickly. She knows sit, wait, belly (rolling over for belly rubs), turn, and a few fun tricks like orbit and around, and she is eager to work for her favorite peanut butter training treats. She is housetrained and has her own room where she settles in nicely. She is enthusiastic on the leash because it usually means an adventure is coming.
Jewel has a high play drive and a very enthusiastic style, so she does best with people who understand her energy and can offer structure and supervision. She has done well with larger dogs and with older kids around ten and up who know how to interact with an excited dog. Her ideal home is one without small children or small animals, where her playful spirit can shine and everyone feels comfortable. Her family has a new baby and she is just not fitting in with the new addition. The right home for Jewel is active and adventurous, with someone who enjoys training, exercise, and including her in everything. With consistency and plenty of love, she has so much potential to be an amazing companion.
If you are ready for a loyal, joyful girl who wants to be wherever you are, Jewel would love to meet you. Reach out to A.A.R.F. by text at 931-260-8018 or visit https://www.aarf-tn.com to start the application process.

============== Information for All Dogs/Adopters ==============
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund’s back or get bitten.
If you have questions about this dog, please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed on the bio form. They have the most up-to-date information concerning the dog and would be happy to answer any questions about the animal.
We cannot adopt into CT, RI, NH, ME, or MA due to strict laws regarding importation of dogs into those states. If you have any issue with this, you will need to take this up with your legislatures.
To understand the adoption process through AADR, please review the Adoption Information on our home page. Transportation options are outlined on that page in Step 3.

28. Nathan
Adult (4 years) · Male · Rat Terrier / Dachshund / Mixed (short coat) · 98 mi from Chattanooga

Say hello to Nathan! He's a 4-year-old rat terrier/Dachshund mix who found himself wandering alone in rural Virginia. Some kind animal control folks picked him up and he ended up with New Rattitude. Nathan is being fostered in a boarding, daycare, and training facility (with access to a room just for the little dogs).
When given his space, Nathan is a comical, friendly, happy boy. He will throw balls for himself, even sometimes picking them up in his front legs to toss. He enjoys chew bones and can entertain himself for long periods of time.
Read more about Nathan
He's cute as a button too, with a rat terrier head and Dachshund body. He's named after the hotdogs since he looks like a little sausage. At 17 lbs,, Nathan is capable and scrappy. He walks on a leash and enjoys running in the fenced yards. He learned the dog door quickly, and since getting neutered, has not had accidents in the house. We recommend treating Nathan like a puppy when you first get him home and take him out frequently.
Nathan needs his space, and isn't thrilled when other dogs try to take his things. Nathan is not a good fit for a home with larger dogs as he is grumpy about his space, food, and toys, and will start things he cannot finish with bigger dogs. Nathan can be a little snippy with people and his toys as well. He has learned "Give" and "Leave it" while in his foster home, and will do so when a grown up tells him. However, small children are probably not going to enjoy time with him. If they try to take Nathan's things, he will show them the error of their ways.
If you are looking for a cute, smart, funny dog and don't have lots of other animals or kids in your home, Nathan just might be your guy!

29. Toefoo
Adult (3 years 11 months) · Female · Rat Terrier (short coat) · 98 mi from Chattanooga

Meet Toefoo! She's a 4-year-old purebred rat terrier who found herself in New Rattitude's care after she decided the other dog in her home was not welcome. Toefoo came to us VERY obese. While in her foster home, she has had controlled meals and lots of outside time with exercise. She has already lost several pounds and feels so much better for it. She is now 22 lbs., but is hoping to get to under 20 lbs.
Read more about Toefoo
Toefoo gets along fine with the dogs in her foster home, and there are a lot of them. She is being fostered at a boarding, daycare, and training facility and every day brings a new group of friends. She is crate-trained, and has her meals in her crate. She sleeps in her crate overnight, but would be fine sleeping with you, or in a dog bed once she is adopted.
Toefoo is house-trained and has mastered the dog door quickly. She goes in and out throughout the day to do her business. When she first got to her foster home she was not leash trained. With persistence and patience she has learned that the leash is not a bad thing and that she gets to go with her people if she has it on.
We don't think Toefoo was out in the world much before coming to her foster home. If you want her to take long walks and visit places with you, you will need to give her time to learn about being out and about. She gets spooked and will try to run away, but once she knows you've got her back, she settles down.
Toefoo is very affectionate with the people she knows and is super happy to see you. She's got a full-body wag and big smile. Could she be your newest family member? More images of Toefoo are available in her album: https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/toefoo

Why adopt an adult dog in Chattanooga
An adult dog's personality is fully formed, so the rescue can tell you how they are with people, other pets and busy households. Many have lived in foster homes and are already house-trained.
Grown dogs need less supervision than puppies and often know the basics, like sitting and walking on a leash, which suits people who work or have young children.

Should I adopt an adult dog or a puppy?
It depends on your home. An adult dog's personality is already known and they need less supervision; puppies need more time and training but grow up with your family. The rescues can help you find the right match.
